Hangar Lane

This trip we decided to stay outside of London. We had looked at our favorite neighborhoods and…read morefound them to be very expensive. Bookings.com suggested the Fox and Goose in Ealing. Never thought of staying outside of Zone 1 and 2 before. I have to admit it was the photos of the breakfast that nudged me towards this cute hotel in Zone 3. It was easy to book and the price was incredibly reasonable factoring in the full breakfast with buffet. Each room comes with complimentary water (still and fizzy) in a nice fridge. The rooms were a nice size, this isn't the States so I found the size comfortable. Having a pub attached to the hotel was nice. Sometimes it was easier to eat in and have a pint at the pleasant patio. I found the food to be very good and the staff were very helpful and friendly. WiFi was very good. The location was the only thing we would reconsider. We did spend a lot of time on the train. But the underground station, Hanger Lane was a 7 minute walk. Small things were strange to me (being from the States) . Light switches were confusing, the bedding was heavy but clean and crisp. But we knew the we'd be on the train more but it's all small potatoes compared to the quality and comfort for your USD! I'll be back.

Actually, this pub was actually pretty cool, though it was quite a bit of a hike from the nearest…read morerailway station (a hike I had to make a second time to get back). In a way it sort of reminded me of the pubs that you tend to find in Australia, but I suspect because it has actually been around for much longer that a lot of the buildings that turned up here. The service was okay, but the beer garden was huge, something you tend not to come across all that often.

We watched the fireworks at Wembley every night! It also had Domino's and Subway. We ate at the hotel restaurant almost every day. The meals were big enough to split and were great! Try the fish and chips. We did have one day when the regular chef was gone, and the food was not as good. The staff was amazing. They helped us find great places to go to and were so nice!! They went out of their way to make sure we had a good stay. Johnny was the best! I gave it 4 out of 5 because we did have problems with the air conditioning. They were able to fix it, but it broke again. They would have moved us if they had space (thanks to Harry Styles playing at Wembley, there weren't any openings). They did offer fans and tried their best to make us comfortable. The rooms are not new, but they are not bad. If you opened the window, the road below was noisy. I would recommend staying there for everyone. I hope to go back there on my next trip.

Overall impression of the hotel is that it is clean and fresh. When we walked it to the lobby,…read morethere were spa water and some fresh fruits. As a IHG Platinum member, we were upgraded to the executive room on the 7th floor. Checking in to hotel was quick although service was pretty aloof. Our hotel room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the pillows were soft and fluffy and bathroom was decent size. Has all the amenities needed and luggage storage downstairs if you need to leave your bags. The hotel also has a mini gym which had a few machines and hand weights available. Pricing wise, it was affordable for London. The hotel location is close to the Central Line West Eaton as well as the Elizabeth line which goes to Heathrow airport. It's right next to a Tesco express as well as an Asian supermarket.

Well we visited yesterday and had a very pleasurable experience. Just arriving in London from 12…read morehrs of travelling we were tired and hungry. We found the arch by chance and were greeted warmly by bartender. Had a nice selection of beers on draft & bottles. The menu Is mainly Indian but suited us. We shared 2 super tasty dishes of chicken Korma & Lamb Bhuna with rice and Garlic Naan bread. Each dish was served in old Indian style dishes and full of flavor & a lovely heat. The naan had lovely chunks of garlic and melted butter on it. We had 4 drinks the 2 dinners with 2 sides and came to €40. The bar was clean as were the bathrooms. So I would def visit again if back in the area. Keep up the good work!!..:))

After struggling to find some food in the LDO and surrounding areas in Wembley on event day, ahead of watching City beat Spurs 3-1, I decided to call in here and it really was something I'd instantly regret. The whole decor was cheap and basic, it felt more like a cafe than a restaurant. The staff spoke really poor English, for example communicating regarding my allergies was difficult and they didn't even seem to know what gluten was, in the end, I offered for a plain chicken breast with mashed potato, which they recommended. I did have an issue straight away, with my tap water, the tap water was presented in the jug and had a hair in, after calling a member of staff to complain, I asked for more water but instead she come over and cleaned the table, after explaining again I was in a hairy situation and wanted the water to be replaced, she comes back and CLEANED THE TABLE AGAIN! with some sort of spray. It was only until after that she finally understood and replaced the water, this was so frustrating to have to go through something so disgusting and then the staff member expected me to carry on drinking the water and didn't understand the word replace. That was just the start. My meal was a huge let-down, it was presented sloppily which I certainly didn't expect for £12, the whole dish tasted like it has been frozen, it was bland, watery and had no flavour, which applied for both the chicken and the mashed potato, even mayo was unable to save or revive the dish, like the cheap, poor food quality the same could be said for the mayo which was a sloppy, watery, disgusting mess. Being an event day and only offering a limited menu alongside a buffet is no excuse for food being of that awful quality, and service being of that awful quality, to the point I'd even say the terrible nature and careless nature of the staff here, not understanding about gluten-free, or even being able to replace a water which I found a hair in, and then the food quality being so bad, I just couldn't eat it, I feel this is a huge let-down and is a place to AVOID AT ALL COSTS, in an area with so much choice, it would be best to wait somewhere else than come in here and eat awful food. I now understand why this place wasn't as busy as every other restaurant and fast food chain in the Wembley area on the day of my visit, and of course this place is going to be awarded a one-star rating, I'd probably even go as far to say if it was possible to give The Arch Wembley at The Holiday Inn, zero stars, I would!
