Needless to say, I was not there for the start of my 2-hour window. I did call them to explain and, they held my jet ski in spite of several people actively trying to rent in our absence. My 2-hours turned into 1.25 hrs, through no fault of theirs and they got as briefed and out for an amazing time on the lake. The guys were pretty cool & I would absolutely rent from them again!

We wanted to do something fun with the kids. We originally planned to rent from another business…read morebut they didn't do rentals because of the lake flooding. They recommended we try Sam's Dock. The hours of the business say they close at 8 pm. No where on their site or at their location do they state the last rental was at 6 pm. We arrived at 6:02 and the woman wouldn't rent a jet ski to us. It was disappointing for the kids but we decided to return the next day. We arrived with plenty of time to rent a jet ski. There were 5 of us but it turns out we can't rent a jet ski for 3. Because of this, we didn't want to leave one child alone at the dock so we opted to rent one jet ski and my husband took the kids out to the lake one at a time. We sat at the restaurant, which was closed, in between the kids' turns. The minimum rental is 2 hours on the jet skis and you have to pay for gas on top of the rental fee. This was a surprise to us. We ended up having to pay an extra $50+ for the gas for 2 hours. Just be aware of that. This side of the lake there wasn't any parking fee so that was good. I think they provided us with a military discount, which was great. My husband mentioned the young man didn't know how to use the point of sale computers either. It took at least 30 minutes to check in and pay before getting on the jet ski so make sure to factor in that your timing.

So they give us some pontoon boat that is in horrible shape literally falling apart and in disrepair. It had dozens of big cockroaches come out of the well, the fender was literally falling off of it and needing screwed back in. Also there were very dangerous screws hanging off it that someone could have easily ended up in the hospital over. What's worse is the young dark haired kid that receives the boats back in was rude and when we wanted to bring up these safety issues when returning the boat not only did not care to listen was rude and walked off while trying to explain the safety issues on the boat we had rented. Simply did not care About safety of their future guests. Did not have the time or customer service skills and did not take the safety seriously literally walked off while we were trying to explain the issues with the boat. Because of that last one. The safety issue, and because of the roach infestation, we cannot recommend this boat rental or marina. Roach infestations And lack of focus on safety are both showstoppers.

When I explained to her that was no where listed on my certificate she told me that were just her rules set out by the company. When I asked how I could contact "the company" she responded by saying that she was the sole owner of the company. She was extremely rude and finally when she attempted to accommodate to my needs she told me that they were completely booked, however, in the beginning of our conversation she told me that she had full availability for the day I was inquiring about.

We couldnt find where Norma had parked her car to meet her, which is where she runs the "Business", and once we did we were told they were experiencing mechanical problems and we would be delayed 2 hours but promissed we would get our full reserved time. OK. Well the 2 hours came and went, and she could only produce 1 jet ski because the previous renter didnt understand they only had the jet ski for an hour, or so we were told. That meant while my husband took my 2 kids out on 1 jet ski, I was left on the shore while they played. Isnt that good quality fun for the whole family! Sometimes, companies are on Groupon for so cheap simply because thats the only way they can get business. Buyer beware.
