Xino is a speakeasy style restaurant hidden inside of Reunion Ktchn Bar. It's an intimate atmosphere offering Chinese cuisine and innovative twists on delicious cocktails. We had drinks at the bar while we waited for our reservation at Reunion Ktchn. We were immediately greeted by Rafel, the handsome, energy filled bartender. He heard it was our first time there and was excited to recommend the best drinks. The ginger margarita was an instant hit for me. It was packed with incredible flavor and garnished with little candied ginger. The smoked old fashion was absolutely delicious. I do plan on returning for the peaking duck ( which was completely sold out!) and blue crab rangoons. Reservations are recommended due to the small size of the restaurant. 5 stars! read more

We made a reservation in advance at Xino (inside of the Reunion Kitchen) in Aventura to dine on a weekend evening with family and received a warm greeting from restaurant staff and they showed us to Xino (located behind the Reunion Kitchen bar). It's a really cool "Speakeasy" set-up! Our server, Jessie was so amazing and friendly and gave us a warm welcome and explained their menu upon our arrival. We ordered the Ginger Margaritas ($16) to start and they were out of this world and truly outstanding! For appetizers, for a table of 4, you don't need more than 3 appetizers. We ordered the Golden Lumpias (spring rolls - $16), Blue Crab Rangoons ($17), and Rock Shrimp Chuan ($19). Each appetizer included 4 pieces per order, so it was perfect to split and all appetizers were larger on the portion size and truly outstanding and fresh! For entrees, we ordered: -Chow fun noodles ($27) -Xino Fried Rice with chicken ($22) -Sizzling Bok Choi ($15) -Pork Ribs ($26) -Honey Pineapple Chicken ($21) All food was truly outstanding and probably my favorite was the Honey Pineapple Chicken and Pork Ribs! What a hidden gem that I came to! I haven't been to reunion bar in 2 years and decided to come by in a Friday evening. Julia the bartender opened a door and bam we have a speakeasy that I stepped into that serves modern take on Chinese food. The place was small but love the red decor and color that made it feel welcoming and fun. I sat at the bar and had the crab Rangoon and blueberry basil cocktail. Everything was awesome. I really cannot complain about anything. My husband does not like Chinese food and loved it. The pineapple chicken was very tasty and the. Chow fun noodles with steak was really good. The food is served very hot and comes out fairly quickly. The drinks were very strong and delicious. The atmosphere is very Nice and the Service was good. First of all, the ambiance inside was fantastic! Definitely a speakeasy type of vibe and entrance. The decor was elegant as well. Fairly small space so get your reservations ahead of time. We sat at the bar and had the friendliest bartender/server who came through with great recommendations. We started with a round of drinks from the happy hour menu--sparkling wine and old fashion. We also got a mocktail--fresh ginger lemonade. This was a hit! It wasn't very sweet and had a great ginger flavor with a hint of vanilla. Very refreshing! For apps we got the toasted sesame burrata, which was served with fresh sourdough and the vegetarian lumpia. Both items were absolutely delicious! Highly recommend both! For entrees we got the smoked sambal eggplant, the chowing noodles and the pork ribs. The eggplant was phenomenal. Never knew eggplant could take that great! Do recommend getting a side of white rice as it seems like an incomplete dish without it. The pork ribs were incredible tender and flavorful! The chow fun noodles were good, but not great. The beef was a little chewy and the flavor was lacking a bit. I probably wouldn't order this one again. We were too stuffed to order dessert, but overheard a table raving about the gelato. I made a reservations however arrived earlier than expected. The hostess was nice and helpful. I was able to sit at the bar to wait for my reservation but decided to eat at the bar. The bartender was nice. I had a mocktail. I ordered the blue crab Rangoon and chicken fried rice. The blue crab Rangoon was crispy with a good amount of fresh crab meat inside. There was no cream cheese which I think would have taken it up a notch. The chicken fried rice took a while to receive which was odd. It also had a burnt taste which was unexpected. My cousin said the same about her shrimp fried rice. By the time I received my chicken fried rice I was ready to go. The restaurant is a great low key place to visit. Overall rating is a 3.5 We came to try the Miami spice menu for a new Chinese place in the neighbourhood. It's a speakeasy connected to Reunion Kitchen and it's decorated really nicely! I want to point out that the service was great and the servers were really attentive which I appreciate. We opted to do the $60 Miami spice menu and try some things off the regular menu as well. For appetisers we got the wings and blue crab Rangoons. The wings were a great portion for an app and glazed in a sweet sauce. My partner really enjoyed them but they were personally a bit too sweet for me. Still good though and would recommend! The crab rangoons were probably my favorite. They use real crab and aren't super creamy/have cream cheese which made them taste so much better than your usual rangoon. For entrees we got the umami filet mingon and pineapple chicken. The beef was very tender and well cooked and came with a lot of onions and mushrooms. The chicken came with a sweet sauce with cubed pineapple and peppers. My biggest concern was that both of these dishes were way too sweet. We had to order a side of rice to balance the flavor. I think the dishes could be more balanced in terms of flavor because it tasted good it was just off for me. read more

This is my first time going to the restaurant. My friend told me to ask for the "lounge ". I walked into a chic, intimate, red lounge. what made it even better was the service. I was greeted by the bartender/server. Raphael recommended the most delicious drinks and bites. I started with the ginger margarita and ended with the Shanghai sour. THE ABSOLUTE WORST CHINESE FOOD WE'VE EVER HAD. AVOID THIS RESTAURANT LIKE A PLAGUE. We made Christmas reservations at XINO in Aventura with my son and sister expecting the "superb" Chinese food we were told about. What we experienced was shockingly bad. Appetizers & rice: The egg rolls were drenched in grease -- if you poured more grease on them they still wouldn't be any more edible. The chicken fried rice was poorly executed: large, unappealing clumps and what looked like pieces of fried chicken tossed in rather than properly mixed -- it was unacceptable. Entrees: We ordered two high-end beef dishes (one described as beef with noodles and mushrooms). That beef-and-noodle plate had decent-flavored beef, but the portion was tiny -- more appetizer-sized than an entrée -- and the noodles and mushrooms were essentially missing despite searching the plate. The other beef dish was just fair. We also ordered grilled salmon and a couple of other dishes I can't recall; overall nothing redeemed the meal. Service & cleanliness: The waiter with the beard took our order and then disappeared. We literally could not find him. We had to flag down staff repeatedly for basic needs. Tables weren't cleared promptly, dishes were left piled up, and dropped food wasn't handled. Getting the check was nearly impossible. Summary: This was literally one of the worst Chinese meals any of us have had. Between the greasy, poorly prepared food and inattentive service, I strongly recommend avoiding this restaurant -- and especially avoid being served by the bearded waiter. read more

I love the people behind Xino and their other restaurants but Chinese food is not their expertise. They don't offer a traditional duck just a moo sho duck breast but they should make it crispy. The lumpia vegetable spring rolls are huge and the appetizer is enough for four people. For Chinese/Asian food in Aventura Toku is the better option for service, ambience, quality and variety of food and a better wine selection. Reunion ktchn by the owners of Xino remains a great option for great fusion cuisine. read more

Im a Reunion fan so I was excited about this restaurant. Drinks were like always fantastic. That was about it. Started with the egg rolls and they were super oily and literally frozen in the inside. Sent them back. Ordered the rock shrimp that were tasty but loaded in sauces. They were served on top of chunk of zucchini. Not delicate at all. We the ordered the ribs. Again, tasty but full of sauce and most overcooked and later the chow fun noodle. You guessed it, loaded in a soup of sauce. The space is nice and if the food were special it could be fantastic. They need a real Asian menu to make this work. With Sauces, sometime "less is more". read more

We are at Xino this gorgeous new speakeasy in Aventura. The vibe is unmatched. They have exceeded expectations with their decorations but where they stole my heart was their food and drinks. We kicked off with their forbidden garden which is a gorgeous mint, cucumber and elderflower drink, the Ginger Margarita is the only healthy ginger shot I want in my life. For apps we chose the crispy blue Rangoon with actual real crab and that sauce is a dream. We also got the Gan ju mahi ceviche which the citrus refreshing app we needed to refresh our palate and the perfect way to get started in our journey. For dinner we got their umami glacéd filet filet mignon the veggies are gorgeously stir fryed that glaze and meat was so tender. But those RIBS. Those ribs... just order them. First of all the presentation is incredible. The amount of ribs you get assured you won't leave hungry. We ended with their French tarts and pistachio gelato the perfect ending to a perfect meal. This restaurant should be delisted from open table as it no longer exists. They take reservations. They answer the phone with a fancy AI system that says the name. But when you get there, there's no there there. You call, and the AI system answers Xino, but there's not a a live person. Finally, we walked in to someplace called reunion kitchen, they say itsthe same place but give no further explanation. I told them to fuck off and because we drove from Lauderdale so we went further south to Cacio e Pepe, vowing never to come to Aventura again. This place has some nerve. They had the time to make a sign and we ran the whole restaurant but don't take the trouble to change their listing on OpenTable or on the Internet or even there freaking phone number. Do not ever go to them. Verify that the next establishment in this physical premises is not just a reworking of the same owners Before spending a penny there these people couldn't bring me back in a helicopter with free meals for a year. read more

Visited this hidden gem on a Friday since they're included in the " Miami Spice " options :) The magic starts after entering the Speakeasy behind the " Reunion" restaurant . The red decor was very authentic Chinese . Ginger Margarita hit the spot ! Tried the ceviche, shrimp tempura , Ribs and Glazed Filet Mignon. It was all excellent ! Our favorite were the ribs which are served in a very cool Smokey dish ( my daughter was in heaven ). The deserts did not disappoint pistachio Gelato and Mini French tarts :) Will return very Soon .
