Showed up when he said he would. When I explained the problem with the broken deadbolt and repeated the information that had been given to me by a "Lock Service technician" and from the kind but uninformed staff at Menard's, showed him the new deadbolt I had purchased, he explained to me how it would work and then asked me if I wanted to do it myself. At this point, he had gone out of his way to make a house call. I asked that he do the install as he was already at my home and I did not want him to leave without compensation. He made it look easy and in less than 5 minutes, had completed the installation. He then went on to fix the plate for the door handle lock which had not been functional since, forever and charged me a minimal amount. His professionalism and his service were impeccable. Restored some of my faith in the goodness of others. He then went on to assess why the previous lock failed and it was due to the old hinges on a heavy door. My day was off to a really bad start. Locked my keys in my car. My spare key was in my purse; which was locked in my car. I emailed my boss to let him know I would be late (couldn't call because my phone was in my purse, in my locked car;) then I called Lang's. Jim said he was on his way, ETA 10 minutes. Have to say Lang's helped me in a severe pinch! Left for vacation to Florida. Stupidly, I locked my keys in my Nissan Versa, in the rain, outside Fresh Market. After calling several locksmiths who could not come for some reason or another, Lang's told me they could be there in about an hour. I got a heads-up call 15 minutes out, and they were at my car within the hour as promised. Very professional service, none of these "fly-by-night" contractors who don't know what they're doing - my window leaks because of one two years ago. And also very reasonable - $100 for the service. My car was unlocked in about 10 minutes, the poor guy having to do it in the rain. I would recommend them and use them again (but hopefully I won't have to!). read more
