My husband played, and enjoyed the course very much. It's a bit confusing to get around, but the staff was helpful in showing us around. The course was going some renovations and was a little rough while we were there. The views are spectacular, and it was really cool to see all of the history (old ski lift) that was here from many years ago. I would recommend if you're staying in the Laurel Highlands!

However this is a hilly course and I bet the carts take a beating. Between the rough skinny paths and condition of the carts there might be some safety issues there. Price was fairly reasonable. I will say that it is LOUD on the course and when the garage doors are open as the main road is full of 18-wheelers and coal trucks steamrolling through at 50+ MPH.

It's a very open course - not a lot of rough, and not too many hazards. It's an excellent place for beginners to learn the game. I always had fun playing at Oakbrook. The cost to play is about half of what I paid at other courses, and I've enjoyed Oakbrook more than the others. The driving range is also inexpensive - about 75% what you'd pay elsewhere. It's a slight drive from Johnstown, but it's definitely worth it.

Turned out to be exactly what I needed and hoped it would be. I'm still very much learning this game. My father inlaw got me a fitting for a new driver for Christmas from 84 golf center. I finally scheduled an appointment with them just this past week. I met them today and Chris greeted me on arrival. Both Chris and Joe spent the next hour or so analyzing my swing with crazy computers and raw teaching skill. They worked hard to correct my swing before even letting me pick a club. Then probably spent another 20 minutes or so getting the shaft right. I never felt like I was wasting there time... Chris truly seemed vested in my getting it right. Didn't know how great it can feel swinging correctly with the right driver and have the ball go where it's supposed to. Almost 2 hours later I walked away with a mental checklist (which I wrote down) to help my swing and a driver that is setup for me. I highly recommend visiting these experts. I'll be going back for lessons and any time I need a new club. Thanks guys
