When we walked in, the selection and service was pretty good, we were told "try the clubs out there's a free fitting so just come on back and we'll take care of you."I came back, asked for a fitting " was told no your clubs are just fine, right where they need to be". .. that was not the case I was not going to argue the point. We purchased 2 full sets of clubs, men's and ladies, bags and golf balls... he looked at 1 club briefly and made the determination on the whole set without checking it. My experience here was disappointing by comparison to golf shops I frequent in SoCal I spent $3500 in this one visit as I bought new full set of clubs/Pings and accessories Yet I was not offered a single perk, they would not even change the grip on putter I bought until I paid for all. Service sucks. Busy Friday, no one working at all. Waited forever for re grip. Finally had to call just to have an employee say "nothing I can do, only 3 of us" this store is falling apart. Definitely better options in the area even a sporting good store would probably do a better job or drive all the way to Hagan Oaks but even driving all the way there and paying for gas is better than standing for 45 minutes with no help. Lack of an employees is an excuse given by managers who don't wanna get off their chair and walk to the front of the store to help. An older gentleman named Dick approached me and was very kind and courteous and answering my questions. I was told that they're just dirty and there's nothing they could do for me. It's NOT dirt and very clearly something from the factory. But the lack of support here was really offensive. I try not to buy major purchases over the internet. Today I walked in with almost 2k in cash to buy a good set of irons. Heavy set dude with purple shirt and older gentlemen with white hair heavy set and a third employee walked past me five times , never once offering to help Maybe it was my conservative garb I was wearing , maybe they were pre judging my ability to buy nice clubs. Never approached once , I had to go to the cashier and ask about products. I wasn't even greeted when I entered the store. I guess these guys don't mind losing sales to the internet. As retail is dying , this company needs a lesson in how to value a customer. 3 dogs on leashes in the store today 6/7/2025 I will not be coming back. Go elsewhere if you want service and to learn about what you're buying. Might as well just order these callaway irons online. They're cheaper there also. Golf galaxy a do they carry a galaxy of items? Yes and no. No if you compare it to other golf stores outside of the sacramento area, but yes if you are comparing to the area only. Service is always friendly and helpful. As with most golf items or experiences - it's an expensive sport and so are the accessories. They have a silly rule for replacing the grips on your clubs. They can only do 3 immediately but more than that you have to drop them off and come back another day. We needed 6 done and my husband and I both came in so we figured 3 each of us to meet the rule but apparently that still didn't make the cut. However, they were slow and so they were able to make an exception. As I said, service is good, so that was nice of them to accommodate. read more

You want to hear what the most unhealthy thing ever to do is? Have someone hand you a badass driver and hop into the simulator to proceed to swing really really hard over and over. Lol. I am older, grayer, stiffer, sorer and just down right need to stretch/warm up first. BUT Larry handed me the new Ping 425 max and well...............I swung really hard. Lol Hey, 282 down the middle...........ILL TAKE IT!!! Typically when I come to this place I feel way out of my league and most of the time I'm not too thrilled with the workers here. But today my buddy had a fitting scheduled and I thought I would tag along and watch. Larry was actually great! He was very nice, patient and downright friendly while dealing with us hackers. My buddy ended up buying a full set of pings and I couldn't help myself and I did get that driver. But! I was for sure feeling it in my shoulder and my back from swinging hard 20 times. So this was the best experience I've had there and I can never say no to the simulator. But when Larry said hey let me take a look at your swing because I don't have a lot of loft using the driver I backed out and said oh no no no no no. Don't fall for their promotions because they'll twist and turn to avoid holding up their end. I lived in S. Cal and used to go to the Golf Galaxy in Encinitas, north of San Diego. The people there were terrific, they offered great deal and all my friends agreed it was the go-to place. The Roseville Store has taken that reputation and trashed it. What I just experienced the last 3 months with Golf Galaxy I wouldn't wish on anyone. I dropped off my driver to be repaired through Srixon because the head had snapped off. One month goes by and not a single update was provided for me during this time so I give them a call and am told that they do not know what is going on with the driver and will provide an update shortly after that. A couple weeks go by without any update so I decide to stop in and see what's happening. An associate brings out a paper with the ship date on the paper and the date matches the day that I had called them a month later, so I know it had just been sitting in there with no attention whatsoever. They tell me they sent it off and that Srixon is behind in their repairs, which is understandable. Another month goes by so I give them a call and now they are saying that Srixon has lost my driver completely and now they need to wait for approval to get a new one shipped. Then a couple more weeks go by and they finally get "approval" to give me a new driver that Srixon had lost. It was 3 months total I was without a driver and the communication and overall process on Golf Galaxy's end was nothing short of pathetic. You would think that I would receive some sort of compensation (glove, box of balls, etc.) for the inconvenience but I got nothing but a weak apology from one of their managers. I am pretty young and wasn't treated right at all. I was trying to buy a new set of irons and some wedges and when I tried to get fitted there was a line and the guy just skipped over my name when I was waiting for about 20 minutes. Funny thing is I was ready to buy them as well when the dude that got fitted just wasted their time. I hope they do better and treat all their customers with the same amount of respect. On the bright side the store itself is fairly large and has everything you need for golf the downside is that their markups are pretty insane. This store is terrible for false advertising. They had ENTIRE racks labeled with sale signs but refuse to honor the price at the register. This is such a scam! Instead of having all of your associates standing around with their hands in their pockets not doing anything, you should have your associates fix the clothing so that customers can purchase the correct sales items. I don't get paid to double check the barcodes according to the sales sign fine print. A little on the pricey side but they have a lot of sales frequently that offer $20, $50 or even $100 off on purchases . I went for an iron club fitting and it was a very good experience. The gentleman who did my fitting (sorry I don't remember his name) was very knowledgeable and got me into the right iron set shaft and low angle for me. Using my old irons as a baseline, I was able to clearly see the difference the new irons made. I would definitely recommend this business if you are serious about your golf game. read more

Special ordered some irons here. I was originally told that it would take 8-12 weeks for the irons to arrive due to back-log. I was okay with that since these were the irons I really wanted. Called back 8 weeks later to check on the status of the order. There apparently was a mix-up when I paid. Cashier rung it up incorrectly so the actual order never went through. Boy, I was mad. I went in and they had to refund me my money, re-pay, and then re-order. They said they would see what they could do. Got a call back a couple days later for a status update and they said they were again quoted 8 weeks! Are you kidding me? But, the caller said that they're still trying to see if that could be expedited. Almost losing hope, I was close to just cancelling the order. Heaven and earth must've been moved because all of a sudden, the clubs arrived at my home within a couple of days of the call. I was so happy! Thank you to the staff at Golf Galaxy, we called for regripping of two sets of clubs on Monday and be finished by Wed afternoon. We were told to bring them in and we will make it happen. We dropped our clubs picked out a few new grips and off we went. Beers to both John and Craig for taking care of this. We had a tournament Thursday and now we have new grips which looked great. Been to Roseville Golf Galaxy three times recently. Each time I felt like the cashier was irritated that they actually had to take care of a customer. Prior to that we used to go to the GG in Pleasant hill. Totally opposite treatment there. I had a tee time at 10:50 am and realized I forgot my golf shoes. I'm from out of town so my brother and I rushed over to Golf Galaxy to buy some new ones. The store doesn't open until 10:00 am so we were pushing it. We arrived at 9:45 am and the doors were locked. We waited outside and an employee walked out a few minutes later. I was hoping they would let me in but the guy said we had to wait until 10:00 am. I get you don't open for another 10 minutes but I feel like if you have a paying customer waiting outside why not let them in? The gentleman who greeted me once I was allowed in was very helpful. He pointed me straight to the shoes and I was in and out in 5 minutes. Made it to the course with time to spare! The ladies shoes selection is very limited. Only one aisle for women's shoes. I wish there was more of a selection to choose from. read more

My son had a questionable break in the shaft of his golf club two days after we had a repair completed on his driver. I witnessed the shaft fail but the spot of the failure is in an area one would not expect a break. I brought my concerns to West in the repair department . West quickly advised he would discuss whether anything could be done with the GM Neal Mazgaj. I understood the shaft should not have failed where it did and expected the store to advise that they could not help my son out. However, I received a prompt return phone call from Neal and was advised that the area of failure was not in an area one would expect a break. Neal then advised the club had already repaired with a new shaft and it was ready for pick up. I appreciate the tremendous customer service from West and Neal and will continue to shop at this store without hesitation. Thank you West and Neal. read more

I work for a huge organization and if someone is confused or needs help instead of making them look dumb and just stand there I would ask questions. This store has a large selection and lots of services but the hiring manager needs to do some serious work on the staff. My wife recently went into the store trying to have her new golf clubs fitted. To make a long story short she was ignored, treated rudely and left standing while the employee "helping" her wandered off several times. Things aren't quite the same at Golf Galaxy. The staff and management just don't seem to be what they used to be. The business seems to be in a state of decline due to incompetence. Do you guys really think I'm going to pay $650 for a hammered out used set of Nike Pro Combos? Do you guys think I want to be told it's going to take three days to change a set of grips? Come on Golf Galaxy! You are putting yourselves out of business because you simply don't care! I have literally spent thousands elsewhere because of that attitude! I had to convince their manager to replace my grips, like she was my drug dealer. Lol. Hey Golf Galaxy, ever heard of a sale? Liquidate that museum of obsolete Taylormades! By the way, nobody calls a sale $1 off, or $3 off. It's already a loss, sell it at cost and get it out of there, it's presence makes your inventory appear stagnant, which is costing you even more money in lost revenue. To top it all off, Golf Galaxy decided to have their Scotty Cameron putters locked in a stupid plastic case, so nobody can feel the balance on them. It's not like you guys have the Mona Lisa in there, it's just an older 2011 Cameron guys, no need to go to DEFCON 5. By the way, anyone can just take the Scotty Cameron's out, just pull it up and twist it out! Just like the plastic bands that they have affixed to everything in the putting section, it's annoying as hell. Here's a thought, If you are running a business and you are so concerned with thieves that you destroy the experience of shopping for golf equipment, then maybe you should move your store. I don't see Haggin Oaks doing this to their Scotty Camerons...and they sell a heck of a lot more merchandise than anyone else in Sacramento. I see a lot of problems here that are getting worse and worse, pretty soon I won't even be dropping by. I'll just go to Haggin Oaks because they get it. I don't want to feel like a criminal for wanting to roll a putt with a three year old Cameron. I ended up buying a 2013 Cameron at Haggin Oaks, simply because of the way these policies made me feel. You can text out clubs here in a few different large areas. The service is top notch. They help you but leave you alone enough to mosey around. Not all the staff were wearing masks. When we walked in two men were standing at the entrance one wearing a mask and one not. We asked him to wear one and he ignored us. We mentioned it to the girls behind from counter and they ignored us. We came for a exchange for a larger size but not enough selection to get a larger size. A week ago I bought a Mavrik 4 MAX hybrid ($249.99) After getting it out and hitting 3 range balls and 3 shots during the round I realized I had made a mistake. I am not accustomed to clubs with and offset. So I went back in with my receipt and bar code still attached. I agreed the club was used and expected to be dinged as the club was now "used" After some time Golf Galaxy stated that they could give me $96 for "trade in". The club has not damage, a little scrapes from the matts when I hit 3 range balls If they had offered me half price I would have gladly traded the club in and paid the difference for a new Mavrik Pro 4 hybrid. I'm not a golfer but I went in looking for a gift today. Their are so many cool looking shoes from Adidas it's sad that it's the only brand I remember sorry people. I was digging the Nike and Adidas shirts and shorts. Can we get elastic bands that they have around their pants for everyday jeans. So cool. The huge selection of Tee's who knew.
