Added a 70 charge to my bill for sending out a tech when i moved to a new apartment. The cable wasn't turned on from an outside box yet they expect that this is somehow my fault and i should pay for it. Called customer service and after explaining to the guy what was going on he puts me on hold for 10 minutes and comes back saying that they would remove the charge as a "one time courtesy". I just want internet access that I pay for but no its always something I need to reset then I end up picking up new equipment. When I lived in a smaller city I never had problems with comcast but here in Albuquerque its like the stooge button was switched on with their customer service. The customer service was terrible, the associate Valerie was rude and dismissive from the moment we walked up and yelled immediately for her manager the moment we started talking. As a company I am appalled that you would force your loyal customers to pay double the price of new deals if they stay with you past a year. It makes no sense and creates zero brand loyalty by actively punishing people for keeping their service longer than a year. I had to return my cable box by the end of the night to not get charged for next month's bill, I was told. I decided to stop by this comcast store, JUST TO RETURN THE BOX. The guy at the front counter said it would be an hour wait.. I told him I just needed to give them the box and be on my way, nothing else. He then repeated "Like I said, if you want to wait we will get to you.", with a very rude undertone. I had to sit on the floor, up against a wall for over an hour. Not enough chairs, and only 4 people actually at their stations out of 12! This was ridiculous. read more

My grandmother was having trouble with her cable box. When she called they told her to come in and exchange it for a new one -- was that what she got, no. In fact she got an older cable box from maybe 3-4 years ago. When I went to go set it up for her it didn't work! I called them up and they treated me like I was a moron who didnt know how to set it up correctly -- they sent someone else out who switched the cable box with another OLD box! When that one still didnt work they figured out that it wasnt her box or "lack of knowlage on setting one up" but their service. Comcast does not have internet in rio rancho but they have cable... the only other options are cable one which make you upgrade if you go over your data. Or centrylink they have decent internet unless you need good upload and download speed for a family or if your a gamer. Those in control of Comcast are making literally millions of dollars per year, and these profits are being made in ways that are simply morally wrong: After diligently paying my $80 per month for cable and internet for nine months, my bill suddenly increased by $7.00 per month! After a great deal of research, I am now certain that the "Broadcast TV fee" is fictional. It first appeared on customer bills in 2013 as $1.50, and has now risen 333% to $6.50. Employees recite robotic responses to complaints about this, they have been lied to so they will believe this "fee" is outside of Comcast control. Other fees were also abruptly increased on my bill, which took a careful dissection for me to determine which and how much as the bills are very confusing. Currently, there are pending lawsuits against Comcast for this deplorable and shady practice, as well as lawsuits for other dishonorable practices. BOYCOTT COMCAST! read more

World's Worst Internet service provider, I called customer service to complain about my internet speed they told that they had created ticket for my issue and the next available slot to check my issue is after 10 days until now all their technicians are fully booked, this is the reply i got from them. My internet speed is very very very dead slow (Download speed is 1 Mbps and Upload speed is 0.005 Mbps) but my internet package is 25 mbps speed package. For 25 Mbps internet package speed i am getting Download speed is 1 Mbps and Upload speed is 0.5 Mbps.. i was travelling around the world even in under developed village in other countries also the internet speed is much much more better (greater than 1Mbps speed).... First allow me to express the importance of having an appointment. Xfinity is going through great strides to improve their customer service, thank you baby Jesus, so it takes a little longer if you are a walk in. My husband and I walked in around 10:00 am on a Saturday morning and found there was a 45 minute wait. We were able to quickly set up a same day appointment so we could run our errands and return at 1:30 that afternoon. When we returned for our appointment we waited no more than 5 minutes, even though we were a bit early, when we were greeted by Michael Jennings. Firstly, let's just own the fact that Michael is the "Mac Daddy" of customer service! Not in a weird, "how you doin'?" sorta way. He was just sincere, kind, friendly and knowledgeable! He took the time to run a change of responsibility update our plan as well as arrange a tech install both efficiently and effortlessly. Xfinity has an amazing employee, we would strongly recommend creating an appointment and asking for Michael Jennings to ensure you get the support you deserve! read more

I orderded my service online and even had the date set for installation. A customer service agent calls me 2 days later and tells me that they cancelled my order because the previous tenants in my apartment owed a bill. Then tells me that I have to go to a Comcast store to prove I live there. I asked her " why couldn't the service man get that info when he came out to install ? " . She stammered and couldn't answer the question. Why didn't any of my other neighbors have to do that and why couldn't they call the apartment's office to confirm who lived there. This place is HORRIBLE!! I didn't think there was anything WORSE than the MVD/DMV, but this place easily takes home the FAIL prize. I'm a brand new customer and had to wait over an hour to pick up my equipment. The facility was understaffed for about 30 minutes, and once Comcast Reps finally arrived at their stations, they stared at their computer screens instead of helping the dozens of customers filling up their building. To top it off, I returned home with faulty equipment and have spent the past 2 evenings with incompetent customer service reps on the phone, "troubleshooting" a cable box that won't even turn on. (Uhm... perhaps it's broke!?!?!) So, unfortunately, it's back to this stupid hell hole tomorrow. STAY AWAY!! Amazing customer service. There were a lot of people ahead of me, but I didn't mind waiting in the comfortable chairs. They even passed out water to people who were waiting. Dillon was a great source of knowledge on the new mobile service offered. He helped me pick a phone and helped me set it up the following day remotely...I didn't have all of the information needed to transfer the service to Xfinity. So happy we switched from Centurylink to Comcast. Comcast has the most helpful employees, a convenient location, and go above and beyond in customer service. read more

I'm shocked Xfinity receives anything but a 1 star or even less. I can't comment on their equipment, their monthly billing, their product...because they couldn't even manage to get it installed at my house. Backstory: I have 4 HD tvs, each needing DVRs, and usually get the premium sports and movie packages. In other words, I spend more than $200 a month on TV because of my job. So you'd think XFinity would jump at the chance to get my business. Wrong! After confirming my install appointment online, they later pushed it back 2 days without telling me; then when we set a new appointment time, they again failed to show up with out any warning. I have had horrible service ever since day one with this company! From day one, they mailed the wrong cable box for self install. I called before I even installed it, because it didn't say DVR on the box...and I wanted to know if it was the right one. Twice they reassured me that it was the correct box, on two separate calls. However, on the third call, the person finally figured out it wasn't. Since then, I've received the bill, after only one week...and they've over charged me. I spent at least 30 minutes explaining to the incompetent lady, Celine or Feline?, that my bill was wrong. She kept ignoring my questions and refused to let me speak to a manager. Every time I call, their sales people evade whatever the problem is and try to beat around the bush, while NOT fixing the problem. They don't want you to speak to the manager for what ever reason. These people and this company desperately need to own up to their problems and step up their customer service...because it really sucks!!! Got an unsolicited call from them offering me more cable channels for only $8 than I was already paying. I'm sure you've guessed that when the bill came, it was higher than $8 -- true! -- around $50 more. So, I called and the nice woman said she'd give me this and that and change me all around and I would actually be paying less than I had originally been paying -- WRONG! -- still higher. So I called and asked them to just return it to where I had started before their ripoff master salesperson called with a fake promotion, but oops they don't have that price anymore. Can I talk to a manager -- no. In the end, they put me back at my old price for one year. How generous!!! Called Comcast and was advised to drop an unwanted modem off at 4800 Cutler location. Not only that an agent was OUTRAGEOUSLY rude to me (I didn't get his name - the tall Asian guy), he wouldn't give me any documentation proving that I returned their modem! I had a visit from an Xfinity rep who told me about a great deal on cable and Internet. I already had Comcast/Xfinity Internet and have been pleased with its delivery and speed. I ordered the Cable package and the tech came out the next day. I must say I really liked the programming and the remote is awesome. I cancelled the Cable after 5 days. The service is terrible and the employees are rude. My Smart TV would not connect to the Internet and no one could tell me why or how to fix it. I was on the phone with one tech after another and they either argued with me or were of no help whatsoever. I understand now why Comcast is on the list of the 10 worse companies in the US. There is absolutely no regard for the customer once they sell you...no returning phone calls, and cancelled or no show home appointments. I called Directv and had them reinstall my service before I even had a chance to return their equipment. You might save a little money, you get more channels and HBO, but it is not worth it. Thank goodness I was in a 30 day trial period although the day after I cancelled I received an email bill for $285.00. The in-store employees were very nice and tried to resell me but I was too angry. They took care of the $285 bill that I should have never received in the first place. Horrible customer service and so expensive. Almost $200/month for cable & internet/phone and its supposed to be a triple play deal. Last time I talked to customer service about lowing costs or downgrading they told me it would be even more expensive because their prices have gone up. One customer service rep suggested I get rid of my cat (have her put down) being that she is elderly & needs medical care.. Can you be anymore heartless? I also called on different occasions because my cable goes out at least once a week but more often 2 to 3 times. They told me if I call for an indoor check and the problem is outdoors I will be charged and vice versa. I finally had to have a friend that works for centurylink check and they found problems both inside with my boxes and on the cables outside (which were both loose and being pirated by neighbors)... I even reported this pirating to Comcast and again they said if they come out to look they will bill me for a service call (which is over $100 they said, how rude). I am returning my cable box today and will more than likely return the internet modem next month and just get internet thru centurylink and get Sling TV, Netflix or Hula run through my computer. I called because i had no signal. Trying to talk to a real person took 15 minutes. A signal was sent but did not restart my service. I called the next day. After 10 minutes of automation, I was disconnected. I called back, went through the same automated stuff. Finally got a real person who kept trying to get me to enhance/change my service. When that didn't work he tried sending a signal again twice & all the things I went through before. I kept insisting on a person to come to the house. I was willing to pay for it. I asked 4 times if someone could come today. It was 1 PM. I told the guy I would not be home tomorrow. He set me up for tomorrow. I was speaking as clearly as i could but I don't think the man understood English. I raised my voice & repeated tomorrow is not ok. I told you that. His reply? "this is what the system is telling me." I again repeated I would not be home tomorrow, so it would have to be the morning of the next day. That took 3 tries to get him to understand. Hello. If you are reading this it means you are considering xfinity. My life was normal once. I had internet service and all was right with the world. Then I moved to duke city and decided to try xfinity. Suddenly, right before my eyes, I was plunged into the tenth level of hell known as xfinity customer service( not even Dante deserved the torment I have received) but In all seriousness the service has been godawful. I requested 2 weeks before my move that the internet be turned on and installed, to wich they replied that the house I was moving to was a previous user, it would be a ten minute job that they could do the next weekend. I was surprised when my landlord called and said it was a no show. After a call they alerted a supervisor and rescheduled. I thought "no problem" because I still wasn't moving for a week. Then to my surprise another no show. This continued for a MONTH. They missed 7 more appointment and assured me they would be coming the next weekend and they never called or showed. Their service sucks( wait for it) D***. If you want internet service get centurylink they installed my service in TWO days. Or if you want the xfinity experience repeatedly run head first into a concrete wall. It will be less painful. read more
