I was for some time a customer of Xfinty, or cableone internet. Every year, my bill we up unexpectedly. I would call to see why and I was always told that I had been contacted about my bill going up. Maybe, but I got so many notices about service outages it must have slipped by. I'd end up getting a new rate after I took the time to call. But the service still went down all the time and after a period of time, often less than a year the price went up. LUCKY for me another company layed fiber in our neighborhood. If you're not a customer, do yourself a favor and find literally anyone else that can provide service. They can't be worse than Xfinity. If you are a customer, trust me... Xfinity won't get better. This review is not for this store, but for Xfinity online customer service. First of all I was moving to a new residence, and I end up finding out that when I tried to transfer the service it was cancelled instead. I logged on to the app to chat with a rep and ended up getting disconnected from the rep at least 7 or 8 times while being told to do the steps I needed to do. I finally called to talk to a real person which was a nightmare on its own. The agent kept saying hello and I can't hear you even though could clearly hear them. Nobody knocked on my door, nobody rang the doorbell. I have two dogs, and four kids. (Somebody would've realized somebody was at the door if they tried to Make contact) Instead my Vivint home security system, shows a Xfinity van in front of my house that sat for about 15 minutes. After about that time, the man gets out of the van and comes to my door and hangs the door-hanger and turns around and walks away. He contacted, from what I understand, his base and reported nobody was home! WHAT A LIE!!!!!! The guy was lying because it was probably too uncomfortable for him to work outside in the rain. I'm not going let this go. The technicians name is "Jon", and I'm going to report this company and this individual to any news media outlets and the attorney generals office! Xfinity Comcast is stealing from its clients. They take your money, however their Internet sucks and the customer service is just as bad. HEY! but they still expect you to pay your bill and put up with the technicians that lie!!!! I'm so appalled at this kind of behavior. I do not consent to this type of behavior and treatment. I was recommended by a customer service representative on chat to go to one of their locations to get help. All the representative told me to do was email him and gave me his business card. So I was trying to do the online service provided to get my Internet situated, when I realized that the modem to get it delivered would be $30. So I thought why not drive to the nearest store and get the modem there are there by save the money. Best idea ever! Not only was the Service friendly, but it was also fast and efficient. I visited the store on 06/25/15, I worked with Kyle Norman. Usually when I need to figure something out with Comcast/Xfinity I can call in and get it worked out. I made three attempts to get a billing question answered by calling in. Unfortunately I couldn't get it figured out over the phone. I took a few minutes and stopped into the store, I had an exceptional experience and wanted to share it. When I went in to visit, I was greeted by someone at the entrance and also by a rush of cold air. They keep this office nice and cool, the day I visited the temp outside was in the 90s. So I loved the fresh and cool greeting of an Oasis like air conditioned store. I'm not sure if my timing was just perfect, I was able to speak with a rep within a minute. We pulled up my account and I explained what I was trying to figure out. The rep listened and didn't interrupt or cut me off. After I finished my explanation, the rep said something along the lines of... "let's get you taken care of." Simple as that, we did talk about a few other products they were offering but I insisted I only wanted what I had. Kyle got me fixed up and recommended that I visit the store and he insisted that I would always receive this level of service. I made time that day and the next day to bring my Dad and my Father In-law into the store and worked with a different rep one of the times. I'm not sure what is so special about this location but they seem focused on providing great service. If you are an existing customer and you want to feel the love, I highly recommend visiting this location! Yes, I know I wish you could get the same level of service everywhere. First off, I'm not rating Comcast's pricing, nor their phone-based customer service, just the in-person interaction in this store. In short, a very smooth and pleasant experience. I went in this morning with the intent to downgrade my service to internet-only (since I, literally, have had my cable box unplugged for the last year). The "triage" greeter at the front got me queued up (and held my cable box in a cubby for me), and after a short wait the service rep (Travis) downgraded my plan with no fuss. Overall, a great experience. Avoid phone support if you can help it--these little stores are the way to go (and you'll have to visit them anyway if you're going to be returning any comcast-provided devices). In the middle of a pandemic and economic crisis, insurance companies are cutting premiums, landlords are deferring rent payments, and mortgage companies are forgiving late mortgage payments to help people out. Employees are rude and lack basic customer service skills and abilities. My last dealing with this store, the supposed "manager" couldn't figure out how to reset my password for my account. After wasting an hour of my time I get home to log in to find that my new temp password and login don't work...what a giant surprise. Every month the bill is wrong which requires me to take time out of my day, make multiple phone calls, to still have the problem pop up with next bill. I was very upset with the level of call center service (or lack thereof) that I had received from Comcast/Xfinity over the phone on several occasions. So many empty promises made, so many calls back to me that never ended up happening. I saw that we had a local xfinity location, so I decided to go in and discuss in person. Had I known what I know now, I would have gone into this store a long time ago. While my particular issue was fairly complex, 30 minutes in the store with both Chris and the store manager set things straight. These associates work very hard to right the wrongs that the call center staff creates. They are very personable, and did all that they could to keep my business.
