You'll definitely miss the entrance to this speakeasy. They have a code, but be sure to ask someone that works there for it. The ambiance is Intimate and dark. It is very ascetically pleasing with its old school haunted mansion theme. Lauren, the bartender was such a sweet soul! She talked to us and made a yummy Manhattan for me! There isn't any food upstairs. You can get that downstairs.

Intimate and Sultry vibes. Perfect to start or end the night - especially for a date. Unit B speakeasy sits above Brass Tap (access through brass tap). On my visit, the door was inconspicuous but not locked nor needed a code, just go up the stairs. We ordered cocktails to start off the night around 9:15pm. It was not very busy. They provide some sofa sets, a couple of small tables and bar seatings. I'd recommend the "White Linen" cocktail, very refreshing.

A kind if Speakeasy place in Fort Lauderdale with a very lounge-y atmosphere, darkish, relaxing and good chilling music. I am saying "a kind of" because to be a speakeasy it's very easy to find, pretty much everybody knows where it is and often no code is needed, because they open the door for you. Cocktails are pretty good, well done, around $ 15, which is not outrageous in South Florida and actually is the kind of price you can find in any bar. They have sofas, small tables, it's the kind of place you go when you need to relax and don't look for big and loud crowd. I'll stop again if in the area, it's a nice place, different than your regular overcrowded bar and sometimes that's what one needs.

Unit B is a hidden gem in Ft. Lauderdale . Located on the second floor on top of Brass Tap . Nice sultry vibe , I would recommend this place for a classy low key night out . Great for a date night get away, wasn't crowded on a Friday night . No reservation required . Great variation of cocktails . I enjoyed a lovely Sprotini (aka Expresso Martini) . Excellent cocktail list. Overall great intimate experience . I would definitely come again !

I loved this place! I have always liked the "speakeasy ambiences" so when my husband find out about this one, he took me there as surprise - and... made me find it by giving me very few clues! Of course, being a speakeasy, the place is hidden: to access it you have to go into another bar, find the stairs that lead to the speakeasy, and have the right password to open the door. The entire search was fun! We came here late on a Sunday, and there were only two tables free. Both the stairs (covered in red carpet) and the small room were very dark, but this particular was just a nice/proper addition to the ambiance. The place is nicely decorated and also thanks to their lounge music in the background, it feels very warm, cozy and it's very relaxing. Their bartender was very friendly and he can surely make great strong cocktails! I would say their prices are pretty much average for South Florida. I look forward to be back!

Always fantastic service and great atmosphere,...and free parking! I will always recommend getting the seasonal cocktails.

They are adding events to the line up ... there is a whiskey Wednesday and vinyl night Thursday with a burlesque show on the last Saturday of the month. Really great space to grab a drink and enjoy some conversation

Unit B is our "treat yourself" bar we go to when we want to have a fun night out with good drinks in a cool atmosphere. Everyone loves a speakeasy! To find this place, enter Brass Tap from the patio, and you'll find the secret unlabeled door (picture included) which leads to a staircase up to the bar. There's a keypad to the left where you have to enter the passcode to open the door. The passcode changes regularly, and you can always find it on their website. The place is chill and dark with a cool atmosphere and great drinks and a great variety behind the bar. We love coming here. Cons: it's tiny and has been growing in popularity, so finding a place to sit is borderline impossible. Also (at the risk of me sounding old), the music is too loud to have a conversation at all, which is weird for a place where the setup is more for conversation (it's not a dancing type place). Finally, they used to have a seasonal menu that rotated frequently, but when we went last night (it's March), it was still the fall menu. Maybe they're just not changing it anymore? Overall, great place. None of these cons are a huge deal at all, and I would HIGHLY recommend checking it out. We'll definitely be back.

Love the prohibition era vibes in here! If you are a whiskey/scotch drinker this is definitely the spot for you! The bartenders are top tier and really know how to craft a cocktail! There is no food served so be sure to eat before hand!

A solid speakeasy in Ft. Lauderdale. I'm a little spoiled with NYC and DC-area speakeasies, so this was a little underwhelming (no password/fun way to enter, etc.), but still a solid cocktail bar. Lots of sections of intimate seating areas, but we elected to sit at the bar because that was the only way to get service. The bartender apologized for the wait - they were wicked busy for a weeknight and had a call-out - but I get it (service industry life). Martinis were well made and balanced.

Uhmmm I guess since there's barely speakeasy place in Fort Lauderdale, leading to bartender being snobbish. Not cleaning dirty bar tables, not looking at guests when they ask questions. Hello, wake up, speakeasy is everywhere in the world. Drinks are not bad. Thursday evening around 1030pm was nearly empty. Headed to Sparrow after which have much better energy and drinks.

OVERALL: The vibes are immaculate. So cool and you really feel like you stumbled upon a secret. ATMOSPHERE: Of COURSE I have to start with the atmosphere. I am such a fan of speakeasies and just the general concept of them. I am continually looking to be 'wow'd. You enter through a bar and there you'll find a door with a key pad where you need to enter a code to unlock said door. This code can be found on their website! You ascend upstairs through a tall staircase that is lit in red lights so it really sets the mood. There's a photograph and the top of the staircase that really puts you in the speakeasy mood. The whole place, I continually described as intimate and personable. The seats were comfy and it didn't have a ton of seating, but it didn't need it! It really felt like a well-known secret with the amount of people in there. SERVICE: Wow. Wow. Wow. I was blown away on how kind the service was. I asked for a dealers choice and was given a drink TAILORED to my taste buds. We refined on the second drink until it was nailed. So impressed. DRINKS: The old fashion was a classic and even better because they smoke it! My dealers choice drinks were so good and like I said, tailored to my taste buds (I like it sweet!) PRICE: As with most atmosphere forward places, the prices are a bit high. For the high end old fashion, it was $20. The rest were $15.

Super chic and super unexpected! Located above the Brass Tap right off of US1/Federal Hwy in Flagler Village Unit B offers a dark, mysterious vibe with expertly, and I mean EXPERT level, crafted cocktails. A true speakeasy. Head to their website to get the code for their door. Enter your info and a personal code will be given to you. Once you enter brass tap you will have to find the door to enter and head upstairs. Drinks are expensive. Approximately $15+ each for one of their crafted cocktails. We enjoyed watching the bartenders make our cocktails. They were strong and delicious. They are only open Thursday - Saturday from 6pm to 2am. Also open Wednesday from 8pm - 2am. They do offer a cheese / olive board but no formal dining here. I would definitely recommend for the perfect place to kick off or end your evening. PArking is horrific in this area. Park in the garage at the manor but only for 4 hours max. You can park on the street if you're lucky to find a spot but that is 3 hours max. For long term parking, park across the street in the garage over Spatch/Good Spirits or just take an Uber or scooter. Cheers!

    Are they still open?

    No, they are closed

    Is it smoke-free?

It seemed to be when I visited. Definitely NO hint of a smokey smell at all whatsoever!

Happy hour or lady's night available?

Honestly, none that I saw posted or was made aware of. Drinks are about $15 each. Maybe there is a secret discount code lol

What's the pricing like here? Looking for a cool spot to go with a few couples to drink and hang out:)

the price for drinks is on the high side, however the quality of drinks are extremely well. certainly a nice place to drink and hang out with friends, however the place is small so if you get there late there might be a challenge to get a table.

    Do they have food?

They have a cheese platter but no food. But there's a restaurant downstairs if you really need to eat.

I was completely sober because I don't drink, so I was fully aware of everything happening around us. The treatment we received was extremely unprofessional. At approximately 1:57 AM, we witnessed the bartender kissing a girl over the bar, and around 2:11 AM, they were still being very physical and all over each other while working. We also witnessed that same bartender taking sips from drinks using the straw method, which was concerning to see while drinks were being prepared and served. We were also told that every single person at the table had to order a drink or we would have to leave, even though the other five people in my party had already ordered. I don't drink alcohol, but I felt pressured into ordering something anyway because I didn't want to ruin my birthday celebration or my friends' experience. What made the situation even more disrespectful was when we simply asked for cups of ice water, and the bartender made a sly comment saying, "you guys are drunk." Asking for water should never result in a sarcastic or judgmental comment from a bartender. I especially found it inappropriate considering I was completely sober. The waiter's attitude was also rude and unwelcoming. For a place that automatically adds 22% gratuity, I would expect professional and respectful service. Instead, we felt pressured to spend money while receiving poor service and unnecessary comments from the staff. This was supposed to be a fun birthday celebration, but the way we were treated left a terrible impression. There are plenty of other speakeasies where customers can spend their money and actually feel welcomed and respected. After this experience, I would rather take my business somewhere else.

Our waitress was pleasant, attentive, and made us feel right at home, which always enhances the dining experience. Although we weren't extremely hungry, the menu had so many appealing options that we decided to sample a few items. We started with the Caribbean Tea shots, which were unique, refreshing, and surprisingly enjoyable. For drinks, we ordered a Malbec and a Peanut Butter Old Fashioned. Our first entrée was the Churrasco Frites, featuring marinated skirt steak topped with chimichurri and served with twister fries. The steak was cooked perfectly, tender and flavorful, but those fries were the true star of the dish. Still wanting more, we ordered the Garlic Parmesan Twice Cooked Wings. They were nicely prepared and satisfying, though I would have enjoyed a stronger garlic flavor. Not quite finished, we moved on to the Oaxaca Burger, an 8 ounce burger stacked with onion rings, bacon jam, house BBQ sauce, and Oaxaca cheese. This was one of the best burgers I've ever had, and possibly the best. The bun was toasted yet soft, the burger was seasoned perfectly, and it was cooked to a juicy medium temperature. Every bite was packed with flavor. Overall, everything we ordered was excellent, and the service and atmosphere made the experience even better.
