The lady who helped me was so nice & friendly, I felt like I made a friend. It was the best experience I've ever had at a government service bldg. Came here without an appointment because the online scheduler wasn't working for me. I arrived at…read more7:50am and walked in. There was a line to kiosks that I used to schedule an appointment. What was amazing was that same-day appointments were released right as I was working on the kiosk, and I was able to snag an 8:20am appointment slot! A ticket was printed out with my confirmation number. I grabbed a paper application to renew my license and used one of their pens to fill it out. Only 1 out of 3 pens were working, so I recommend bringing your own pen. At around 8:15am, my number was called and I went to my assigned counter number. I showed them my driver's license and my passport card to prove my citizenship. The person at the window walked me through all that I needed to do. I paid the $33 fee using a credit card. All-in-all, I was at the counter for about 5 minutes before the process was finished. A temporary paper permit was issued to me, and I was told my new driver's license would be mailed to me in 2-3 weeks. There's ample parking available at this location, right off of HWY 183, and quite a bit of tree shade, at least in the morning. I plan to return here the next time I need to get my license renewed in person!

Trusting that our appointment was firm I proceeded to drive to the place of signing only to be texted by the notary that she wanted to move the appointment to 330 the same day. I was a good sport and said no problem and drove home from our meeting place. Approximately 2:05 PM she texted me and said ETA 10 minutes. I texted her back told her I do not live at that location and I would meet her at 2:30. She did not reply. I quickly got myself together drove back to the location again went to the second floor put my 85 year-old mother in a wheelchair, since she is the one signing, took her downstairs to a library and waited for the notary. I texted her are you coming and she said you must've misunderstood me. I said 330. I showed her the text via image that said ETA 10 minutes, she told me that that text was for someone else. I literally had to sit in that library with my disabled mother until 4 o'clock when this notary finally arrived. This was very hard for my mother and very irritating for myself. I had two witnesses standing by that left, and I had to use two strangers to be witnesses for my signing of my legal document. I had another notary I could have used and I regret not using her. This woman was very inconsiderate by not honoring our meeting time and then sending me text messages that were intended for someone else. She literally put another signing at the same time as mine and pushed me aside, she let me know at the last minute, and left me sitting with a disabled 85 year-old woman for two hours in a library. I do not recommend this person. I'm giving her two stars instead of one because she did adequately notarize my documents. She charged me $200.

The area feels up-and-coming, with small shopping centers popping up, but fair warning: people drive like they're running from Satan. Like they're late for something, so if you're heading north turning into the complex, expect to miss the entrance and loop back. The entrance is NOT obvious. Look near Home Depot. Plenty of parking once you get there. Inside, the office is quiet, clean, and calm, with a reasonable number of people handling various tax and registration business. You check in at a kiosk and get your place in line via text. ***Important note for voters***: there is no kiosk option for voter registration or voter info updates. Don't select "registration." You'll be waiting forever behind people needing BIG THINGS . Instead, grab a voter registration form, fill it out, and then walk straight up to the counter to turn it in. No line. No wait. Don't be scared to do it, either. I only figured this out by selecting "information only" the second time back up to the kiosk and the info lady THEN told me this. There's zero signage explaining any of this, so I would like to save people a lot of time. Once I did it the right way, I was in and out quickly. I went during my lunch break and made it home in time to clock back in. Mission accomplished. Easy visit, efficient staff, and lots of parking. Just wish the voter registration process was explained better upfront.

This was on a Tuesday afternoon, in the middle of the day. Karen is the one who helped us. She was super calm, friendly, and patient. Gave us the papers we needed to fill out, we gave her the papers she needed, and maybe 20-25 min later we were all set. She even asked us some more personal questions to lighten the mood, and upon leaving I had a few unrelated questions to ask her (about a title transfer but for a different vehicle I had), and she happily answered everything and even gave me a little print out of what the estimated taxes might cost.
