My four other friends and I had such a wonderful time that we did all three rooms in one night! The puzzles/challenges were interesting and kept us all working together to get them all complete. We leveraged on each other to get ideas rolling, but each step of the way was fun! The Taken room took us some time but were able to finish it with six mins to spare. Then off to the challenging Bank Job room. This one made us work hard with the many puzzles right in our face but having to work well with all of the steps. We finished off the night with the Estate room and this one would be highly suggested with the concept of the more people the better! It was challenging but after doing two other rooms I am not sure if we were tired from the other rooms or we got a warm up from them. A couple went in there before us and they said they would have liked more than two people. We were able to get all the challenges done but I sure asked for help on some things. Overall wonderful time!!!! Ron and his brother (I'm so sorry I forgot his name!) were so nice and kept the fun going when we asked for our hints - there were somethings that even right under our noses escaped the collective IQ of 50! We've done a half dozen escape rooms previously, and this is as well-done as those we did in the cities. Far, far better than one we did in California! We previously did "The Estate" here and it us really fun and clever; this time we did "Taken" which had a very interesting beginning, good background music, and interesting puzzles. We made it out just in time! Before starting they should have given us some idea how to work a couple of the lockboxes. We wasted precious time back tracking our puzzles because we thought we had the wrong combination, and we just didn't know how the lockbox came open. The facility is clean, the guys there are friendly, the parking is easy. We are so lucky to have this great entertainment option available here! We will be back! A group of over sixties decided to take on this task and try to beat the clock in this wildly exhilarating activity. We had a blast. We chose Taken because it was supposed to be user friendly for first timers. Well, not so sure about that. Our moderator, Chad, gave us tips at the beginning before starting and helped us along the way. We didn't succeed but we sure had a lot of laughs along the way. It was just fun to use the clues to open locks and succeed one at a time. In hind sight, we should have broken our group up and worked on small tasks as Chad suggested, but I guess we travel as a pack. I brought a group of Boy Scouts who had a great time. The puzzles were engaging, the theme was well executed and the staff seemed to really enjoy their jobs and helped us enjoy the event. Most notably, the staff could provide clues via a monitor and did a great job of keeping the Scouts from getting stuck while not handing them answers. I get the impression that they will adjust their input to make sure everone is challenged, but doesn't spend too much time spinning their wheels. We did the "Taken" scenario and plan to go back for the other ones soon. read more

Confusing and Uninspiring. My recent visit to Xscape left me puzzled for all the wrong reasons. While the puzzles weren't necessarily poorly designed, their lack of clarity and coherence made the entire experience confusing. It seemed like the creators aimed for complexity without considering the players' ability to follow the logic. The puzzles lacked the inspiration that makes escape rooms enjoyable, resulting in a frustrating rather than a fun-filled adventure. My daughter and her 6 friends played the Taken room as part of her birthday celebrations. It was crazy, hectic, and a whirlwind of activity as they went from puzzle to puzzle searching for the solution to unlock the final door. They made it out with about 12 minutes remaining and had a great time. That was my daughter's first time playing an escape room and she is already talking about returning to try the other rooms. The gentleman running the game was courteous and personable. A great experience and one of the evening's highlights. read more

My wife convinced me that the XSCAPE room would be a fun and different night out for our anniversary. She was correct. We had a wonderful time. We were paired up with another group of four people and hit it off so well we went for drinks afterwards. The puzzle was challenging but not too difficult. You get an hour to solve it and it took our group forty. I am definitely looking forward to doing this again. It will be great to do with friends. read more

This was an awesome experience! You definitely have to think outside the box. I did all 3 in one weekend because me and my friends were hooked after playing one activity. It was full of ah ha moments. The music in the room made it even more intense when searching for clues. The staff was amazing and very accommodating for my group that was there for a short visit. My family had a great time. We did "Taken" and it was very challenging. We were matched up with another group of people we didn't know and we all managed to all work together to escape the room in time. We would definitely return to try another challenge. The people who worked there were really nice and were great at explaining what to do. We would recommend this as a fun activity to do in Morgantown. read more

Everyone was super friendly and helpful given it was my groups first time doing an escape room! The theme was well laid out and thought out and they even had a short video to get you in the mood for the atmosphere you were about to enter. One group member felt they wouldn't be good at the escape room and felt they weren't intelligent enough but there is literally a puzzle anyone is able to solve! read more

We were in town looking for something fun to do and found the Xscape Room!! There were 6 of us from ages 7 to 40+.. everyone had a blast and everyone had a part in helping to solve clues, it was most definitely a team/family effort, even the littlest one! We didn't "xscape" the room in time, but that's ok, looking forward to going back and trying another room!! Definitely would recommend!! read more

What a truly awesome experience! The facility was clean, the owner was super friendly and helpful, and our little group of four had an amazing time working through the puzzles. With so many escape rooms emerging, I thought it was finally time to try one. We had an awesome time. The staff was great at nudging us in the right direction without revealing too much. The puzzles weren't difficult, but with 3 people it took us almost the entire hour to escape. It's a great bonding tool! This place was so fun! It was a little tricky to find (we went to the wrong one, lol) but after that it was incredible. The waiting area was cozy and inviting. The staff was also very nice. We went back and watched the rules, then started our game! You can definitely tell there was a lot of effort put into creating the game. Me and my family came and did one of their escape rooms on Saturday and it was the most fun we have had in a while. Game was intense and challenging. We will defininately be back to do another one. I have played both Taken and The Estate and look forward to trying the other room. The puzzles are challenging enough to make it interesting but not too challenging that it is impossible to escape. It is a fun way to spend some time with friends and family or even meet some new people. read more

Atmosphere is great! We played "Taken" and really enjoyed it. The only reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 is because I paid for all 8 players and they don't offer any discounts at all. So, it can be a little expensive. But - we will probably try another one sometime!! :-) read more
