I walked in the store and saw someone standing there with their head down on their phone looked like a customer.by the time I walked completely through the store I finally asked him did he work here he said yeah. I asked him about my 2013 Macbook for up grades he said no buy a new one nothing can be done. I know I can upgrade to Catalina. I also know I can upgrade my ssd and battery. He clearly had no clue about repairs on models of MacBooks He also did not have a charger for 2013 models but just one to test. I bought a used MacBook air 2015 from them for 850.00 last September. If I had purchased the MacBook air from Apple, I would have gotten a newer model for that price and there would have been a warranty. Instead, I'm sitting at the apple store waiting to replace a broken screen, and finding that I'll need to purchase another computer, for 850.00, but which will include 150.00 off and a 150.00 credit. There's a reason why you go directly to apple to buy a used apple. Don't buy one from these guys. They'll charge you too much and you won't get a warranty. I bought an iPhone for my gf's friend from there earlier this year; it's still within the 1-yr warranty. The friend lives near Lansing, and ever since I bought it, she said there was an issue with the gps. Well, she finally couldn't take it anymore and I have the phone now. The gps is a problem, sometimes the screen will flash rapidly like an old tv would also. Now, I see that the screen protector cracked and some liquid got on the phone (white line streak), but this is not a cause for any of these issues, especially when they started day 1 or 2 after me buying the phone. Experimac is NOW telling me that the warranty is void! Do NOT shop here!!!!Boycott!!!! This is the 2nd or 3rd phone that I've purchased that has had issues. Do not purchase from here, the owner and the workers are very rude and unprofessional. They are SCAMMERS!!! I purchased a mac for $750 the battery was useless off a 100% charge dying not even after 2 hours. I came to return it and was charged a restocking fee of $115. Which was never disclosed at the time of purchase and is illegal to be placed on a defective product. This place is a life saver!! My 19mo old decided to toss my iPhone 6 to a concrete floor, needless to say my phone was not in good shape. We went to 2 different Sprint locations, they were HORRIBLE!! The "insurance" they offer is absolutely WORTHLESS!! It only covers manufacturer defects.. Your device usually carries a 1-2 year warranty to begin with & after that your probably going to be updating your phone.. Instead of offering any reasonable help whats their solution without even checking the phone.. Buy a new one with a new contract.. once again SPRINT is FREKIN' Horrible, I'm getting Verizon or AT&T once my contract expires in a couple of months, thank god. So we ended up trying to have the Apple store take a look.. They were trying to tell me there were a whole bunch of things wrong with my phone & couldn't have it fixed till 2 weeks from when I went. -.- So as a last ditch effort I go to this Experimac down my block that I think just opened 6 mo ago. Within a couple of minutes, this dude runs a diagnostic analysis of my phone & confirms that there was really nothing wrong with my phone except for the cracked screen. The guy fixes it & has my phone fully functional within an hour. My impression of this place... very professional & knowledgeable.. but 1st & foremost HONEST! Both Sprint & Apple Store employees seemed more concerned about getting me on to a new contract or a new phone rather than actually caring for their customers. BRAVO to EXPERIMAC! My best friend has broken her phone screen more times than I can count. I brought her here after I had broken my screen one time and she has been going here ever since. Yeah, like 6 times since...in probably the last year. Anyway, the service is great. So are the prices and they usually have a Groupon going on as well. The only thing I think they should do is offer a punch card for people like my best friend who are clumsy with their phone...to say the least. At least for fixing the phone screens it doesn't even take more than a couple of hours which to me is so important, especially since I do some work from my phone. My daughters cell phone screen cracked. Took to Experimac and they fixed same day! Reasonable rates and fast, honest service!

I called ahead of time and told them I had a Groupon for a screen saver and was told not to use the Groupon and they would honor the price of $55.00. When I dropped my phone off to be fixed I was told it would be $75.00 instead. I pled my case to no avail and as it was my daughter's phone I felt like I needed to get it fixed. Then when I picked my phone up I told the young man working the counter I was not happy about the switch in price and at first he made no response. Then when I reiterated my displeasure he went in the office behind the counter and shut the door. I was happy with my service the first time I came here. I will not return. read more

While Experimac was super fast at replacing my cracked screen the replacement screen they used is very dull and has light bleeds around the edges. I mentioned this to the gentleman helping me and he could've carried less and pretty much said it is what is. If you're going to use cheap replacements you should probably let your customers know that they may see a difference in the quality of the screen. read more

While this business does have a 90 day guarantee on all their work and they offered what seemed like great specials, I've never had to use the 90 guarantee so much with any other business. When I got my iPhone screen repaired, I only go as far as my car before I discovered the touch screen wasn't working and I couldn't text. They fixed that, then on the drive home I made a call. I could not hang up the phone! Brought it back for the third time in 24 hours and when I got it back the microphone was not working and the battery drained in about three hours. They said the screen was defective and replaced it. While it worked OK, there were still issues with the microphone but since I live 30 miles away, Iealt with it. The only reason they got two stars and not one is because they did have good customer service and a 90 day guarantee. Now if only they could actually fix the phones. read more

When the replacement didn't work quiet the way I had hoped, they were completely professional, heard my concerns and refunded me for the replacement phone. It is easy for businesses to have professionalism when things go right, but they were just as professional and accommodating with my return/refund. Thank you, thank you, thank you Experimac in Canton! My iPhone had been having issues since November (IOS 10 update). Siri would time out so I couldn't voice text, phone wouldn't interface correctly with my car/gps, and other frustrating things BUT my phone still held a charge so I figured the battery problem being talked about in the news was not the problem. I called the Apple store at Twelve Oaks and was told I needed to bring the phone in for a diagnostic check and THEN, if needed, they would order a new battery for me and I would need to come back to have the battery installed (aprox. 2 hour process). After reading on a community Facebook page about someone else's experience at Experimac, I decided to see what they would say about my phone. I was mentally prepared to hear that I would need to buy a new phone. When I walked in the store they ran a diagnostic test and my phone was only running at 62% capacity (in order to conserve battery life). They also checked the rest of my phone (cameras, speakers, microphone, and a bunch of other things). 20 minutes later, a new battery was installed and my phone works like it's brand new! I am so grateful, not just for the great, friendly service, but also for not having to drive to Twelve Oaks (twice) and deal with the craziness of the Apple store. The cost of the diagnostics and new battery at Experimac: $39. The Apple store would've been $29 but I was happy to pay $10 extra for the ease and convenience! Thank you Experimac!!!! read more
