I hired ASD for a complex kitchen countertop and backsplash project after seeing their stunning backlit Crystallo stone installation in a Street of Dreams project. My project entailed a backlit island, multiple cutouts and a curved wall structure. From my first conversation with Marina, one of the owners, I knew I was in excellent hands. She was exceptionally customer-focused, providing multiple updated quotations as my project evolved and offering thoughtful guidance on stone selection and other design decisions. She was patient, knowledgeable, and never tired of my many questions. When I found my Crystallo Quartzite at MSI, Marina offered to pick it up and store it for m and held it for more than two years while I finalized my cabinetry and overall kitchen design. Throughout that time, she checked in kindly and never once showed frustration or impatience. She was absolutely wonderful to work with. ASD's fabrication team is among the best I have encountered. They beautifully fabricated the various pieces of my Crystallo Quartzite, which is an exceptionally delicate and translucent stone. Eduardo and Leo in the fabrication shop were outstanding. They took the time to provide samples, review templates, and patiently create multiple edge samples so I could make an informed decision. Eduardo was nearly ready to leave for the day when I asked for one more edge sample, and he graciously made it without hesitation. It is rare to find professionals who are so genuinely committed to customer satisfaction, and Eduardo exemplified that level of dedication. The installation crew was equally fantastic. They worked diligently, took great pride in their craftsmanship, and were fully invested in delivering the level of quality I was hoping for. Lim, the lead installer, was polite, friendly, and consistently positive throughout the process. The install crew including Juan, Geo, Ivan, and several others--put tremendous care into shaping the edges and polishing the seams to perfection on a very challenging quartzite. Their seam-polishing technique is truly world-class. ASD allowed them to take the time needed to perfect the results unlike other fabricators who rush through projects to maximize ROI. They stayed up late to clean and seal the stone thoroughly before they left. ASD also designed and installed my backlit island waterfall, and the final result is absolutely gorgeous. They artistically assembled slivers of the quartzite to cover my curved wall for a stunning look! Just as importantly, they stand behind their work and assured me they would be available if I noticed any issues after the installation was complete. I highly recommend Artistic Stone Design for any stone fabrication project. Their artistry, professionalism, patience, and commitment to quality are exceptional. There is an older gentleman with a beard who has worked here for many years. He is always rude to his subordinate staff. Last time I went I had a delightful young man help me. When he asked the older guy for assistance, adding the cabinets to their complex computer program, and even though he had only been working there a few days, the older guy insulted him and acted like he was an idiot for not knowing how to do it already? He does not offer a safe workspace to his subordinate staff. He has been there for years, so it's difficult to ever go there without him being present. The cabinets I got were well worth the price. But this gentleman makes the experience very unpleasant every time I shop here.

I called all over town to anyone listed on Google looking for someone to do a relatively simple install of 2 skylights. As it turns out, it's damn near impossible to find a reliable company that is willing to sell you the skylight and complete the installation. I must've burned through 8 companies before I finally checked the Velux website for certified installers in PDX. Sure enough, Green City Skylights and Solar were one of only TWO companies on the list. I called and got Shawn, who owns the company. He responded promptly to my call, showed up to my house on time, and got me an estimate in less than 6 hours. This may not seem like much, but he was the only one of 5 companies to do all of these things right. His estimate wasn't the cheapest, but he was by far the most knowledgeable and likable of the lot. We signed with Green City 2 weeks ago and I'm already the proud owner of two freshly installed skylights. They did the work in less than a day, the crew were all good guys and obvious pros, and they didn't leave the place a total mess. I even volunteered to vacuum the schmutz that they did leave behind. If you're out looking for skylights, I feel your pain. Just do yourself a favor and make sure Green City is in the mix. They'll take everybody else to school.

We had a small flood in our kitchen and staff from the restoration firm we hired cut numerous and excessively large holes in the base supports of our cabinets. In many places, these spanned cabinet joints and left the cabinets without proper support. We also had a cabinet door damaged during the process - a broken hinge for which no replacement parts were available still. We had other cabinet doors knocked out of alignment. Trying to find a firm to fix these, replace the kickplates/trim, etc. that were left by the restoration company was difficult. It was a relatively small job. Ervin was one of only 2 companies that responded and was willing to take on our small job. Not only did Top Refinish respond immediately, they sent out an estimator promptly. Ervin and his employees are all great communicators. Everything was very professional and their costs are reasonable given their expertise. Give them a call for a bid. You'll be glad you did.

We used to love this place before they moved locations. They seemed to have downsized so their self…read morewash services are very limited. We went in 3 hrs before close, had to wait 20 minutes before anyone came out to the front desk, and they turned us away because their self wash baths were full at the moment and they had 2 people waiting. Before they moved they had 4 or 5 baths and we never had to wait longer than a couple mins. Their new location is also tucked away in an area where you cant find them unless youre looking for them. Overall, disappointed with their new location and service. I'm sure they're self wash and grooming services are still good but we didnt get to find out lol. We ended up going to Elegant Dog Grooming and will be continuing to take our business there as they have 10 self wash baths and a large open space.
