Sales guy was arrogant and dismissive when I asked questions about internet and mobile phone packages. He was borderline insulting when I mentioned online offerings as well as a package my friend had just received from Comcast. He told me these offers never existed. It seems like their customer service had improved for a while after decades of being the worst. That recovery appears to have lapsed based this experience and the frustration of trying to get a hold of someone via the phone when there is a service issue. Time to shop around for a different service. read more

I went into the Xfinity store in Ypsilanti, MI to upgrade our phones and walked out with watches and an Ipad BECAUSE we were told we could get all these discounts and pay less in our bill. That was complete lies. I have been fighting with Xfinity since August 25 for them to honor the line discounts that I was told I would have. They will DO NOTHING to rectify this. I signed up for Xfinity internet. The salespeople were friendly and helpful. As I was leaving, two different individuals were returning their modem/wifi devices. I thought that this was not a good sign. I tried to set up the modem/wifi myself, but was not able to after several tries, and with assistance from Xfinity over the phone. I called to schedule service to connect my modem, but the technician never showed up or called. I decided that this was not acceptable and canceled my service. The salesperson, who was friendly and polite, canceled my service at the Xfinity store. Despite never using my internet and canceling after 10 days, I was charged $21.78. Bottom line: Don't switch to Xfinity if you are expecting to get your home internet service set up quickly. read more

I have had issues for months. I had to pay for resident visit. What was sent was someone who did not have a clue, but still charged me. Incessant interruptions. Intermittent interruptions. A temporarily moved out for two weeks in October.. ever since then the app wouldn't work for my payment or the emails that I sent payment through would not go to the direct line every time I've went into the store which was many they were rude disrespectful, except for one TaNia! The female that I dealt with was RUDE, cutting off my conversation of explanation that I was from out of state trying to help my sister in bed from surgery. She could have cared less! Lost my return, dealing with this store and getting the issue resolved was a nightmare.

If you have to deal with Comcast/Xfinity the in person stores are the best way. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Note they don't handle mobile phone service billing but can do orders. No opposite this is the experience any time I am forced to call their toll free help center. The folks there are lucky to fix your issue at all. Honestly this depends on the person you get, but I would give a 50/50 solution rate. And at that only after a long menu of automated prompts that don't fit your issue. So you may have to call back to speak to somebody knowledgeable from the start again. So...go to the brick and mortar stores if you are lucky to have one in your area. read more

Not sure why this Comcast store has such low reviews. My parents and I came here today so that they could get an X1 box, they've had the old Comcast system for a really long time and I'm staying with them this week so I was able to help them install the new X1. I had been to this location before but for a blogger event, so this was my first time going there as a customer, or at least the daughter of a customer. They quoted us 45 minutes but it was really more about 20 to 25 minutes. I used the restroom while we were there as well and it was clean and actually smelled pretty good too, I think they had some sort of freshener there. I was able to easily install the X1 system once we got back to their house, as well. read more

The most time consuming and confusing customer service I have ever experienced. I called to get a promotional rate and get rid of my rental box. They hustled me all day while I tried to get my new box hooked up. worked 10 times harder to sell and increase our bill than they did to help a long time customer. This is why we never contact them. There's a welcome desk that takes your name and the clerks come for you. There's plenty of seats to sit, watch tv as well as a game station for children to play at. There's even IPad stations for grown ups while you wait. The best part is no long lives and you're sitting waiting for your name to be called. Once you're name is called the service agent comes to get you and take you to their station. From the time I walked in to return two Comcast boxes for the new ones, my wait time and service time was no more than 12-15 minutes altogether. This is probably the number one Comcast center in my area. I'm hooked, and as long as I have Comcast, I will be returning here. read more

Have been waiting since July to get internet to our area and after months of the 2 weeks away BS I am fed up and will go with T-Mobile home internet. Okay, this review is not about Comcast overall (one star for the 8th circle of hell that is their online and phone based "customer service") but for this specific XFINITY location. We upgraded our cable and internet packages (more stuff for less $$....for now) a couple of weeks ago and every experience since has been excruciating. I'm talking several phone calls with people who told us conflicting information, the wrong equipment sent to us twice, corrected orders that (when we double checked a few hours later) were not actually placed, etc. I got so fed up and had so many random cable boxes to return that I just decided to go into the store in person to return them and hopefully get some help from a human being I can actually interact with. Based on the previously mentioned terrible experiences I braced myself for a fairly rough visit to the XFINITY Store. When I checked in my comment was a simple, "FML." If that tells you anything. Luckily it was surprisingly not awful! Sure, I had very low expectations but it was actually fairly easy and painless. It pains me to give Comcast anything above 1 star after the couple of weeks we've had (following a few months of terrible internet service) but I have to give credit where credit is due. I was 9th in line when I signed in so I did have to wait a bit but the "line" moved fairly quickly and there was a comfortable waiting area (with a big screen TV showing a football game. Not being super into football I just fiddled on my phone but did appreciate the comfy chair). They even have some stuff for kids set out (toys and the like) to occupy an little ones. Wasn't the worst place to bide my time. After about 10 minutes I was finally called and the woman who helped me was awesome. I wish I could remember her name to give her a shout out. I returned my boxes, explained to her what I needed, and she grabbed it for me with no problems (contrary to what two phone CSRs told me, you CAN pick up X1 boxes at an XFINITY store, FYI). I texted my husband and told him how smooth it went and his response was "WOW." Yep, shocking to get good customer service from them finally but I was grateful. At home I set the new box up and it got going quickly. Unfortunately in the few days since we've found that the box keeps freezing and the remote isn't paring with our TV so I'll probably have to go back to exchange them (not the fault of the workers there but on Comcast's shoddiness on a whole) but at least I know that I can get good help here so I'm not dreading it as I normally would. read more

My only contact with this store was through the return of a starter kit. They handled that efficiently and politely. However, I was returning it because Comcast Corporation is apparently incapable of conducting business honestly and efficiently. I bought into the kit because of information/assurances provided by a salesperson working out of a Best Buy store. Pretty much everything he told me turned out to be misleading or flat out wrong. So, I called Comcast because my dogs chewed the cable line where it was exposed above ground. After trying to explain for what seemed like ever. I finally was told they would call me to let me know when they will be out. But, that know one needed to be home since my problem was outside. Well as you can imagine- No call, tech came out replaced the line. Left the line exposed above ground in several places. Remember my dogs? Well the tech did not leave any info that he had been there. Staff at this location are pleasant, the greeter is very friendly and has great etiquette. However, the equipment at this location is subpar. Even the employees can't access what's needed due to tech issues. Sad to see considering the employees are so friendly. I came in at 11:15 la and am leaving at 12:55p trying to release a hold on an address left by previous tenants, no service was issued and my problem is still left to be resolved. The staff member was helpful enough to take my name and number to give me a call if their systems started cooperating. Overall a waste of time. read more

Aside from bad customer service and unexplained prices from Comcast as a whole, this location has served its purpose for whatever I need it for. The workers are quick to fix any equipment or account issues you have (usually without question), and there's never really a long wait. I've been here several times for account changes or faulty equipment exchanges and have always been in and out pretty quickly. It's not like the old Comcast locations where you grab a number and sit, and this can lead to confusion when you go to the Plymouth location. They have someone check you in, and a worker behind the counter will call out your name. Awhile ago, you were able to sign yourself in. Last time I was there, no one was checking anyone in, and a bunch of us just kind of stood around awkwardly. They need a better "check in" process and a more organized waiting area. read more

Amazingly poor experience. Was trying to establish new service with Comcast as I'm moving to Canton,MI. Went online several days ago to get set-up which was smooth but then I made the mistake of trying to communicate with them by phone when my closing date was scheduled sooner. I then had a rep tell me he had me scheduled for Thursday only to have a text tell me it was five days later on Monday. I then attempted to go on line and chat with a rep who told me no account existed and then said I disconnected service at the address. I told the chat rep that I was not even moved into the home and couldn't have disconnected service & must have mistaken me for the prior homeowners...after several minutes of delay I was simply told to call back to sales to get an account established for new activation. I then called into Comcast & was told the rep I spoke to earlier mistakenly wiped out my account & no scheduled install date existed. I then shared with them what occurred and the sequence of events and was told I would get a call from management & they'd straighten it out. At 8PM I received a call but they disconnected after one ring. I gave it 30 minutes and called back and was told I was scheduled for Monday, Aug 12th. I asked the rep to check the notes on the account as I was anticipating a call from management who was going to straighten out the situation & get me an install date for Thursday. The rep shared no notes existed and what did I want to do and she couldn't do sooner than Monday. I figured if today was any indication of their customer service who knows what would happen once they have my business so I told her to cancel everything and please send me something in writing that my account was cancelled. Never received that written confirmation she promised.... So called Wow and was handled by a very good customer service rep and we have services scheduled for Friday. I recommend avoiding Comcast/Xfinity after my experience of trying to become a customer. read more

Liars Liars... Dealing with Comcast reps is all talk and no action. "Yes, we won't charge you for the visit when the tech said he wouldn't charge you. Yes, we will take off the new cable box and shipping charge from your bill (that you didn't even request, for an HD receiver when you don't get HD!). But you still better pay the bill or there will be a late charge. It will be fixed on your next bill, we promise." And then it takes a second visit, and a third visit, and each time they say it will be fixed next month. And calling on the phone is even worse. I have had to go in to XFINITY twice in order to turn in equipment and re-sign up when we moved to a new location in Canton. The employees are very helpful...and surprisingly FAST. I highly recommend going in to this store and dealing with your Comcast issues. Don't call. The ONE thing I would change is having a direct line- Comcast directs you to a national line. :( If you find one, let me know! lol Shout out to Terence Watts who has helped me every time. I was so disappointed in dealing with this company. After 20 mins waiting to get thru the teleprompter to speak to someone, I wasted another 20 mins to be told there were no service appointments available 7 and 14 days out. She kept offering days that I repeatedly told were not possible, but was never listened to in regards to a solution. Afterwards they've called me over 10 times (but only once was a person on the line to communicate the inconvenient dates for me were available but again could not help me with service within my two week window. I'm not sure if I need to hire someone outside the company to fix my issue or switch to a different provider who appreciates a customers time and loyalty. read more

It is not about equipment, or channels, or some Idiot neighbor that cut your line while digging. It's not about outages or squirrel line-eaters. All FIVE stars go to the super nice and super helpful people that work at this place. I've been in three times (once to shop and twice for buying/service). Somebody in this Plymouth Michigan store has been using my Social Security number to open accounts fraudulently and now I am having to go through a bunch of stuff with their fraud department and I don't even live in Michigan I've lived in Florida since 2000 I will get to the bottom of this if I have to drive up there myself I don't think it's very good business practice by anybody to open up accounts with other people's social security number!!! Sometimes they may goof up on a bill or something but mistakes happen and when they do they've always took care of it right away for me. Comcast is just horrible. Dealing with their customer service trying to troubleshoot anything is enough to put any one in a bad mood. Just love having to waste 20 minutes on the phone with someone troubleshooting who doesn't have a clue about the issue. Even their techs say the tech support on the phone is horrible. I had a reasonable experience - with Xfinity Sales Reps and all. If their are problems with equipment and issue with their installation- that is not the problem of the Store Sales Rep. The sales reps did well to address my concerns even thought they screwed up by allowing me to term a modem that I should have kept, the Gateway Modem, to replace my old Arris type modem. The new modem was necessary and after some him haw- worked fine after 2 hours of installation. I did not have any faith in the technical support on the phone - but come to know it worked out fine. read more
