But even if you try to save some cash by canceling the monitoring you apparently can't use any of it on its own. Such a fricken scam. Even if you change your mind if it's not within less than a week you're screwed. I called not a week past the date and they wouldn't do anything. Save some money and get a RING camera. So in theory anyone is capable of coming in and calling them and overriding the security system. The second issue is their equipment eats batteries at a very high rate so batteries are being replaced a couple times a year. Every time batteries need to be replaced it is a phone call and very time process. All in all I do not recommend EPS as there are much better systems out there for same amount of money or less with much better customer service.
