Terrible customer service…read more I called the store asking if I (a current T-Mobile customer) needed to physically bring in a new phone to activate a line for it. Jake the manager said I did but he could add a new line to my account with no activation fee as it was a special promotional offer. When I brought the physical phone a couple days later Jake was not there and neither of the two employees there were able or willing to activate my new phone even though a line had already been added to my account. One male employee in particular was patronizing and rude and insisted he could not help me--only Jake could because Jake had the codes. ??? (I asked if Jake was the ONLY T-Mobile employee who could help me.) This was not a problem, he told me condescendingly, because I could just come back tomorrow when Jake would be back from 2-8. Long story short I called T-Mobile and they were able to handle everything over the phone and were incredibly gracious, professional and apologetic for the conduct of the Store employees.

Then he tells us if we want to try the Internet for 2 Weeks we can and if we like it then we would be charged if not, just bring it back and no charge and we chose the lower end of Internet, which should've been $40 with no extender and we only took home the box no extender.. I was charged for the higher price Internet with extender bill.... lastley I'm looking over my receipt and I see that my total charge was only $40 but he charged me $60. Where did my other $20 go Quentin? And why did you charge me to activate a phone line that was already active? He was borderline insulting when I mentioned online offerings as well as a package my friend had just received from Comcast. He told me these offers never existed. It seems like their customer service had improved for a while after decades of being the worst. That recovery appears to have lapsed based this experience and the frustration of trying to get a hold of someone via the phone when there is a service issue. Time to shop around for a different service.
