Don't let the exterior of this place fool you. That's how you know the pizza is going to be good. Honestly, it's clean inside, the people are nice, and the food is great. The restroom situation seems sketch because you go thru the kitchen, but it's cool they allow that. I went for the Detroit pizza. It was really good and I would go again. Too bad the place isn't so big inside to accommodate large parties. There are like more more than 5ish tables inside. I would go back and recommend read more

We drove by and the name of the restaurant caught my eye. It's small, about 4 pinic style tables. There were 4 people working & the menu is easy to read. They told us the top pizzas and made a couple recommendations. We chose the small birria pizza with consume, the strawberry spinach salad and 2 bottled drinks (they do not have fountain drinks). Cost was $38. We were dining in, but the pre-made salad & the drinks were not given to us before the pizza, so we sat and waited...thirsty and hungry. No biggie, maybe I was suppose to ask for it? Food took around 15-20 min. I like that the pizza is rectangular & the cheese around the edges is mouth watering crusty. It's deep dish style and the small could probably feed 3. The overall pizza was just okay, the consume was not bad. The salad was fresh and enough for 2 people to share. The workers were nice, but lacked customer service. We probably won't be back, but it definitely worth a try. read more

Great customer service. Thank you Pauline. She is very welcoming and did a little happy dance as she brought out the food, it created a happy environment. The wings are definitely WET! Soaked in the sauce. We got the lemon pepper and Buffalo wings The garlic beard is probably the best garlic beard I've had in a long time. Now the 7 cheese pizza definitely lives up to it's name, this pizza is THICCC Delicious food overall and would definitely recommend it. read more

Hello again good people! So we tried this place for the first time and ya it is delicious! Had the Detroit pep pizza with a side of garlic bread a burrata salad and Mediterranean salad. Everything tasted amazing! The pizza was bursting with flavor and cheese goodness, the "Burrata salad" was an amazing burst of flavors with cherry tomatoes pesto balsamic vinegar and olive oil drizzled over the top a must try! Delicioso! Everything down to the side bread was delicious! The place is small so big parties plan ahead. We will definitely return to sample other specialties on the menu! Everyone have a happy and safe new year cheers! read more

First timer here! Heard about this place through a TikTok and Reel, and let me tell ya, it did NOT disappoint. The food was delicious. The garlic bread cheese dip was gooey, creamy, and savory. My friend and I joked that we could have each ordered a plate of it and that would have been a meal alone. Thankfully we chose that as our appetizer and we ordered the small 7 cheese pizza to share. We got full pretty fast so we took some to go. The list of pizzas all sounded so good that it was impossible to choose from! We've planned to return for the birria and taco pizzas, and to try out some pastas. I didn't get the name of the employee helping us today, but they were awesome with their recommendations and engaging with us, asking how we heard about the place. We dined in and there were a few picnic-like tables inside which made the experience feel cozy and nice. Overall, 10/10 experience! read more

This place is right by my house so it is pretty easy to get, however it is pretty expensive, and compared to the other pizza places in that center, it's definitely pricey. The pizza is very good though, and that's great because it's hard to find good square pizzas around the area. I've never say inside, but from what I could tell it's small, but neat. The server gave me extra peppers and cheese without me asking and seemed very polite. I will probably go here again when im craving a square slice, but it will be a rare occasion. read more

First time here and the food is amazingly delicious! Their pizza is cheesy and the bread is nice and soft. When we walked in we were greeted, the cashier helped us decide and was very accommodating. I definitely recommend this place if you are craving pasta and pizza read more

Everything was amazing. I ordered the Detroit style pizza and the birria pizza. The taste and quality of everything was amazing. The cheese pull was awesome. I also got the lemon pepper wings and it tasted super good. The wings were nice big and juicy. 14 bucks for a pound of wings is a steal. read more

This pizza is not Napoletana. It is not a slice of pie from NY. It is not California style (Pizza the Hut, Pjs, CpeeK, Doms) nor is it mid-western style. It is classic Chicago style, made with skill and attention to detail, in seasoned, specialty, pans. If you have had the honor of living in Chi-town you will recognize their quality, no doubt. And! If you get tired of their out of this world Classic Chicago style pizza, I humbly suggest that you try the Shawarma or the Mediterranean. Both taste as good as the pictures suggest! So. Good. The staff is so sweet and loveable! There were 2 young ladies working. One took my order and the other one cooked. They got everything right! They are so cool! read more

Wanted to try something different for our Friday night pizza and remembered passing this place in Whittier. It's a small place with maybe one table to eat at inside. Definitely recommend take out. We called ahead and ordered the Detroit Style Deep Dish pizza and the Garlic Bread Dip. Only took about 15-20 minutes for the order to be ready for pickup. The pizza was definitely good and a nice change from a traditional slice. I will say the Garlic Bread dip was by far our favorite that we definitely will order again next time. read more

Delicious delicious delicious! My husband and I drove all the from garden grove to try this place out and it was soo worth it! Best Detroit style pizza I've had in a long time!! read more

The most important is the food which surpassed our expectations. Made to order meaning super fresh!! Unique options so not your ordinary pizza. Customer service was excellent. Friendly and accommodating. Storefront is simple and located in small plaza; parking is available. A few tables indoors with minimal decor, think casual vibe. If you don't like benches for sitting, consider take out. We visited in July at lunch time so, even with AC, the temp was only moderately comfortable. But hey, this is normal for a small open kitchen prep eatery. I really like being able to see the people making the food. If you are driving distance from Whittier, give this place a visit. Delicious food, nice staff, competitive pricing. read more

Definitely the best pizza in the area, super easy to pick up, got the pepperoni and Street taco Detroit style pizza, very tasty

I've been driving by this gem on my way to Costco for the past year and didn't think to look them up on Yelp at all and I'm mad at myself! I just thought it was a "cheesy" pizza joint (pun intended) that served average pizza... plus, we try to avoid pizza due to the carbs.... Then, I saw a review about Keto pizza crust... like legit, they made it from scratch Keto crust. I usually have to make low carb pizza at home or sometimes we'll buy cauliflower crust pizza which is barely low carb to feel a little less guilty... We ordered two keto crust pizzas (small), one supreme without beef for me, and the other meat lovers for hubby. It came out to about 25 bucks for each plus tax. Keto crust is a big add on because almond flour and keto ingredients are not cheap and I know because I cook and bake that way all the time. I was excited to try Detroit style pizza which I've yet to try. Overall, great service and loved all the women running the shop! At least the night we went. We may not go often because it's steep in price for our diet but it was very delicious and one slice easily filled us up for a meal so it lasted us a few days. Ingredients felt like they used top quality produce, cheese and meat. Oh, I really liked the tomato sauce. I would get extra on the side next time since I'm a saucy gal. read more

Xtra Cheese - Keto crust supreme, no beef. Delicious! - Pizza Near Me - Whittier, California

Best pizza in the Whittier area. Detroit style. Beautiful crust. The pepperoni was delish.

So let me say like most people recently I have been wanting to try this place for a long time. I got the keto crust half hamburger half chipotle shrimp; garlic cheese dip & lemon pepper wings. Let's take this one at a time first the only thing I ate all of was the dip; I love garlic and I love cheese this was all cheese and it was so much you know when you have to much cheese it just taste plastic I want to like it and was driving back home because it was a 30 min drive. I wanted more garlic less cheese. Lemon pepper wings - I am not sure what I got but let me just say it was in a sauce that by the 3/4 wing had a kick to it. I have learned I am definitely a snob when it comes to lemon pepper wings because I make the with lemon juice & pepper. The sauce on these wings was brown/red I even brought it home and husband was like not lemon pepper. Now the pizza the thing I was most excited for the keto crust I took one bite and that was it I was done it was so gross. It was like eating a sponge. I am not sure if it was because it sat in the car for almost an hour going home. Now the question I spent 63 dollars and so much time would I go back. That answer is no if it was around the corner than yes but because it is over 30 min away I can't see going that far for food that doesn't knock my socks off. The reason that it gets two starts was the customer service was great and they genuinely were helpful when ordering from the menu. read more

Was very taste and loved everything about it. Definitely freshly cooked per order, we did have to wait for it to cook. Plan to order ahead next time so it will be ready by the time we get there. read more

I just discovered this place, and I was super impressed. I had never even heard of Detroit style pizza before. Definitely an experience that every pizza lover should try! Hands down the best pizza anywhere! The pasta was beautifully cooked. We tried the oil-garlic pasta and the Alfredo both delicious. Back to the pizza, the crust has intentionally crisped cheese around the edges and the cheeses are all so tasty!!! I highly recommend the 7 cheese (I'm usually a meat eater) pizza. I'll try another pizza next time. I will definitely return! The service was GREAT! The restaurant itself is nice and clean! You must try this place, it's better than pizza I've had in New York and Italy (sorry Italy). read more

Came in to try the Detroit pizza and was NOT disappointed it was sooo delish the crust was just slightly crunchy. The only sad thing is its $35 for a large one that feeds 4, and if u feed 4 the each of you only get 2 slices would love to enjoy at least 3 slices of this Detroit pizza. Worker assisting me was very informative and kind. I will definitely return although the price is higher... so worth it. read more

Been by this place a few times, thought I'd try it...on a scale of one to ten its a 5....garlic knots were decent( pretty rich though)..my small deep dish pepperoni could of feed a family of four, which is good for the twenty dollar price tag.....if it were available, I would of bought a slice...not sure it was option...the place was clean, but the girl who took my order, which I assume was the owner, had a frown on her face the whole time...smile, it goes a long way with your customers and employess....one last thing, my pizza was cheeseless....not so much " xtra cheese" read more

One of the best Detroit pizza I've had so far. The customer service was excellent. The eating area was clean and neat. The only thing I didn't like. Was the thickness of the dough however reheating the left overs in the toaster oven the next morning took care of that. I will definitely return soon. If it's your first time I recommend the Detroit pepperoni. read more

Drove an hour to hit this spot and it did not disappoint, the drive was way worth it. Customer service was excellent very friendly and family oriented people. We had the birria pizza super good my only complaint and not even a big deal was the cosome was more like middle eastern flavored with clove and bay leaf I'm used to more traditional Mexican cosome it was still good though. Garlic cheese bread was ridiculously tasty and soooooo fresh with a great cheesy garlic flavor. The regular cheese with pepperoni pizza was also very good a lot of depth of flavors popping in these pizzas and the cheese crust on the outside of the pizza omg to good. We also had the harissa wings which were very good again had a middle eastern spice to them with perfect spice and crunch. Definitely recommend hitting this place up, I can't wait to go back and try more flavors of pizza. Very small dining area inside so hard for big parties to dine in but super good flavorful food and awesome service. read more

Good pizza but a bit pricy the garlic bread was good we also had the wings they were average if I would go back it would be for the piazza

Was very excited to try this spot based on the reviews. We ordered a large pizza, half birria and the other half was pepperoni, jalapeño and pineapple. The pizza was $46 and we were so disappointed it did not even fill the box (10 slices total, 6 small slices and 4 regular sized slices). Honestly, it's the smallest large I've ever seen. The up charge was due to splitting the pizza, but the premium we paid for the other toppings (pepperoni, jalapeño and pineapple) did not deliver as there was maybe an average of 8 pieces of each topping on that half. I would expect to receive more than that for $2.50 per topping. The small pizza tasted very good, but for the price, sadly, it wasn't worth it. read more

I thought the pizza was too hard to extract from the box and too hard to break off a piece to eat. I don't like to wrestle with my food.

Man this place was 6/5 stars. After they reopened though nothing tastes the same. I gave it two tries just in case it was a fluke but both times it was just... different. I haven't gone back in a couple months. I don't mean to be harsh, they work hard and are super nice. The pizza is still good but not amazing. And the garlic bread cheese dip which was the best thing ever was now kinda meh. They must have changed recipes or something. I hope it is a temporary change. ***This change may have been to covid supply shortages I don't know. All I can say is I hope they go back to their old recipes. I will be back on day 1 if they do. Please let me know if it was just a bad couple months of supplies! read more

I wish I could give this restaurant 10 stars. Seriously the best pizza I've ever had. Pizza is deep dish Detroit style- oh my gosh was it delicious! High quality ingredients you can taste in every bite. We ordered the Mediterranean pizza; it had feta cheese, olives, tzatziki sauce, and a mountain of cheese. The edges of the crust that touched the deep dish pan had an amazingly delicious crispy baked cheese layer around the crust. Every bite was a revelation. They have a wide array of gourmet bottled sodas available as well. Very clean restaurant with a very friendly staff. Small place, about four picnic tables available inside. read more

Ordering was easy and food was ready as promised. I ordered a small Detroit pepperoni, being that it was my first time here along with a 6pc order of buffalo wings. Overall, both items were good. They use beef pepperoni, being that they are a halal establishment. I must say, it does not have the same taste as with pork and it took away the 'sparkle' of what I like my pizza's to taste like. However, the toasty cheese and buttery crust were good. The wings had a nice spice with the sauce, however, there was a cinnamon taste to the sauce, which I don't believe goes well. The 3* rating for me is just my preferred taste wasn't there. But if you haven't tried them, by all means, please do check them out. You might love them, as many of the reviewers have here. read more

New pizza spot! Delicious, thick crust, Detroit style pizza! Halal too!! Hubby and I tried the cheeseburger and pepperoni pizzas (small size). Each pizza had 8 square slices. 2 slices were more than enough for each of us! The crust is thicker but they also add a lot of toppings. The crust is crunchy and delicious. Overall, the pizzas were sooooo good. The cheeseburger pizza actually tasted like a cheeseburger and the pepperoni pizza had 2 layers of pepperoni. Can't wait to try this place again! read more

This place is the ultimate comfort/cheat meal place! The pizza is phenomenal with the cheese and meat hidden under the sauce and crispy crust which makes the whole thing perfect! That alone is enough to give this establishment 5 stars! read more

Ok....so if you haven't tried this place, YOU MUST! Their pizza is bomb! The crust is thick and really cheesy & crispy (in a good way, trust me).
