    Veggie Man -- so sexy

This is a magical and enchanting place for dreamers and witch hunters alike. The staff is genuinely happy to be there and it SHOWS! Each hole is full of horror, majesty, and wonder. I learned so much and my gift shop purchases single handedly kept this place in business. i WILL be back.

This place is amazing. The graphics and design are incredible. Staff is friendly, place is clean, games is just hard enough to make it fun, loved the story at each hole, and the gift shop is wonderful. We had so much fun, just wish we could have stayed longer. We will definitely be back.

This place was so cool! The cryptid glow-in-the-dark mini golf was such a fun time. Super unique and creative! The staff were honestly the friendliest and most polite ever, which made the whole experience even better. Highly recommend if you're looking for something different and fun to do!

Mothman is waiting for you! (Don't worry, this mini golf course is NOT scary.)

Here comes another well-deserved five-star review for the Cryptid Team! My vacationing family of four just visited for the first time. The host was super friendly and kind. It's great that they offer discounts for educators and college students. The mini golf course was brisk and fun! We all loved the lore card, and the statues and lighting and backgrounds really enhanced our experience. Cool gift shop merchandise and great customer service, too! Bravo!

A super fun activity for all ages! My mom and I enjoyed seeing all the cryptic characters and dancing leprechauns (it was St. Patrick's weekend) while playing the course! Each hole has a unique theme - a character or story - some that I recognized from WV folklore. All the walls are painted top to bottom with realistic "scary" scenes were fun backdrops that fit with the theme. While dark, there were plenty of neon lights around each hole and obstacle. While this is probably for safety, it is very cool and just seems like part of the overall theme. After the last hole there was a wall filled with copies of news articles (at least one from the 1960s) and pictures that told more about the stories that inspired each hole - so fun to read and see! The staff was friendly and helpful....We will be back soon!

it was awesome! I was looking for something different to do on my birthday and ended up stumbling upon this place. It totally exceeded my expectations. If you're from WV or just Appalachia in general, you'll love it here for all of its cryptid sculptures and decor. There is also an amazing gift shop with neat things! I got handmade bigfoot earrings! go here if you want to have a lil' fun!

    Sheep squatch (my personal fav)

Super nice workers there and very informative! I will definitely recommend more people and come back! They also have an adorable gift shop with a map of all the spottings! My boyfriend and I loved it! ( if you wear neon things you will glow! )

The aesthetics are awesome, great for a girls night out when you want to be cute and take photos to post on social media(right now they have a pop up cherry blossom set up in the chalet course go soon like this week) and also great for date night memories. The greatness was our server Justin. We see management in his future and we all were speaking into existence for him. He was gracious informative and accommodating. Did not steer us wrong on the food made our drinks special for us now I can't promise the same for you (he might have felt like he was taking care of his aunties) but I still think at all times his service is top notch. 20/10 for the service 10/10 aesthetics and atmosphere

NOTES: -Call ahead if you're really set on a specific course or experience. During our visit, they closed off the entire first floor (and Lodge course) for a private event. However, as noted below, getting a human on the phone can be difficult. There's "Puttshack", a very similar concept, a block away if you really get blocked. -The electronic scorecard only allows you four players. (Unsure what another reviewer said about gigantic groups. It, literally, is only programmed to allow four players. It's very possible that parents were just letting kids playing alongside with zero "scorecard" as it'd be easy to do that.) -The Lodge course is on the first floor, and the Garage and Library are on the second floor. There's an elevator between the two, but I'd caution people with limited mobility that there are narrow walkways within most of the courses themselves. Restaurant/hallways are wide enough for wheelchairs if someone wanted to accompany though. -When we came, the Library was decorated for a Valentine's Day pop-up. You could play the Valentine's Day pop-up just the same as regular Unlimited, making their "upcharged, single Valentine's Course" event really expensive with no gain for you. I'd have been annoyed if I'd paid that for the promised "romance and lots of Instagram worthy spots", but it was a cute addition to the standard Unlimited Normal price we paid. -If you want to memorialize your scores, take a photo of the digital scorecard right after you put in the final score. Like, be READY as soon as you put in that number. It disappears into the ether as soon as that final score is put in. I'd love to see it wait for a confirmation/30 second delay to allow people to get pictures before the final scores disappear. PROS: -No idea why they make each Puttery so gorgeous, but they are. The interiors are very shiny and thought-out, and if you're not pressured mid-courses, it's really fun to look at the details they've put into the course decor. (From iconic photos of Pittsburgh to historical posters of golf or fun-looking books). Even the seating is comfy and pretty, and I'd come here just to sit and have drinks, a la cocktail bar, if I was in the area. -A good variety of drinks with mostly housemade ingredients. Sweet or spirit-forward, they have both (and beers and wines). They're $15-ish a pop per cocktail, but as it's hard to take a break mid-course, you'll probably only end up doing a few if you do all three courses. -I love the drink ledges at each hole. This makes things so much easier to play. Make it to your course's hole, put down your drink, take your shots, and pick up and get ready to move on. -Each course is REALLY well-themed. Our car-loving friend fell in love with the Garage, and I loved the calm and astronomical vibes of the Library. The Lodge was cute, too, and it felt really applicable for winter. -Really, it's just an amazing experience. I have complaints, but I haven't really found a competitor doing things much better than the Puttery does it. We love coming to Puttery locations. CONS: -I went to a Puttery in Minneapolis, and they had a great happy hour. Before I popped into Pennsylvania, I wanted to see if I could plan to hit up their own happy hour. I tried for (literal) days at different times of day, calling the number to see if I could get a person on the line. I'm not sure what was going on, but it took calling on four different days to eventually get a person to tell me they don't have a happy hour here. I'm really frustrated by companies continually crapping out on their ability to contact a business ahead of time. -Someone needs to rethink the drink ledges in the Garage section. The "ledges" are as tall as their highball cups, making it very, very hard to retrieve a cup from the ledge without touching straws and the drinking areas of the cups. Considering how dirty your hands get from constantly touching new surfaces in here, this was really gross. The drink ledges in the Lodge and Library did not have this issue. -Unlike my experience in Minneapolis, every course had an attendant near it. However, the attendants were playing on their phones while many of the ledges had abandoned/empty cups sitting on them. Zero complaints about playing on your phone, but make sure the area you're monitoring is clean first. -I had this same complaint at my last Puttery, but I LOVE the electronic scorekeeping. Every hole, you take your turns and you put your score into a tablet attached to the start of the course. It then, digitally, moves your scorecard onto the next course. It's SO convenient. It also means that you can't "swap" groups mid course. If there's a single kid zooming through on Unlimited plays, he'll be constantly stuck behind you, waiting on you to finish, as the scorecards don't allow you to "swap" with a group ahead or behind you.

We ended up coming here in hopes of being able to fill the day with activities that varied. However, with it being close to the end of the season we didn't have much variation. Caddie Shack is well known in the area. When I lived in Pittsburgh it was always advertised as a weekend getaway area that would keep you busy. Go carts, mini golf, bumper boats, arcade and small carnival rides. An entertainment oasis during the warmer months near the turnpike, hotel resorts, and camping areas. Showing up this late in the season we knew that we weren't going to get all that much entertainment, but we were fine with that. All they had going were the go carts and mini golf. Even though they weren't completely done with the season. When we pulled into the parking lot it didn't look like it was all that busy. But looks can be deceiving. We first walked towards what is considered the admission area. Basically the arcade, we were met with signs that the building was not open and to head up to the concession stand/mini golf area to buy credits or admission. We utilized the restrooms before heading that way. The weekend we were here we were informed that they had a special going on that was unlimited mini golf. Good deal. We were given a wristband to convey that, allowed to pick our clubs and ball and then select one of the two courses to play on. Before we left we were told that after we finished our games the kids would get a treat bag, being close to Halloween. There are two course here for mini golf. The Highlander and Olde. We were directed to go the way of The Highlander first as it was supposed to have less people. We were directed wrong, but weren't made aware of it as we were already part way through the course. This is where things started to take a turn into 'not-so-fun' area. We hadn't even gotten to the first hole and we had other guests on our tail. We didn't even get to tee up and they were right behind us, making it not all that enjoyable. What complicated this more was that the people in front of us were playing the holes in such a way that it took more time to complete the holes. They each took a turn to completely get the ball in the hole and then when the last person was finished would they finally move onto the next hole. But that's not even the worst part about going this route. We were playing through until there was a bottleneck at one hole. There were three or four groups in front of us and that equated to nothing short of a traffic jam. At least we got to check out our surroundings. What wasn't great was that the residential neighbor was cutting his grass causing dust to fly all over the place. Mind you, when we got here, it appeared that the fire department was just on that property. What is enticing about The Highlander is that it goes through areas where you are supposed to be immersed in the surrounding. Going through a cave, playing past a waterfall, and water flowing throughout the course. The water didn't come on until well after we had finished the course. Mind you, we finished at a snail's pace with the jam of parties. Some of the parties in front of us just upped and left the course because of how slow it was going. Once we finished that course, we did the Olde course and continued playing. The Olde course is the smaller of the two, and a more traditional mini golf course. While we were playing this course they turned on the water. We thought, ok, cool, that is until the smell of rotting leaves and stagnate water hits you. Not to mention if you hit your ball off course into the water and can't retrieve it, you just don't get to play anymore. It was a mess. What makes it even more of a mess is that the two courses need some major maintenance. The bricks used to be the rim around the holes were not completely in place and might even be off completely, aiding in losing your ball. Some holes the green needed mending or complete replacement. Some of the tees, if a whole even had one, were not secure. It was a mess, as I said before. Usually, you buy credits to do things here. According to their website both courses are nine credits. One credit equates to $1. So $9 a course. If we hadn't gotten the deal of unlimited mini golf, I doubt we would have done both courses at $18 per person. Is it worth coming here? I can't say one way or another. Maybe during the height of the season it is livelier here, but it really isn't worth it to do a weekend activity.

You can really feel the friendly atmosphere from the moment you arrive. The golf course itself is beautiful, well-kept, and full of unique character. There is so much cool paraphernalia and fun trinkets all throughout the property that make it interesting even between holes. Every hole was set up so neatly, with creative layouts, multiple drops, and thoughtful details that kept it fun the entire way through. I especially loved that they had an easier course for younger kids, which made it perfect for our children, and we also noticed the moving/more challenging course, which looked like something my husband and I would love to come back and try on our own.
