We went for the Steampunk Room and had an extremely exciting adventure! It was 4 adults and 3 kids, and we all had an amazing time- we went down to 4 seconds, but managed to "escape"! If you love puzzles, you will love this place! I never knew a place like this even existed. Explaining it didn't make sense to me, but I would most definitely say it's something to experience to understand. And plus it's in Mesquite! Been there twice already and both times walked out with our minds blown. First time did the Game Over one with one other person and the second time did the Captian Sulley with a group of 5. Don't want to give too much away, but I would suggest going with group because there will be a lot to do, and more people=more brains working together. Plus everyone will be able to participate in some way. But definitely something to check out! read more

My boyfriend and I are in love with escape rooms and we heard about xscape adventure from a friend and decided to try it out. We were definitely impress and have to say this is our favorite. Brought my family to Xcape Adventures to experience the Steampunk room, and I have to say this was one of the best rooms I have ever seen. The decor was fantastic and there were plenty of clues so that everyone could contribute. We enjoyed it so much, we booked Captain Scully later in the same day. Captain Scully was even better! The only negative was that both of these rooms were dimly lit and some of the clues were hard to see, but they let us use our phones as flashlights so it wasn't a problem. Highly recommend. Can't wait to go again. read more

Make the drive out to Mesquite for these rooms! We've done two rooms at this location, and are only waiting to do the rest because I don't want the experience to end. The owner has created all of these rooms himself with a whole lot of love, thought, and technology-- which means each time we've done a room we leave with huge smiles thinking about all the surprises and unique puzzles in them. The puzzles are also logical and fit perfectly with the theme of the room. read more

I have been to at least 3 other escape rooms in the DFW region and this is by far the best. We have done all 4 rooms and can't wait to do the newest room. These are not just locks with numbers like most other escape rooms. Xcape has more practical locks and rooms and puzzles that make it more challenging and fun! Great place! Highly would recommend. Very friendly staff as well. Don't just give you clues to make sure you finish but let you work through the puzzle. read more

We took my wife's friend to do one of the panic rooms for her birthday. You get a hour to get out. I got into it. It was a cool experience. It's fun with like 6 people, which is what we had. You get a hour to get out it goes quick so don't get too comfortable. I want to try a different room since I know how to get out of the one. They got like 4 or 5 rooms I think I'm going back for sure it was dope. read more

My wife and I with our 2 seventeen year old sons completed the Dr. Gene Etics room with 3 1/2 minutes left. IT WAS A BLAST!! It was a fun and challenging adventure with a great story line; not just a bunch of disconnected puzzles. Lots of surprises! We needed a little help to get through but they were right there the whole time through cameras and speakers IF we needed help. We will be going back to try other rooms in the future!! read more

Amazing staff, very nice welcoming and helpful. Took my daughter and a few of her teenage friends there for her birthday they had the BEST time, when it was time for them to leave they wanted to go back in. The staff was absolutely AMAZING!!! My first escape room experience and it was a thrilling one. I chose Captain Skully room for my birthday celebration with seven of my girlfriends. We used all three of our clues & didn't escape in time. The room was well put together & our problem solving skills were put to use. One friend who has gone to a different DFW room mentioned Xcape Adventures was better and the clues made sense. I will recommend this location & return in the near future. read more

What a great, fun place! I went with my husband, my sister, my cousin and her husband. We did the Captain Skully room and had a blast. We'd done a couple of escape rooms before but we all agreed that this one was our favorite by far! The room was full of clever hints and puzzles to solve, and definitely required a lot of thinking and teamwork. With the help of our 3 allotted clues, we solved the room with 7 minutes to spare. The room had something for everyone to work on at once, and it was full of unexpected surprises. It was clear that the owners are passionate about their place and really want their customers to have a great experience. They were super friendly and welcoming. This place is very unique. We really didn't know what to expect or how it worked. The staff was super friendly and made us feel very comfortable. We have since returned to experience the 2nd room recently added and enjoyed our 2nd visit just as much as the first. It was a true adventure!! We are telling everyone we know about this place. Went there yesterday with our work staff for our Christmas get together. It was SO much fun. I don't think it was going to be that much fun but I'm glad we did it. We did the pixels room and we completed it with 16 minutes left. We worked really well together and completed all the puzzles. Definitely a must do. The staff was great. read more

THIS PLACE IS SO MUCH FUN! We did the 'Steampunk' room back in October for our son's 17th birthday - definitely a hit with that age group! We loved it so much, that we went back last night with 3 other couples on a 'date night' for the 'Captain Skully' room! The puzzles are intriguing - but not hard - and once we get rolling, it's hard not to go full steam ahead! No spoilers here, but this room was definitely worth it. It's great that they charge by the room and not by the guest! Our first time friends are now hooked, too and asking when we are going back (which will be soon). Friendly staff, easy-access location, excited they are expanding. read more

Highly recommend this escape room. We've done a few escape rooms and this one is easily among the best I've done. We did the pirate one and I believe I'm not giving anything away by suggesting that the clues are quite interesting and solvable ...definitely do collaborate extensively and go as a big group (more eyes!) if possible. Its a family-owned business and the owners/managers obviously love what they do and some of the artifacts in the other rooms (we got a tour) are deliciously quirky and quaint! We are definitely gonna be back to check out the other rooms. read more

Went there with a team of 4 co-workers and did the Dr. Gene Etics room. At first it didn't look like much, but it turned out to have more surprises then we expected! The clues won't be that obvious to kids under high school age. Adults (us) sometimes over think the clues, but if you get into the groove it will all started to make sense. This was our first experience with an escape room and this one didn't disappoint! Will definitely go back and try one of the other rooms! read more

A great place to have fun... We have a couple night's out with 3 couples and found this place... It was at a perfect group price... so we tried and loved it!! We tried Steam punk first then came back weeks later and tried Space encounters..... We had tons of fun. OMG! This was so much fun! My family went on Saturday morning and booked the Captain Skully adventure. All adults and one young teenager. We had so much fun!! The hour flew by and we all pitched in solving the puzzles to get ourselves out of the room. I'm proud to say we solved everything and set ourselves free. The staff was super friendly and helpful, so we plan to come back and tackle the other rooms. This family says YES! read more

This was so much fun. We did "Contagious," which is their hardest one, and we did not escape (although we were very close). We needed some help from the control room at times, being that it was two adults and four teenage boys, but Excape was very accommodating. The only thing I really didn't like was they locked one of our players in a chamber, which was not communicated ahead of time. I purposely did not choose other companies who did this because it was a birthday party and I wanted full participation from everyone the entire time. He was still playing and able to help from inside, but his role was limited and he ended up sitting in that chamber for 25 minutes (sometimes just playing on his phone), because we couldn't figure out how to get him out. We would have chosen a different adventure had I known this. We also had put in combinations to several locks and traps that didn't work the first two or three times, but did end up working later once we contacted the control room. This was frustrating and cost us time. But I'm still giving the experience five stars, because we had a blast. Would totally do it again. read more

I've been to 2 different "Escape the Room" games here, and I had a great time at both. My favorite is the video game themed room; the puzzles and mechanical contraptions in the room are particularly clever and elaborately designed. It was just hard enough to keep us challenged without being impossible. On the other hand, the Steampunk room was a let down. The puzzles and physical design of the Steampunk game were far too easy and simple. We escaped with plenty of time to spare and didn't feel like we got much of a challenge... the puzzles were a bit boring and not as well-designed. The acting and "plot" aspect of the Steampunk room were also cringeworthy and cheesy. 5 stars for the Video Game themed room and 1 stars for the Steampunk room. 4 stars for the overall experience, though, since my friends and I had a good time overall. Hope they come out with more challenging puzzles and rooms (with lower success rates / harder games) in order to keep us coming back and on our toes! read more

This is a great, family-run business very deserving of your support! This is one of the few escape rooms that allows you to book the entire room (max parties of 8), so you don't have to share the room with strangers. The puzzles were elaborate, with secret doors leading to NEW ROOMS! The escape room was exciting and challenging (and we escaped!). A great outing for a group of friends.
