This company sucks! I can't believe the FCC allows phone companies like Xfinity to stay in business. My story is no different from most of the reviews I've read in this forum. I'm switching service provider, thus leaving Xfinity. I called them a week prior to doing so to ensure my account was in good standing and that I'll begin the clear to port my number and have my phone unlocked to be used with my new service provider. I was given a one-time code to port my number and was promised that my phone would be unlocked then. I went to my new provider and got my number ported, but the phone was still locked. I called and asked why my phone was still locked, at which time I was told that it will be in 24 hours - that never happened, because the previous representative i spoke to never placed a ticket for yhat to take place. This time, I was given a ticket #, and was told to wait 48 hours for the unlock. Of course, 48 hours later, my phone was still locked. Fast forward 7 days later, my phone is still locked after countless hours on calls talking to CS representative at phone centers in the Philippines , and talking to someone in the us is not optional. I ried calling they're headquarters in Philly, still to no avail. I don't know how Verizon associates itself with such a mediocre company, be cause of the il treatment I'm getting here, I considering leaving Verizon too. read more

Xfinity has the worst customer service. it took over an hour to get to someone to make a simple change in my account

We relocated to Springfield TN area and chose Xfinity for Internet provider. We moved from out of state and was not familiar with them. My spouse works from home so a solid ISP is a must. Service was granted on 6/17/22 however not completed. The cable from the street to my new home would need to be buried underground, which I understood that it could not be done that day as the Utility companies involved needed to mark where other lines were located. The temporary line ran is around 30' across my yard. Within a few days of the initial install inside my home, the yard was marked with paint by the utility companies so Xfinity could easily locate where not to dig. Today is 7/16/2022 and although I have contacted Xfinity several times via phone as well as used the unfortunate chat bot on their customer portal. Customer service reps I have spoken with ensure me this is a schedule issue. Currently I have a cable across my yard which is a safety issue as well as I am unable to mow in that area. The orange marker paint lines are nearly faded from this as well. I somewhat expect a tech to avoid installing when they show up because of the fading paint. I paid the install fee as soon as the bill arrived. I have asked for an escalation on this or a supervisor to speak with me however have been denied by the customer service. I rarely write a bad review however this is an uncaring company. If Xfinity had simply given me a avenue such as a email address to contact direct or a follow up to include an apology perhaps we could have come to an agreement to avoid my frustrations and I would avoid a bad survey. When you speak with sales with this company if you are considering, please remember my experience. I suggest do your research. I can only assume all of the products they sell, Cell service, Cable TV, etc. will have the same level of uncaring customer service. Greg Bolton read more

They are still trying to charge former customers (like me) for services cancelled. Cancelled my internet service (it was the ONLY service I had with them), received an e-mail confirming it was cancelled, and received the e-mail they received the equipment back. Now they are sending me a bill for a new month of service. What makes it seem like they are totally idiots is that they owe me a pro-rated refund for the time after it was cancelled. Xfinity's customer service is absolutely terrible. It gives you a machine that sends you in loops. It is the most aggravating experience I have ever had trying to speak to someone about a problem on the phone. It would not, no matter how hard I tried, get me to speak to a representative about a specific question I had. Absolutely deplorable. By far the worst experience I've ever had with a company. My contract ended with Fios and I decided to give Comcast a try. Very bad idea. 1. Rep did a hard inquiry on my credit after stating it was a soft inquiry. Had to speak to a manager 3 times to have the pull removed from my report. 2. When it came to for installation, the tech showed up an hour late, then told me he had to LEAVE to get to the other appointment and he'd come back in 4 hours. I had things to do, which is why I had an APPOINTMENT, but they obviously didn't care and I had to waste my entire day being inconvenienced. 3. I was promised a credit for everything I went through and never received it. 4. I cancelled after two weeks and had to contact them 5-6 times to have them remove the bills they kept sending me for TWO months of service I didn't receive. 5. In total, throughout the 2 weeks I dealt with this company, I probably lost out on at least 6 hours of my time talking to customer service reps. Needless to say, stay away from this company. I went back to Fios and I'm so much happier with them. I would rather pay double and have reliable customer service along with a great product. read more

This is the worst company. The service sucks. I work from home and need my internet. I have been without service all day. This is ridiculous. They have no idea when service will be back up and running. No one seems to know anything. When you call you can't speak to anyone just the computer that continues to loop. When you do talk to someone they lie to you because honestly they have no clue to what's going on. I would advise everyone that has Comcast/ Xinifity to cancel their service and go to AT&T. I don't even know where to begin as we all know we have to choose in order to rate. My mother is A disabled older women who's on a fixed monthly income, She's been trying to switch her bill cycle to the beginning of the month instead of in the middle of the month. I called for her and the representative I spoke to st the moment was nice and offered to help us she also suggested to have my mama switch to a different cheaper plan as well as and automated monthly with draw which she declined she didn't insist and we were told to fill out the form via email to co form the change which my mother never changed so of course they went and took All that shit and we're not even on the beginning of the month now her account is negative and when I called again and spoke to a Maple she was very un professional, rude and very unpleasant when it come to disputing this transaction she even insisted that there was no manager available to speak with here we are today still the same issue my mother has paid this company for internet and tv over $315 and they're not seeing the payment reflecting in her current account now they want to charge her again @xfinity read more

This cable company is too over priced. I also have an issue that I lost my job unexpectedly but made sure to pay my bill on time however, I had to cancel my service do to job loss and all they were concerned about is making sure I pay the $237.00 cancellation fee. I called them to let them know I lost my job and that I would make sure to pay for the services I used, in which I paid right on time, but they still insisted on me paying the early termination fee. Now they sent it to a collections company. This is not a company concerned about whether their customers lost their job or not and fell on financial hardship. WOW! What can I say, this is my seventh time trying to get something done with this company. I cannot even explain how bad and untrained they are. I have tried to add a phone line, security services and get a cable box. I have been in to the store in person and my account was even worse. My payments were applied to an old address, could not view my new address, went to collections due to this! I have been a customer for over 25 years consistently and never been late with a payment! So frustrated and now on hold for ever as the service tech did not show up as scheduled today and my future appointment is not booked. If you can avoid them I would at all costs. Our landlord cut our internet cable, yes, on purpose. Xfinity came to our rescue and repaired the cut cable. They didn't leave until they were sure our internet was working. Current Internet speed gives lousy performance. Xfinity will not let me increase speed without taking a "package" that locks me in for 2 years. No flexibility for customer needs. I have been a comcast member for years at many different locations. I just recently moved out of the area where comcast is no longer offered and was forced to cancel my membership. Comcast charged me over $100 just to cancel when I didn't even have an option to move my service with me elsewhere. I think it says a lot about their customer service and corporation when they can't even work with a long time customer and waive the cancellation fee for moving out of state as a courtesy. They are a large company who already make a lot of money, especially from me over the years. You would think they would be courteous enough to be accommodating for longtime customers. Not to mention the service wasn't always great nor was the service, had to have comcast due to the face that they were the only ones int he area. They are awful. Someone hacked my email that I have had for eight years. They supposedly investigated. They came back and said I had to pay $100.00 to get my email back. Then they said they could not give me back my old user name. So, I was the victim of fraud and I have to suffer. I'm thinking about cancelling. Horrible customer service by Xfinity. Made an appointment for earlier today a couple weeks ago and customer rep on chat confirmed it. Took half a day off work only to not have anyone show up, but when I contacted customer service took 2 hours for them to confirm there was no appointment and asking when I'd like to make a new one. I would give it 0 stars of possible. I had called to make some changes were told there is no contract termination fee because you are still going to be with comcast. Worst subscription TV ever. Very poor installation, left wires hanging out of wall, things not working right When I called them back for the third time, they wanted to charge me $56.00. My 30 day trial period was not up yet, so I cancelled. The unfriendly woman on the other end of the line shut off my TV, and Internet while I was talking. Then they wouldn't port my phones back to ATT. (I have had two lines with the same numbers for 30 years.) I was without phones, TV, or Internet for 1 Month. It took 6 months for a refund of my charges. First the told me I had to wait until I took their cable boxes back, I took them back the same day. Then they said I had to wait for corporate to approve the refund, Then they said the check was on the way. I finally got my refund after 6 months and a lot of calls, and waiting on hold only to be transferred around a lot. Got service at a new apartment and decided we wanted to downgrade our service and called customer service after looking at packages online the one we wanted was $49.99. Customer service informed me I would have to pay $99 for this package as I am an existing customer. It seems they have no desire to keep the customers they have satisfied. It appeared the only interest they have is in getting new customers in board of I lived in an area where any other company was available I would leave immediately but they know your stuck with them and have no desire to keep you satisfied with your service. Comcast dupes people by showing them an attractive rate for the first year and by the end of year2 you are actually paying the double amount of what you were offered. I got a 25mb connection for 40 as a promotional offer which became 60 in the 2nd year and 80 after that. Am I seriously supposed to pay 80 bucks for a measly 25mb connection. I am a Comcast Xfinity customer. Back in May we had a 4 hour service interruption. I was reimbursed a whopping $1.45. Again yesterday (6/5/18) we had another 4 hour interruption. Yet again another interruption. I used to have Verizon never had any problems. If another interruption occurs, I will cancel Comcast and revert back to cable. Considering opening up a mobile account with Xfinity? Just for kicks, try calling to find out if your local store has a particular phone in stock. Now, a logical person would think this is a no brainer. Just give them a call and ask them. Well, not for Xfinity! I was on hold for more than half an hour and talked to three different people. The conclusion: you can only find out if you go to the store in person! And, they won't mail a phone to your billing address. Only to your service address, even though the service reps will tell you otherwise. When you get done with service, they transfer to shipping, which will inform you they can only ship to your service address. By then, you will have wasted more than an hour on the phone. Now, that's customer service at its finest. If xfinity can't handle something as simple as telling you on the phone if their store has a phone in stock, do you really have confidence that they can provide acceptable customer service once you open an account? I'm disgusted with Comcast and they're level of service. I picked up 3 new HD boxes on 12-30-14 and I have not had a connection since. I have called numerous times - my call was disconnected while being transferred at least 4 times. I had a tech come to my home on 12-31 - he was not able to resolve the issue and I cannot get anyone else to come out until January 3rd. I have been pushed around enough by this company.
