The check-in system is riduculous. We went to return a box, and were greeted by a guy at the door who asked how he could help. We told him why we were there, and he took my husband's name. Then we waited. And waited. And waited. Thirty minutes later, his name was called, the employee confirmed our address, and handed us a receipt. That was it. After changing services within XFinity (un-bundling) the service was interrupted intermittently throughout each day of the following month. The Internet and home phone would both cut off and reset as many as 4 times a minute during the worst outages. I had contacted XFinity 8 different times within the month for service repairs and had in-home technician service twice. When the bill arrived for the month I complained that I did not have usage of the services so I should not pay for the documented month with service issues. Because I had called in 8 times, they offered 8 days of credit, less than $40 off my over $150 bill. It was stated I would have had to make a separate call to XFinity each day of the month, instead of calling in a new report every 3 -4 days as I did, to get credit for the month of non service. Each call to XFinity is a long process with extensive waiting on hold time, disconnections, etc, and time alone did not allow for daily calls. After many unsuccessful attempts to get management involved, we cancelled the home phone but unfortunately don't have other High speed Internet options in our area. XFinity seems to be disinterested in fair business practices and customer service. Simply terrible service. read more

I also wish I could give them less than one star. I had a horrifying experience with the technician who installed my wifi. I live in a studio, and was sitting on my bed watching a movie on my computer while he was working. After he was done, he came over and decided it was okay to SIT ON MY BED. He then said, "what's this?" and LIFTED MY BEDDING BACK to reveal my terrified cat. I immediately got up, which luckily sent him the message to as well. I was so uncomfortable and taken aback that I couldn't even call him out for his actions. Thankfully, he started to leave but not before he GRABBED my old AT&T modem saying, "I'll take this off your hands." I said no. Worst service ever. Unfortunately, it's the only main service in the area that offers internet/TV packages bundled. Basically, I'm complaining about the setup. The setup process is difficult, tedious and ridiculous. I'm a capable person who has set up and activated services in the past no problem, but they don't have TV manufacture codes readily available on their site like they say they do in the guide. I've had other issues as a customer with them in the past, but it would take me hours to go into detail about those. Basically, steer clear. She waiting nothing at 5:15 pm called and was told all good installer will be there. At 7 :20 call back and was told there was NEVER I APPOINTMENT MADE. After 30 more minutes on the phone. They said she never brought ID down to the office. Then they said she did put the person missed it. and never set up a appointment. After all this the told her she had to wait for another 5 days until the 23rd that next Tuesday. SO IF YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE CAN NOT BE OF A SERVICE. WHY HAVE IT. When you call Xfinity now they have people working from home. You can hear their children and dogs in the background. They often talk with their children or animals while they are on the phone with you. Which some of that is okay, but it gets irritating when you have to hear them talking with their children more then they talk with you. Or when they are yelling at them or the dog. More than that, it takes around 20 to 30 minutes to get anything done. I called to add HBO and the lady got my information and then said okay just a moment ma'am. I then only heard her children and a dog and her talking with them for the next 15 minutes. I finally let her know I needed to get off the phone and asked what was going on. She said, oh I'm sorry if I did not tell you, but I had to reach out to someone else and I'm waiting for them to get back with me. I then asked her if she could call me back with what I needed to do to get it activated. She said yes. It was 2 hours later and when she called she said she would have to connect me to talk with someone else. Someone's phone was cutting in and out so I was unable to complete the transaction. Now I have to try again today and will probably have to go through the same thing. Comcast/Xfinity needs to put their people through proper training and get them back in an office where they can talk with one another instead of trying to contact each other by phone and make the customers wait. read more

Hands down the worst service ever experienced. I will never hook Comcast in my home after all the problems I've experienced, and herd of through friends. However trying to save a dollar a member of my family has made the mistake. Her problems began at the hook up appointment when there stellar employee drilled several holes into her home. This was unnecessary as there was cable installed in every room when the house was built. He simply needed to find the main entry outside. But he ran the cable around the outside side of the home to each room. Drilling his way through the side of the home at each room. This looks horrible running around the home. Then he made weird entry points on the wall. Coming in halfway up the wall in the middle of the room. W.T.F. After that she has had nothing but problems with her equipment. Channels are unavailable that are in her package. The boxes need to be reset weekly. Signal is lost from time to time. When the problems happen its night so when she calls there routed to a foreign country, and it's very hard to understand India, and Mexico. Problems still persist today ten months of complaints, resets, and tech visits. Witch they replaced the cable running to the home, and equipment. However they are unwilling to let her out of her contract even though Comcast can't hold up there end of the deal. read more

Called ahead SPECIFICALLY to ask when I needed to return my rented devices for my year contract. They said within a few days of my contract end date. I took back my materials on 08/10 and my contract ended on 08/12. I did this because the 12th is a Sunday, so the office would be closed. 1st I had to argue with the "sales person " about obtaining the advertised pkg. Internet only. She was intent on selling me a pkg 45 more expensive than the advertised pkg. Finally I asked if it was available or if this was bait and switch and she found it. Then she said I needed a router when I actually needed a modem. I found this out when my promised free, billed 60.00 installation happened. And a 11.99 plus tax fee for the modern I didn't have for the time until I get my modem as long as it's less than a month. By the by, she asked me if I had the router with me knowing I was calling from my car. Now don't we all travel with a router in our vehicle? !! I asked for auto pay. I was signed up for "eco pay", paperless billing which she took my card # for. Auto pay gives a 5.00 discount on the next bill received. Side note here. If I interrupted her she would start over reading from her script, as though she only got paid when she finished the script. So I get an eco bill, and while I prefer paperless billing it contained both the surprise of being early by 10 days of the date given to me but also 65.00 plus tax more than I expected. Silly me I contacted the online help where they not only didn't help me but referred me back to the excruciating original phone bank. So I will contact the AG and look for a new provider because if a company only takes care of the high paying customers they either are in it for the quick buck, so they won't stay around or they just don't care about lost business. Either way they aren't for me. When will companies come to realize that the new service worth it's weight is customer service. Thank goodness I didn't sign up for tv service. This is a disgusting company all the way around! My dad passed away seven years ago and we have tried several times to change this and put it in my moms name. Each time they say they've done it but nope! Then we purchased a series and it wouldn't play so we called for help (bet ur ass it was put on the bill right away) and wouldn't help us due to it being in my dads name!!!!!! Wtf? I was charged for HIGH SPEED internet for almost 2 years when it was discovered I was NOT getting high speed, so they made ME pay $60.00 to have a guy come out and FIX THEIR STUFF ON THEIR POLE OUTSIDE MY HOME so that i WOULD get the high speed i had been paying for for almost 2 years AND THEY NEVER GAVE ME NOT ONE PENNY IN RECOMPENSE. My internet will be out all day and they refuse to give me a credit. Not once in the past 10 years have they given me a credit for my internet being down, even when it was their fault, or when they were BLATANTLY CHEATING ME out of a service i was paying for. When I call for service I end up using at least 90 minutes of my cell phone time to try and get things straightened out. They are RIDICULOUS. read more

Worst cable company EVER. I am stuck with them because of the local monopoly they have over our cable services. I pay about the same for my services as I do for my house payment and half the time they aren't even working properly and no one can ever figure out why. I am constantly having to call and complain and get credits on my account because of outages. They tried telling me that we had a past due bill so we couldn't order the Mayweather/Pacquaio fight and I had to correct them because we did not have a past due bill and I had a confirmation number plus the proof that the bill had come out of our bank account. After I corrected them on that they claimed I couldn't get the fight because there was an outage in my area. Yesterday I was able to get a $90 credit (after being on the phone with them multiple times the night before for 4 hours and constantly being disconnected). At first they only offered a $20 credit which wasn't anywhere near enough to compensate for us not being able to use our pay-per-view services and for our 4 hours of wasted time being disconnected multiple times. Every time I try to call to get a smaller, cheaper bundle I get disconnected and am unable to lower my bill due to this. Now this morning they disconnected our services and tried saying we haven't paid our bill! This is the same bill that I had to argue with numerous people about on Saturday night while trying to get the fight and just when I think it's all figured out.....bam, these morons disconnect my cable right in the middle of a recording. Now that it is back on I have to wait until billing opens to call them and figure it all out in order to keep my services on and get yet ANOTHER credit. And on top of that I am not able to record anything on my DVR now that it is back on! The only reason I haven't went to direct tv or dish network is because they require a contract and I am scared to death of being stuck with another shitty company that is just as bad as comcast for the next 2 years.
