We took our time and really enjoyed the luxury to just be. We saw turtles sunbathing, birds, a bobcat, and had a picnic on the boat ;-) It was a lovely experience. Charles took us to the river and picked us up. He is great; super cool guy and I can tell he knows his stuff! That made me feel confortable with canoeing. Looking forward to our next outing!

We were a crew of 4 flight attendants on a long layover in search of a day adventure. The Trinity River did not disappoint. The water level was high and a little swift at times which we enjoyed. Prepare to see many different birds and we had quite a few fish jump near our canoe. The water was just fine...we did not fear for our lives...the water was clean and what you would expect in a large city. Although you are in Dallas it seems more like a remote river out west at times. Please take heart in our review....we have traveled to every state in the country and tubed,whitewater rafted or gone canoeing in almost all of them if available. First, working with Steve was so easy and relaxed! As you can imagine, coordinating a kayak trip with Texas weather and multiple involved Girl Scouts posed a bit of a logistical nightmare but Steve was understanding all along the way! He was understanding when we dropped a few girls and added one back on and when weather canceled us the first few times he was very clear and quick with the communication. Second, Steve was incredibly informative and patient with our Girl Scouts. This was a group of girls ages 11-15 but most of our group fell into the 11-12 year old range. He kept the girls on task and made sure they were watching at the important parts without coming across as too tough. The girls LOVED the experience and I highly recommend Steve and Discover Kayak to Girl Scouts and new kayakers alike. Thanks again Steve!

Last weekend I entrusted him to teach two dear friends who ARE NOT great swimmers. One had had a hip replacement. He was so patient and accommodating. The ski was clean, had a great sound system, and came with added storage (a cooler secured on the back but we used it for cooler and storage) from the base model. We got a good and thorough run down on how to use the seadoo and basic safety before we set off. He stayed nearby and was available if we ever needed help while out on the lake. Reservations are required and you must sign a waiver form before participating in the activity. The waiver is good for one year! We came on Friday night and a great way to start the weekend! The owner is a great guy. He's very patient and provides great tips in how to position yourself to throw the axe. It's a lot harder than you think! He shares with us a game. Honestly, I wasn't interested in the game and wanted to throw axes, but my husband kept track for both of us. A timer was given so you'll know when your time is up. We made a reservation for an hour and it goes by quickly. If you're looking for a team bonding experience, then look no further! This is a great place!

Seriously could not have had a better time my first time on a trail ride. Ok, maybe I'm a little…read morebiased since my boyfriend proposed to me here! ;) The owner of Broken Bow worked behind the scenes with my boyfriend to arrange a private trail ride when they normally only offer a group experience. Two guides took us out (since I was really nervous and requested my own personal guide haha) and could not have been nicer. They made small talk with us about the area, the state, and the weather all while they took us to the top of a hill where they stopped for a photo op. First we took one on our horses, then they asked if we wanted to get off and take a picture to which I promptly replied NO! I was not getting off that horse until the ride was over. When I turned my head the guides and my boyfriend must have come up with some quick plan to get me off the horse with some persuasion and assistance which set the perfect stage for a proposal at sunset. They took pictures of the proposal and were just as excited as we were about the entire experience. Two really friendly guys and a wonderful establishment that went above and beyond to set the stage for a perfectly romantic proposal. Can't wait to go back again!!
