I'm pregnant so anything that makes my life easier is greatly appreciated. I was able to schedule online a few days out. The mechanic showed up on time and texted me in advance of arrival. I wasn't feeling well so my husband gave him my keys and the job was completed within a reasonable time. Overall it was more expensive than my usual but worth it for the hassle free service.

His prices are higher than bigger stores. Just to repair a puncture will run you about $25-30 depending on the size of the tire. TWO stars just for being able to do the standard work. It appears that his ability provide good consistent service has spiraled downward, after looking at his reviews. It looks to have started 3 years ago. You'll notice that's when all the bad reviews started. Maybe he had something happen to him. I dunno, maybe his family left him for being a culo. His Spanish accent is pretty thick, so I just naturally started speaking Spanish to him. Apparently, that was not met with enthusiasm. He asked me to stop speaking Spanish to him because it "felt rascist." Being on the receiving end of racism many times throughout my life, I didn't take this too kindly. I told him that was a little extreme. But he doubled down and said it FELT that way to him. I would've understood if I had called him a mojado or border jumper, but nothing of that nature occurred. I've never been called rascist by my own people, so this was kind of like being blindsided. And I'm not going to take that. I wasn't really sure what kinda logic he was working off. So, to my ears, he wasn't able to articulate what he truly meant. So, it's not I sir, that had trouble speaking your language, it's you whom has trouble speaking mine. It's a small place but seems quite equipped to manage a lot of car issues, and the gentleman who did my inspection that day (Charlie) was the sole person doing them, so he was cranking through a list of folks. They put your name on the clipboard when you arrive and just go straight down that list. I'd called beforehand to confirm their hours and theyd advised to come early so I came around 9a or so. I think the wait was about 15-20 mins? Really wasn't bad, I just fiddled with my phone and sat in my car. The actual inspection was also pretty fast, like 10 mins or maybe even a bit less. I appreciated the efficiency. Of note they do charge a 3% credit card fee. A lot of places do that nowadays, but that was really the only "surprise." They also offer a basic inspection ($12, basics to renew car reg) or a more thorough one for $18 where they check your wipers and lights etc.
