It's a small hotel but I think they did a good job of making me feel like I was at home. My room was also new and the bed was super comfy. I also recommend their maid service whom did a great job tidying up each day... Including folding my pajamas lol! They also have a restaurant downstairs with good food at decent prices. They mostly serve Italian food and I recommend the risotto. When my friend was sick they also was able to charge us for a banana we wanted. You also have the option to order room service, which I never do but recommend it here. One minor issue is that they have kind of spotty wifi. It's mostly good but there are some periods where it didn't really work. Again this was a non issue for me because I wasn't there on a business trip, but if this is important to you take note! Lastly, they also have a taxi service they call for you. I requested one from the hotel to gatwick for 75 pounds!! Way cheaper than an actual taxi and even uber sometimes. If I'm ever back in London, I will definitely pay to stay here again. It's around a 15-20 minute ride from central London. I'm not much for crowds so this was the perfect hotel for me.

The entrance to the hotel is awful and more aimed towards cars, it involves walking between barriers for cars which is frustrating and then going towards the entrance. The hotel lobby is okay, the staff seemed nice enough and even offered me a KitKat when I checked in, as well as water flavoured with various things including cucumber. I did have an issue on check-in, I was told you must present the original booking card you paid on, when you check in which wasn't made clear on the website, hence this was frustrating for me. Normally staying at Hilton hotels, I wasn't used to this but with the Hilton fully booked I had no choice but to stay at the Holiday Inn. My hotel room was quite small, it did have decent facilities such as a safe and TV with Freeview, the bedroom, however, was so small you could barely move in it, and it isn't a place you'd want to spend a long period of time in, luckily I was only staying for a night after watching Manchester City defeat Spurs 3-1 at Wembley, to go one win away from lifting the Premier League title. I can not comment on the hotel breakfast as I did not try it, but the whole scheme was confusing meaning you had to go to the reception desk to get a voucher to get it cheaper than going to the restaurant its-self, which is just hilarious, it makes no sense and just adds more time and inconvenience for the guest. The main reason I decided not to have breakfast here was that I prefer the Hilton nearby anyway, but the previous dining experience the day before had a huge influence where they served food at high-end prices which tasted cheap and the quality was so bad, I wouldn't even feed it to a dog! I also didn't like the lifts to the hotel, they were really small to the point you could barely fit a person with a suitcase in, or even a wheelchair, then to get on each corridor there was a large door which I didn't like either. My room also lacked a fridge, which was annoying as I didn't have a place to put things such as milk, the room was mostly quiet away from exterior noises such as an ice machine and lift, which have troubled me at other hotels but corridor noise late into the night still did trouble me, and slight noises from outside too however luckily these noises weren't as bad as I experienced back in December at Hampton by Hilton Newcastle, where I couldn't get any sleep at all. This is an awful hotel in a good location by Wembley, if you put this hotel in any other location I'd even go as far as to say it wouldn't survive and it is surviving on the basis of location alone, and it certainly isn't somewhere I'd stay again, due to the huge uncomfortability throughout various aspects of the hotel, even going down to the size of the room and uncomfortable bed, hence Holiday Inn London Wembley deserves a single one-star rating.

I ordered the same salad on two different days and not only was the presentation of the plated dish different but the ingredients were different as well. The manager assured me the dish was prepared correctly which (in my opinion) meant the first dish was prepared incorrectly. The manager shrugged it off with a "I don't know how it was prepared before". He then walked off with no further interest in assuring his customer was satisfied. On a different night I ordered fries covered in cheddar cheese and received fries with cheese on the side. Not sure what caused the miscommunication there, but in this circumstance they at least offered to correct the dish, and they got it right the second time.

I stayed here on a recent trip to Wembley as I watched Manchester City defeat Chelsea 2-0 to win the Community Shield, from the outside this probably looks like one of the better hotels in the area, alongside the Hilton Hotel (which tends to be the most popular and is often used by football teams and fans and sells out regularly), however inside it is less so. Inside, the reception area and lobby was pretty basic, it seemed a little cheap even down to the uniforms the staff were wearing, I even struggled to understand if a staff member was just a football fan hiding behind the desk or an employee at first. As I visited on a match-day the hotel had a presence of security outside who had to approve you going in and out, but this wasn't too troublesome. My room was a decent size however the decor was odd, it contrasted plain and then one wall was blue randomly, the whole decor didn't go well together, it looked like they started painting my room and run out of paint so left it, leaving a freaky mess behind. One of the biggest discomforts about the room was the air-conditioning, I had to turn it off as otherwise, it was far too noisy, luckily it was easy enough to turn off so it didn't cause problems which I've had at other hotels such as the nearby Holiday Inn London Wembley. Another problem was the bed in the hotel, I found it to be far too soft to the point it offered my back no support, and the pillows also were uncomfortable and didn't match the bed, one of them seemed slightly dirty and discoloured as well as uncomfortable. Having phoned reception to sort something out, they couldn't help and could only offer me more pillows. In terms of price, this hotel seemed like one of the cheaper hotels in the area apart from the IBIS, I paid £66.50 for one night, however, I did not get a twin room as I asked for, and the room was a tad too small for a sofa bed or anything else like that. The lifts also appeared to be slightly troublesome, you had to put your key in before you press the floor number and there wasn't enough room to do it, I did have a problem where my key appeared to wipe, and after going to reception and slowly getting a replacement, it appeared to be "erased" again in seconds despite not being near my phone as the receptionist suggested, therefore another problem with this hotel is the keys. The hotel also should do more to cancel noise, during the late evening it appeared to be really noisy outside even with the windows shut, and noise from the lobby also appeared to be a slight issue in the evening. I also found the room service menu to be a little basis, even before considering my gluten-free dietary requirements which was a shame too, the television was basically a reduced Freeview service however the TV guide appeared to be a little laggy and some channels didn't seem to work at all including Sky One! The television was also limited to a volume of 23 which I found to be a tad quiet too. I sadly feel the Novotel at Wembley sadly deserves the same rating as I gave the last Novotel I stayed in, which was around two years ago now in Paris. Due to the main issues with noise, decor and lack of comfort which resulted in me struggling to get a good nights sleep, the only good thing I can find out about the hotel is the location (which even then could be better signposted as I found the hotel hard to find because it was situated away from the others).

We bought tickets to see Oasis last year at Wembley Stadium. Not wanting to repeat the mistake we…read moremade when we saw the Cure at Malahide Castle, where we were compacted like sardines on the tram ride back to Dublin, I quickly found a room at a hotel that was walking distance from Wembley Stadium. I knew rooms would book fast, so I grabbed what I could see that was available. That turned out to be Wembley International Hotel. The hotel worked for what we needed to: it was a 10-minute walk to Wembley and back, provided us with a room for the night, and allowed us to avoid the two-hour delayed Tube ride back to London. Outside of that, I would never book this hotel under any other circumstances. The hotel doesn't allow for taxi service to come and go due to the gated entry. We took an Uber back to London, where we had to load our luggage from the street. Not the most convenient, but it was doable. The check-in process was as easy as the check-out process. The staff were at least helpful when we needed to double check the room for my wife's passport, which was still in the safe, fortunately. For what I spent on a room for the night, it was pricey (most likely due to Oasis playing at Wembley -- which is fair enough for having dynamic pricing). The lobby interior is fairly budget in presentation, very cheap in appearance, not warm and inviting to the eyes, which looks more like a loading station for buses. The bar looked like it was set up for riots with the bar behind clear plastic paneling. They do have a restaurant for dining, but we didn't bother given it's appearance and most likely lack of gluten-free options. The hallways were dingy and sketchy, with blue carpeting and doors separating the elevator area from the hotel room hallways on each floor. The room itself was doable because it had a bed and a bathroom, but this was no frills. The rooms have the feel of where you go for long-term stays when you're down on your luck, with not a permanent home to reside. The furniture was bare bones. We did have a spare pillow. But the feel of the hotel room didn't make us want to unpack much outside of toiletries and essentials. Nothing about the interior indicated this was a clean place to stay. It felt icky and sketchy. It worked for what we needed for essentials, but that was it. I wouldn't stay here again for enjoyment.
