***** I WROTE THIS ON JUNE 2nd**** after these morons emailed me a request to complete a survey on how my last conversation went. But it just got EVEN BETTER !!! I don't know where exactly to begin to explain why? I called in to move my services, the representative talked me out of my original request which was to have a technician come out to make sure that everything was set up correctly. I was very aware about the $60.00 fee for that service. However, XFINITY'S representative steered me in the wrong direction by saying "all you have to do is plug in your box's and you will be back up and running." NOT THE CASE! It gets better, I promise... I opened my app on the day of the move to see if there would be any updates. Instead, I was promoted to a screen that told me I no longer have an account. WHAT? I called in right away. This representative told me that the account is still active and that "Xfinity is open 24/7 for technical support. Once you plug everything in to give us a call and we will assist you in setting everything up." Fast forward to later that evening. We plug everything in, call Xfinity, got transferred to the wrong department, got put on hold for 20+ min, then wait for it... got hung up on. NO ONE CALLED BACK. WHAT? WHAT KIND OF CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THAT? Terrible, foul, unacceptable, and beyond disturbing. Being that we had just spent the entire day moving, which is stressful in itself, having your cable set up to be able to sit on the couch and relax would be prime. But instead I had to call back, I, ME, NOT YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT. WHAT? So, I called back. I got a really nice and accommodating representative on the phone who did everything she could to help. Unfortunately, she was unsuccessful and got me transferred to her peachy supervisor, Dora. If that is what Xfinity's supervisors standards are for hiring a rude, disrespectful, abrasive, incompetent, aggressive, miserable, uneducated individual. I honestly am even more disturbed to be a customer that contributes to the salary of such an awful person. I was told by Dora, who might I add did not explore a single thing or option for me, that "her supervisor Joel, would reach out to me tomorrow and that the soonest a tech could come out on Thursday. IT WAS FRIDAY EVENING. WHAT? Even though I repeatedly made it very clear that is unacceptable and I needed someone out here toady, Saturday. It is 3:30 in the afternoon now and I would say that I am surprised, but that would be a lie considering how awful your staff is, still no call. WHAT? Coming from a business owner who deals with customers and customer service issues daily, I am appalled at the way this situation or should I say disaster was approached and has been left untouched, STILL. Not to mention the previous experience I also had the last time I moved (which I paid for the tech to come out for). Every single one of my PURCHASED items were not on my DVR - countless phone calls, transfers (to other unprofessional "supervisors") one of which told me verbatim "You will have to re-purchase all the movies and shows again as there is no way for us to retrieve that information.) WHAT? Who ever was on the phone with me for that conversation whoever that incompetent employee was, I read all the email receipts of each purchase. In other words, I would have had to spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars again. WHAT? I can sit here for hours and go into how awful my last moves have been. To rap this up based on the fact that its extremely exhausting to say the very least... the "should be terminated supervisor" Dora, was a disgrace to the company. We still do not have a resolution. Dora took it upon herself to set an appointment for Thursday the 7th of June between 1-3 pm. There was no confirmation, no communication, no one even asked if that time frame worked for us. WHAT? So, basically a tech would have showed up to my house when we were not home and the problem would still exist, except then we would have to reschedule a tech for an even later date. Luckily, we called in again, got a fabulous rep on the phone by the name of Ferris. He tried everything he could, but again unsuccessful. He went above and beyond for us. Rescheduled the tech to an earlier date with a time that works for us. He deserves to be a supervisor and more of Xfinity's CSR's should be trained that way. read more
