On 2/28/24 or area was the recipient of severe storms with embedded heavy hail and high winds. Just east of us a tornado touched down in mostly open farmland and did extensive damage. The roof Ron's Roofing installed on our home went through the storm unscathed according to the inspector who was here today. Neighbors who had roofs installed after ours have to have new roofs installed subsequent to this storm. We would recommend Ron's Roofing to anyone who asks for a recommendation.

It is March 13, 2026 and they were here again about 2 - 3 weeks ago to fix the soffits again and now with strong winds the large triangle at the peak of my house (Historic Committee said they had to put it up there) has come down. Hoping we don't get rain, because it will probably leak down my walls. My husband left a message, just waiting to see if they call back Monday. Someone from Roach came by today (March 14, 2026) and said that they would put the piece back up. Apparently the crew that put it up in 2023 used nails that was too small.

Two independent inspections were completed by Owens Corning and they determined that the workmanship completed by Tichenor Inc. / Battle Creek Roofing was so incompetent that the entire roof had to be re-roofed. During this process we discovered multiple installation errors that caused additional wood rot, including some sections which had never been nailed. Although Owens Corning is paying for the re-roofing, we have endured three years of damage to the inside of our home, countless hours of lost work, and additional expenses to resolve this issue. Heath Tichenor refused to re-roof when we requested, instead he blamed our roof, his crew, and global warming for the constant leaks. He was, at best condescending and unhelpful while trying to get this issue resolved. I cannot state strongly enough to avoid this contractor at all costs!

They came to the house and worked with me to get the roof done right away . In the end they were able to do the whole roof including replacing some boards as well . They were so easy and great to work with. I got a fantastic price and so I hired them to do the job. I have never regretted hiring them to do the job and they also took the time to completely replace all the gutters too. I recently was told by another company that I was in need of a new roof and probably some boards too. The guy said that I had black mold in my attic as well. The guy was from Top Home Improvements. I had went to the Senior Expo a couple of weeks ago and they had a both there so I signed up to get a quote and roof inspection. I would never ever use that company to do anything on my house ever! The guy outright lied to me and the pictures he said that he showed me indicating that I definitely needed to get my roof replaced and have some other repairs too. In the end I showed everything to the guy from Lysters and he pointed out to me that the first pictures he had taken were of my house but the pictures he showed me of what was supposedly my with damaged shingles and supposedly some soft spots in the roof. Indicating that I also needed some boards replaced too. In the end the guy from Lysters went up on my roof and looked it completely over then said to me your roof is in great shape and he also told me that if I had a leak in the roof causing black mold to grow in there then the water leak would also have gone down to the main level of the house and I would have water spots showing up. I have no water spots anywhere in the upstairs of my home. Once again just proving that I was actually lied to. The great news was I not only didn't need a new roof at all and the one I have now is going to be fine for at least another 10 to probably 15 years. I felt so relieved because the quote from Top Home Improvement was for just under $35,000.00 ! I can assure you that if I ever need work done on my home I will never call anyone but Lyster's to do the job. As for Top Home Improvement I would never use them for any job. I'm just so angry that they outright lied to me and almost cost me a substantial amount of money that was never necessary to spend whatsoever. I guess I would say buyer beware of who you call to do important work on your home. By not getting a second opinion I would have spent a huge amount of money that wasn't really necessary at all. I have also learned that from now on before I hire any company to do work on my home I'll definitely be checking with the Better Business Bureau too. After installation, we found out the leaf guards were not installed and were told they were not included in the contract. When questioned about the misrepresentation in the sales presentation, we were offered a 30% discount if we wanted the leaf guards installed - an additional cost of $1,300. Feeling that the misrepresentation by the salesperson - whether unintentional or not - should have been covered by the company and not merely discounted by them, we cannot in good conscience fully recommend White Pine Renovation.

Esow Roofing replaced my storm damaged roof shortly after my husband had passed ten years ago…read more When discussing the job, I could tell that Richard at least knew about roofs as my husband and I had removed and installed roofing on 5 homes and a couple of barns. But when it got down to it, the workmanship was shoddy, rows were uneven and the employees were trying to get away with not putting roofing felt over all areas. The drip edge was put on at an angle in such a manner that I could no longer clean out the eaves. I was told that there was water damage to the edge of the decking on the back of the house and was charged for replacement. Once the job was finished I was then told that the damage was minimal, so it wasn't replaced, no refund. Later I found out that Richard hadn't applied for a permit to do that work, so he never intended to replace it. Siding was damaged by an employee, Richard said he would replace it, but didn't. Steer clear of this person!
