I contacted Rob Tanzer, owner of Dr. 12 Volt, about a Backup camera for my 26 ft RV. He quoted me…read more$450 out the door for a new system, or an older people user friendly upgrade for $750. I opted for the upgrade. I had to risk sending the money to him to buy it first, then when he came to put it in it was a No brand name Monitor (straight from China) and when he finished installing it was showing me how to operate it, I asked him "What about the Backup camera, that was the main thing I wanted". And he worked, looked for awhile longer and said I'd have to buy a camera, cable and modular and he'd come back to install it. I went ahead and paid for the work he did, and he said he'd send a link for me to buy what was needed to finish up, but never did so I texted and called him to remind him to send the link, several times for a month, no contact. He Ghosted me. I had to get a different company to finish his work and get me a Backup camera for another $400. I checked out his reviews at first and they were 7 good reviews so I went with him. After this experience I've checked deeper and there are several Bad reviews. I will never recommend him, and certainly never pay till the work is completely done to your satisfaction.

When i called for service, i spoke with very knowledgeable experienced employee. After scheduling a…read moreservice appointment for my extended warranty, i received ongoing messages for times and tech arrival. Since they had washer make and model, he brought the right parts. It only took about 15 minutes to repair my 22 year old washer. I would highly recommend Appliance Express. Every business should be so well run and professional. Cyndi in Leander

I was not impressed with Appliance Express. I contacted them because my 3 year old Whirlpool oven…read more(that was in the house when I bought it) kept randomly losing power. I wasn't sure if it was an electrical issue in the house or a problem with the oven, but I started with the appliance. I made an appointment with Appliance Express--they couldn't tell me until the day before what time they'd come out, so I had to allocate the entire day to stay home. The day before they texted me with a time range, so narrowed it a bit. On the day of the appointment the repair guy called me when he was on his way, which was helpful. The repair guy was very nice but didn't strike me as being terribly knowledgeable about our particular oven. However, he suggested that it needed a software update (which required first connecting the oven to our WiFi). He gave me a phone number to Whirlpool support who could assist in connecting the oven to our WiFi and downloading the update. He barely touched the oven, other than to look at the current software version on the display. But for that helpful little piece of advice about needing a software update I was charged $162.36 by Appliance Express. They could have just told me over the phone, before someone ever came out, to try that solution first. I got the oven connected to our WiFi (I'm a retired IT guy and am very intentionally judicious about what I connect to our home network as I'm very aware of the security and performance/bandwidth implications of connecting devices willy-nilly). Once connected, I had trouble getting the update to install. The repair guy watched for a little while and then left. I called the Whirlpool number and they were very helpful in getting it sorted out (it turned out there was something they had to initiate on their end). After the software update I have had no problems with the appliance (other than I think it's stupid that an oven requires Internet connectivity and software updates to function). So, in the end Appliance Express identified the likely problem so that I was able to take care of it myself, but they charged me $162.36 for that little nugget of information. They could have just suggested over the phone that I try that first before they came out.
