11/21/25 AG2 installation day!…read more Background We began consulting with C&S Home Solutions Remodeling September 2025 about our goals for updating our Kitchen, laundry and Bathrooms. The kitchen was a complete remodel eliminating an arched wall extending the kitchen to increase counter and cabinets linear feet. It also incorporated a breakfast bar. Two bathrooms were being remodeled. To accomplish our design continuity we visited Arista Stone to look for slaps for our design. Once we selected our slaps C&S Home Solutions remodeling enlisted the talents of small women owned business Brenda Rodriguez of AG2 Design LLC. Brenda personally visited our home and took all the measurements the day after our cabinetry was installed. She developed the template(s) for all countertops in the rooms. Her expertise quickly shifted to maximizing the use of the slabs minimizing waste and assuring we had enough slab from the same slab lot. Installation day came five days later after the rough bulk slabs were cut and polished. The craftsmanship of the beveled edges and smooth radius corners was amazing. Brenda's team began the installation by custom building the slab to countertop beds to support the heavy countertops. As each countertop was installed the Kitchen quickly transformed from design concept to a beautiful sculptured smooth line modern contemporary kitchen. Brenda also added a slab notch cut to tastefully incorporate a stub wall leading to our laundry room. Maybe a little detail to some but this extra touch of class showcases the talents and personal touches she delivers to her customers. Brenda arrived at the time of installation to personally see everything went smoothly and that we were satisfied. I can't say enough about Brenda and her company AG2 Design! Cost 5/5 There are many big fabricators out there, most chasing large commercial cookie cutter jobs but no one can match the turnaround time, customization and value of AG2 Design. From there it was the start of very POOR Communication ...even getting a start date for the project. I had to make a couple calls to finally get a date. The crew that did the physical work did a great job cleaning up daily around our property. How our roof looks...from what we can see, it looks good. However, in the contract it states we'd get warranties (we had 2 types of roofing material in different areas) and they stated getting pictures of the finished project. That is yet to happen. Kenn, the Project Manager never calls us....I've made 5 calls to him with him stating he'd call me back and it NEVER happens. He has promised to look into us getting the warranties and said the pictures will be sent. We have neither and the project started the 25th of Feb. and completed the 10th of March. I wish I could recommend them because of the 'crew', but it's just been too frustrating, and they still have neglected to fulfill the warranties. **UPDATE - I have now received the warranties - we had 2 different roofing products for different areas of our roof along with a gracious letter thanking us for our business. (3-31-26) As I have mentioned initially, the crew did a great job with the install....any client would be pleased with the outcome. I'm still waiting for the pictures.

When I questioned the significant difference, I did not feel that I received a clear explanation to justify the pricing. Throughout the process, I was repeatedly asked what my insurance company had estimated or approved for the claim. I explained that this was an insurance-related restoration project and that my home is currently considered unlivable, which is why my insurance company is providing temporary housing. When the representative arrived, he questioned why the air conditioning was not running, despite the condition of the home and the fact that I am not currently living there. More importantly, no measurements were taken during the visit, which made it difficult for me to understand how an accurate estimate could be provided. The communication leading up to the appointment was good, but I was surprised to be asked about providing a deposit almost immediately upon arrival, especially since I had already explained the insurance situation. I was also told that I would receive an emailed quote the following day. Instead, I was later told that they would not be providing the quote and felt that my concerns were ultimately brushed off. I would have appreciated that transparency from the beginning rather than spending my time expecting an estimate that was never provided. Overall, the lack of measurements, the substantial difference in the verbal pricing compared with my other bids, the repeated questions about the insurance amount, and the failure to provide the promised written estimate made this a frustrating and disappointing experience.

When possible I like to support small independent local businesses and made the call for an estimate . Dan the owner spent a lot of time at our in home visit to review the scope , made great suggestions on 2 new pots and pan drawers and assured us we would not know they were refaced but would look like new cabinets . We chose a beautiful Maple wood with new drawers on amazing soft close silent hardware . The work crew was professional , skilled craftsmen that figured out every little corner and angle to perfection . I am amazed at the quality of work . The transformation is stunning . My adult daughter just saw the new kitchen today for the first time and was so impressed she thought it was all new boxes from the ground up ! We opted for several additional options on top of our initial estimate, but we never felt pressured to add or upgrade anything. We initially had hoped to do refacing to improve the overall aesthetic of our kitchen, but we were so excited to discover some of the additional options that were offered that solved functional problems that had always bothered us! When we reached out to Better Than New, we didn't even realize how much they could do besides just refacing. We replaced all of our old, hard-to-open drawers with beautiful, easy to open, soft-close drawers. We added a pull-out drawer for trash and recycling bins. We replaced sagging shelves in our cabinets. And we replaced the shelves in our deep pantry with drawers, making the space SO much more usable and accessible for our tall family. So not only is the kitchen beautiful, but it's so much more functional. There were zero hidden fees. The work was absolutely immaculate. The team was incredibly professional. And the work was done as scheduled and on time - the entire project only took 2.5 days!! I didn't receive estimates from other companies, so I don't know how the price would have compared.
