I understand people wanting to make money for their time and the notary business can be a good hustle but I refuse to pay $60 for a one page affidavit to verify my ID when UPS charges me $6. The quote for $60 was by far the first most outrageous I've encountered in America! Should consider revisiting your charging/pricing fees. Update: And it's sad that I asked for a quote without specifying the time in which I needed it. Even more disappointing that this notary would identify me as a foreigner based off of the statement of me recently relocating to the Austin region and having visited other states (IN AMERICA). We made an appointment for 2 o'clock the next day, which was today. Trusting that our appointment was firm I proceeded to drive to the place of signing only to be texted by the notary that she wanted to move the appointment to 330 the same day. I was a good sport and said no problem and drove home from our meeting place. Approximately 2:05 PM she texted me and said ETA 10 minutes. I texted her back told her I do not live at that location and I would meet her at 2:30. She did not reply. I quickly got myself together drove back to the location again went to the second floor put my 85 year-old mother in a wheelchair, since she is the one signing, took her downstairs to a library and waited for the notary. I texted her are you coming and she said you must've misunderstood me. I said 330. I showed her the text via image that said ETA 10 minutes, she told me that that text was for someone else. I literally had to sit in that library with my disabled mother until 4 o'clock when this notary finally arrived. This was very hard for my mother and very irritating for myself. I had two witnesses standing by that left, and I had to use two strangers to be witnesses for my signing of my legal document. I had another notary I could have used and I regret not using her. This woman was very inconsiderate by not honoring our meeting time and then sending me text messages that were intended for someone else. She literally put another signing at the same time as mine and pushed me aside, she let me know at the last minute, and left me sitting with a disabled 85 year-old woman for two hours in a library. I do not recommend this person. I'm giving her two stars instead of one because she did adequately notarize my documents. She charged me $200.
