My favorite thing there is this "stuffed" pizza which is like basically two slices baked together in a delicious cheesy. I love this place! as a Whittier local, I've eaten at Tony's for years. I absolutely love the two slice combo with free knots, and the Tony's sub. The Tony's sub is giant and less than 13$. You cannot beat that price for the food you're getting.the pizza slice variation is also nice with my favorites being the white artichoke and the BBQ chicken pizza. The environment is calm with plenty of school pictures on the walls, I will say it's a bit hot inside so if that bothers you then order it to go. If your looking for heavy Italian that will get you stuffed look no further, I will say if your looking for something light with more sour/vinegar style, there are other places that could scratch that itch. read more

They always have a great selection of different styles of pizza to choose from. All is good to be honest different toppings and cheese and sauce accents each slice. There was a owner change a while back but so glad they kept the style and the way the pizza is made. Place is clean and cosy to some they may say run down no not at all it's a mom and pop and feels like visiting your uncles or aunts pizza place. The young lady who helped us is making the pizza as well as being counter staff. I remember when pizza was a $1.00 a slice how time flies and pizza by the slice is so expensive now. I was hungry and was looking to get a slice of pizza and I know Tony's sells it that way and by the pie if you want that route. You walk in and they have several types to choose from and today I got the ham and pineapple and it was so cheesy the way I like it. The second was the margarita which was saucy and thin crust. It was good too but I'd definitely go back to get the ham and pineapple next time around. The server was helpful and since I got the combo I opted for a soda instead of two garlic knots. They have a good amount of seats inside or if you choose outside seating they also have but no heating lamps especially now since it's cold. Soda is refillable if you dine in. They also have pastas and other items on the menu. They have ample parking for this establishment. read more

So delicious. I gave them a 5 star for the best pizza and sauce in the area! I happened to be on this side of town running errands and I was having people over for pizza! I'd been here before but I had their Alfredo Fetti!! That was very good. The sauce was creamy and the flavor was smooth and not salty! It didn't dry up and clump like some other places. This time I ordered pizza and wings! Let me tell you, if you haven't tried Tony's you don't know what you're missing. You come for a slice of a pie!! It takes about 25 minutes and you're be greater with a smile and top notch service. We ordered an xl pepperoni and mushroom, the pepperoni was good and not greasy, the mushrooms were fresh and the pizza was littered with them. So good! The second pizza was a medium pepperoni and pineapple, my great nieces favorite. They should name this pizza the Melanie!! The wings come 10 to an order, were not over cooked and they were a good size. I think they were a little bigger than the local HH pollo leg lol. No joke a photo was posted to their review ! Overall this was a good meal that cost about 61. As I said I encourage you to try them and I promise you'll be back or your taste buds are damaged Parking can be an issue. A lot of places near by. This place is great. We stop in for lunch all the time and the food is always good. The people working there are nice and helpful plus your dollar goes so much farther here than next door at Panera. I love the way they have pre-cooked pizza and you can mix and match slices. read more

I have been going to Tony's Pizza ever since I was a little kid, when it was located inside the Whittwood Mall. I am about to turn 40, so that tells you something. I absolutely love this place. The pizza is fantastic. The 2 that stick out to me are the pizza Bianca and the BBQ chicken pizza. It beats any other BBQ chicken pizza Ive ever had. If you are a fan of ricotta cheese, you gotta try the Bianca. Service is always pleasant. It is fast food type seating, and there are also tables to enjoy outside. I now live in OC, but will sometimes drive to Whittier to pick up some amazing pizzas for my family. read more

As others have pointed out, they changed owners awhile back and it shows with the steep drop in quality and it is way overpriced. I recently went about a week ago, and it was 12 dollars for two non-specialty slices(literally pepperoni and jalapenos) and a garlic knot and I felt ripped off. Floppy thin pizza that can't even support itself and a garlic knot that was so hard that it was inedible. Dominos new york style pizza is better than this, hell even Sbarro is better. The old days are long gone. I remember when this place had a spaghetti dinner for like 7 bucks and two slices were almost the same price. I know times are changing with inflation, but just no excuse when I can literally go to New York and get gourmet pizza slices from well known places for cheaper. read more

This used to be one of our favorite places to grab a slice of pizza until their customer service truly declined in addition to the quality of their food. A few months ago my husband and I came and order 2 slices of pizza with their promo of free garlic knots and it took over 30 minutes for them just to heat that up and serve. There was no apology given and sense of customer service. We came again just recently and the person who was working the cashier and took our order had falsely advertised that they had the lasagna pizza available. I was skeptical stating it didn't look like it from the outside but he insisted it was. The pizza was cold, had no meatballs or sausage like the lasagna pizza is supposed to. It was basically a veggie pizza with ricotta cheese. Their "free" garlic knots were also cold and rock hard. It was raining that day and there were leaks from the ceiling that dripped onto the tables where people ate and they did nothing to clean, dry or warn customers. I used to love this place. Been going for years. The dough is still tasty, but they've cheaped out so badly on so many things that it just makes me mad to eat their pizza now--and that ain't right. Pizza should bring joy! The crust is so thin in the middle now that it can't support the sauce and cheese anymore and just tears away. It's literally thin enough to see light through. It's pretty much dough again because it's so wet. Seriously, there's no excuse for that. And the toppings! There were maaaaybe 3 whole mushrooms on my large tonight. Pepperonis were 2" away from each other. This is crap the discount chains used to pull. This isn't the first time, either. I used to order XLs until they got super thin in the middle. I ate here a few weeks back. Like most of us that grew up in Whittier. Tony's pizza in the food court at the Whittwood mall was the spot to eat. This pizza taste nothing like the original Tony's crust was to hard and burnt. Not the soft crust. I remember. The sauce taste different. We ended up buying some sauce from an Italian restaurant to dip it in, and it helped a lot. The good thing was, it came with a lot of pieces. The pizza is ok too. Came in on Sunday, 1/11, to grab some pizzas for football, and service here is always warm and friendly. I love that the cheese on this pizza doesn't just slip off in one whole like some places. Just great pizza! Fresh ingredients. We've also enjoyed their pastas and salads. On our most recent visit, we tried cannolis for the first time and they did not disappoint. The Hawaiian pizza crust was hard and almost burnt. And where was the ham? I know it's hard for small businesses to make a go of it but you have to give customers good food. The issue is that the food is no longer made with as much attention to detail as it used to. The consistency of this once beloved spot is no more. I'm no longer a fan of their calzone. All the cheese was on one side and the veggies spread on the other. Very bland. Pepperoni was somewhat evenly distributed. Sucks because I remember their calzone being completely different in terms of preparation and flavor. On our last visit, the pizzas both tasted like they had been made already and they re-heated them. Sadly the quality has gone down, but the prices have gone up. The last time we dined here was such a let down we haven't returned since. We'll be back at some point, just kind of bummed after our last experience. Expenses: 0/1 The last time we were here our order was ~50 for two large pizzas, which is somewhat standard for gourmet pizzas, but our food was not made fresh and it showed. It's only been worth the price on about half of our last 4 visits. We were able to pay via debit card. Location: 1/1 The location is easily accessible with plenty of parking spaces available in a huge lot. The staff is friendly and the location is clean. Possibility of a Future Visit & Recommendation: 1/1 I'll be back at some point and I recommend checking this spot out if you're around, but I would think twice about making a long trip out to try this spot as it has not been delivering a good product consistently. They seem very busy with online orders and pickups. Which is a good sign. You can order by the slice or a whole pizza which is what I did. The vibe is very New York. Come to find out that the owner is Italian. I saw him walk out as I was waiting and when I walked out heard him speaking in Italian with customers who were dining outside. When I first moved here from New York in the 80s, this place was the closest thing to having slices from the Brooklynn and Queens pizzerias that I would go to. They were owned and operated by a family who are actually from Brooklyn and that made all the difference in the quality and the taste of their pizza. They have new ownership now, but the food is still tasty and I would recommend it for New York style slices. read more

This is not the Tony's pizza it used to be! Lasagna pizza now has those frozen sausage nuggets instead of sliced meatball. Crust does not have the same taste or chewy texture and is way to thin in the center. There is hardly any cheese on this imposter! The tomato sauce is not in dollops on the pizza like it used to. The Ricotta cheese tastes different (cheaper quality) and is very sparse. The original had fresh cut basil generously sprinkled on it. Look at the OLD PHOTOS of this pizza prior to 2025 and you will see a much thicker and heartier pizza. Sad to say the pizza does taste the way it used to as I have been a frequent Tonys customer for years. See my previous review of what used to be for reference. First time eating at Tony's pizza located inside the Whittwood Mall. We ordered individual slices - cheese and pepperoni. We learned that if you order two slices, you get a free drink. That was a plus! The total for the 2 slices was approximately $8. The pizza slices were huge. They slices were hot - they had reheated the pizza. The service was great. We. Immediately got greeted by the staff, and our order was given to us within 3 min. We came in around 2ish, so they were not busy. The inside also had cool ambiance with a low light feel and lots of pictures on the walls. They had some xtmas lights around the windows. We will be returning to try other pizzas. read more

Went in on Saturday night and the staff was off putting. The girl working at the register was very bossy and telling a younger guy there that he NEEDS to pick up the phone... NOW.. she could have picks up the phone while he was packing an order. I believe that because of their bickering it caused them to over heat our pizza.
