Very reputable company. I would refer Ernie and his guards to any of my friends who need security for events or to watch properties.

X-Treme Security is a joke. There employees become independent contractors if you don't have the money to pay for their contract rate(s). Meaning if you don't know, you're getting screwed! Ernie has multiple employees here at J.V. City Hall and he told me (from my mouth to Gods ears) that the customer(s) couldn't afford his rate(s) so his customers are paying Ernie's employees direct cash to work for them. His employees said they make $12.50 an hour, o.t. after 8 and work 9+ days straight. So let's put this into perspective. All anyone has to do is tell Ernie they don't have the money for his full rate, but want to pay his employees directly. And you only pay $12.50 + o.t. If Ernie denies you, sue him for discrimination. Last year I would have rated them a five plus plus plus...Last year my kids waited in line for a venue and were front and center....there were drunk people threading my kids and they took care of it. They were amazing! Fast forward to this year. Same venue and same kids....they waited in line at 2:00, so they could be first in line. It was a concert venue, so they got right up close. They had a great view of the first band, but when the headliner came on....the security guard let his wife/girlfriend/niece/idk in front of the bars and in front on my kids. She stayed there, blocking their view. I confronted him and he told me that he had nothing to explain. I waited till the concert was over and spoke to the owner...he told me that he would take care of it. I am hoping that he does . I don't want him fired, but just to understand that what he did was wrong. It wasn't right to bring someone in to block the view of people who had been there since 2:00! read more

Wow-- where to begin.... the venue that was hosting my event hired X-treme Security. Their job was to secure the entrances and exits (3). They were not suppose to let the guests out (it was a high school event) nor let non guest in. I had interaction with 2 of the security personnel and they were terrible. One of my chaperons was stationed next to the security but the security was so busy talking the chaperon's ear off that he did not properly do his job. The chaperon asked me a few times to "save me" from this guy. Furthermore, this same guy let a DRUNK non-guest from the restaurant across the way enter our private event. The chaperon's table was located at the entrance and they got up and stopped him, who made a scene and insulted my chaperons before the security realized what happened and took care of the situation. This happened at the beginning of the night and so we were all on guard the rest of the night. Oh, to top it off, when I talked to the venue host about the situation, she said that she had told the security SPECIFICALLY at the beginning about this fellow. We were both upset that this could have happened especially because he EYED the security right before he entered. The second security guy was rude to my chaperon and was on his phone half the night. I kept having to chase the kids down who went into the parking lot. Due to liability issue, they are to stay the entire night and I was told by the venue that the security will be posted to ensure that no one enters or leave. Well, about half hour left, we had four kids rush out unhappy about the music playing. By the time i was able to talk the kids back into the lobby and walked away to talk to the DJ, I was told by my chaperon that the Xtreme Security guard who was suppose to be watching was telling the kids that they should have got in their car and drove off and was further aggravating and instigating the situation with the kids. As a result, I had to stand there with this guard to ensure that he doesn't aggravate the situation. I made sure to google (and went to Xtreme facebook page) to ensure this is the correct security company. I made note after the two incidents of the uniform and name of the company and made sure it matched before posting this review. The venue host was amazing and I do not want to give them a lower review based on the actions of an outside hired company. These guys are security guards who want to have an easy night and hang out (as one them actually noted). For an event with under aged kids, that's just irresponsible. read more

The staff from X-TREME Security at the Boots & Brew Country Western Festival could not have been more professional. I felt that if there was an emergency, we had the best possible coverage. This is probably the best security company I have seen. This weekend I attended the boots and brews festival in Ventura and there were a lot of drinks being poured. I attended both Saturday and Sunday and only seen one minor conflict that got handled in a matter of a minute. As soon as they seen something about to happen, they went and prevented the situation from escalating. No one got hurt and I felt secured. A great festival with great guards. This company is unhelpful, unethical, and unwilling to accept responsibility. I was harassed by a security guard on 3 seperate occasions when reporting it to the home office I was not given information to make a report to the state on this gentleman's conduct at the facility in question. The "ex-cop" (which just means he was as useless on the police force as he was in helping me) told me that the problem had been solved but the "guard" (again refused to give name or any form of identification saying he was) will remain at his post harassing whomever he pleases. He threatened my medical treatment and cussed at me but got off Scott free. This is not a company to be trusted or hired. If you have any questions ever regarding any security service please I encourage you to stand up for yourself and contact the department of consumer affairs and report companies/people like these. read more

Not sure why the other reviews are so bad, but I had a great experience with the X-treme Security team. I had an event in Downtown LA on Cinco De Mayo weekend and though they had so many events going on that day, they were still able to accommodate a 12 man team for the event. Everyone was professional and stuck with their assignments. The venue was also very impressed that they even asked me to provide their contact for future bookings. Will definitely be using them again for my other events. read more
