ALL employees were professional and courteous throughout the entire process. I checked in around 9:05am and was called to the service desk within 10 minutes. The entire process took between 30-40 minutes. In my case, it took a little extra time because I had a special situation. I won't get into the details, but it wasn't a business as usual gift transfer. Plus I didn't have the 2 required forms filled out prior to checking in. The gift form had to be notarized and Centex Auto Title was able to provide that service on the spot. Perfecto!!! If you want an effortless experience. This is the place to go. Just make sure you read over all the requirements on their website prior to going. Walk-ins are welcomed!

0 STARS. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING Experience with Auto PI in Austin…read more I would strongly caution anyone considering using Auto PI in Austin for a pre-purchase vehicle inspection. We hired this company specifically because we wanted an independent professional to inspect a vehicle before purchasing it and identify any major issues that could make it a bad investment. We trusted their expertise to help us make an informed decision, and that trust has cost us dearly. We recently purchased a vehicle through Facebook Marketplace and paid Auto PI to perform a pre-purchase inspection. Despite hiring them for the very purpose of identifying serious problems before we committed to buying the car, the inspection failed to identify a bent frame. After purchasing the vehicle, we discovered the issue, and our mechanic told us the car was essentially totaled. We paid for a professional inspection because we are not mechanics and needed someone with the expertise to identify potentially catastrophic problems. A bent frame is not a minor cosmetic issue or a small repair that we could simply overlook. It is a serious structural concern that can affect the vehicle's safety and value. Had this issue been identified during the inspection, we would have had the opportunity to walk away from the purchase instead of being left with a potentially worthless vehicle and a substantial financial loss. What makes this especially frustrating is that we did exactly what consumers are advised to do: we paid for a pre-purchase inspection before buying a used vehicle. We relied on the service we paid for to help protect us from precisely this kind of situation. We understand that no inspection can uncover every possible problem. However, missing a bent frame on a vehicle you have been hired to inspect is an extremely serious failure in a service that consumers rely on to make major financial decisions. It says on their website: "Our pros are frame and body specialists ensuring every inch of your vehicle is thoroughly checked." This is clearly not the case, as the frame was completely overlooked in our inspection. And we have the records to prove this. We are deeply disappointed in the service we received and believe this experience raises serious questions about the thoroughness and value of the inspection we paid for. We intend to pursue this matter with the company and seek an appropriate resolution. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend Auto PI. We paid for peace of mind and protection against a bad purchase, and instead we are dealing with the consequences of a major structural defect that their inspection did not identify. This has been an incredibly frustrating and costly experience, and I would hate for another buyer to go through.

My husband and I both use them, and they've taken great care of our vehicles. Let's talk about Maggie, the office manager. She's basically the Beyoncé of front desks...professional, efficient, and somehow remembers everyone's name and car woes like a sorceress with a clipboard. She deserves a tiara. The team gets you in and out pretty quickly, but not in the rushed, "don't let the door hit you" way...more like, "we know your time is valuable and we respect that" energy. They explain things clearly, never talk down to you, and--bless them--charge fair prices without making you feel like you're trading an oil change for a second mortgage. Best part? They treat me and my husband exactly the same. No weird condescension, no "let me explain this to the little lady" vibes. Just solid and respectful service every time. That's rarer than an honest check engine light. Highly recommend. Ten out of ten wrenches.
