I'm a golf enthusiast. Play at least 2X / week. I'm a golf ball tester for an on-line golf forum. I wanted to get data on several brands of golf balls. So I booked a session here. It was my first ever visit. It's easy to book a session via the website. Pre-pay and heaven code is sent to open the locked doors. This business is open 24/7. It is unmanned. The place is squeaky clean. It's well organized. As a newbie I did have a steep learning curve to launch the game console and the projection system. I've never played video games. After 15 minutes of button pushing the control monitor and flubber-dubbering I finally got it up and running. So #1 recommendation: offer customers the assistance of an employee who teaches a newbie how to run the simulator. If it would cost an extra $15 that would be a good value. I had a planned routine to test 5 different golf balls. I ended up having to swing 125 shots for the record and another 30 for warm-up and repeats when I flubbed a swing or when the Uneekor system did not correctly track the shot. That took 75 minutes. I only paid for an hour session. The system did not lock me out after the 60 minute session expired. My one criticism is the responsiveness of the operating system. It was S...L...O...W... Choosing a routine such as a driving range took the machine at least 2 minutes to launch. I poked the touch screen multiple times to choose a function with no beep feedback response nor the function launching. I don't know if the machine (Bay #1) was glitchy or if this is the usual quality. Once I got the system to work, the simulator did track the ball flight and display the data pretty quickly. So will I use this facility for practice or a simulated round of golf? Probably not. The allure of golf for me is being outside in the sunshine, breathing fresh air. So being in a dark room smashing golf balls into a movie screen is a completely different experience. I will return if I'm tasked again to test golf equipment that requires data gathering. read more

XP Golf is a good alternative when it's hot outside. Today it was 108 degrees so we opted to try this new spot. We booked a private room which was well appointed. It had a coffee machine, water dispenser, & two sofas. Very relaxing. The golf simulator is not a top of the line Trackman and not nearly as accurate. I've been fitted at several places like IGolf in Rancho where they have a Trackman simulator. My son and I found the simulator unit to record distance in ball yardages that are off by about 15 yards versus real life at the range or using a Trackman. The simulator is easy to use. You do need to pay attention and place your ball near the two cut out holes and the computer will "ding" to let you know it's ready. I have a Swing caddie-sc200 which I use at the range. That unit records distances much closer to the Trackman. All in all it was fun time to hang out. When it's hot or rainy out this is a good option instead is sitting at home. read more

Very disappointing experience at XP Golf. We lost almost 30 minutes of our scheduled time because the projector and screen were not working correctly when we arrived. No staff was on-site to help, and the issue wasn't resolved until we had to call XP Golf ourselves so they could turn the system on remotely. When you're paying for a timed experience, losing nearly half an hour due to technical issues is unacceptable. There was no compensation, no apology that matched the inconvenience, and it completely took away from what should have been an enjoyable outing. I wouldn't recommend XP Golf unless they seriously improve their equipment reliability and customer support read more

I'm not sure what kind of establishment runs their business off of nobody being there but that's how this place works. My boyfriend and I came here to play a round of golf and when we try to walk in the door was locked saw a sign that we were sent a text message to unlock the door we walk in and the place is completely empty, dark and music playing. I'm not sure if we walked into a golf simulator or a horror movie. Would strongly not recommend. read more

Checked this place out to beat the 100 degree Sacramento heat and to get our golf fix in. Did not disappoint!! Easy to reserve time slot. Easy to access secure facility. Very clean. Simulator was very accurate. This place seems to run on an honor system so I hope patrons continue to take care of this facility because it is a gem! And open 24 hours! Definitely will be the go to place for me and my husband during extreme weather that keeps us from the actual golf courses. Went to check out XP Golf with some of my gfs and we had a blast. Such a great venue and business model! Top Golf is always busy so I love coming here, which is just down the street. I can always find availability here so it's very convenient for me. They have 3 open spaces and 2 private bays. The space is spacious and clean. They have sanitizer wipes, coffee and wipes. You can bring your own food and drinks. They also allow you to bring guests and have parties! It's great for all ages. Can't wait to be back! read more

Stopped by to check out the hype and the hype is real. XP Golf is clean and very modern looking. The simulator they have are extremely accurate in showing my swing and lots of options to play from a full 18 to just the driving range. Played in the open bays and had a great time talking to the other patrons. Everyone was super friendly and even gave me a few pointers. Planning on coming back and rent out a private bay for a longer session with friends. Will definitely will recommend to all my friends, whether they play golf or not. read more
