    While the staff is polite, and the technician was clearly very skilled and had the job done in less…read morethan 15 minutes, the organization of the company is absolutely awful. We were having the locks replaced on my late grandmother's house. Red flag #1: I called them to have a technician come out, they said they'd call their technician who was out on a call and get back to me in 10 minutes. I waited about 30, never got a call back, so I called again and had to explain the whole situation again. This time the tech called me back himself within 20 minutes. Red flag #2: the technician was almost an hour late. He told me he'd be there within a certain window, and though he kept frequent contact, he was quite late. However, the service he provided was quick and efficient, and he explained what all the charges were, so I was willing to overlook this. Red flag #3: The technician took my card information and told me he was going to submit it to the office to run the transaction. Then the office called me and ran my card info over the phone. Much to my dismay, the technician didn't realize that when he took my card info and input it into the work system, it charged my card. He had put a note into the system to have the office call me and run it, so I was charged twice. Red flag #4: when I realized I had been charged twice, it was almost 11pm the night we had the locksmith come out. The company is 24 hours so I called then and there, and the receptionist took all of my information and told me she'd have a manager call me in the morning. She was very applogetic about the whole thing. However the next morning I did not receive a phone call, so I called them back. I was told the manager wasn't in but that they were aware of my issue and that it would be taken care off THAT DAY (which is now the day after we utilized their services). I was told the refund would appear on my account within three to five business days. Red flag #5: On the sixth business day with no refund in sight, I called my bank and they told me no refund had been issued or was processing. I called the locksmith for the third time, rehashed what had happened for the third time, and was told that the receptionist needed to speak to her supervisor and would call me back in 5 minutes. She never called back. I am now done dealing with the locksmith whatsoever and will be contesting the charge with my bank. Again, I am not unhappy with the service provided, and the staff has never once been rude to me while discussing the situation. It's just been handled so poorly and unprofessionally and I'm so frustrated because the double charge has basically locked up my card that I rely on because it was not a small amount to begin with, let alone to be charged that amount twice. If you use this company for your locksmithing needs, I highly recommend using cold hard cash instead, as they do not accept any cheques, personal or otherwise. Thank you for a job well done, Dayton Locksmith, but we will not be using your services again because of poor management.
