A pawn shop owner with a heart of gold might sound like an oxymoron. Or a side character in a country song. But the owner of this establishment has been nothing but gracious (practically saintly) and professional toward me and now I wouldn't want to go anywhere else. That's invaluable. Overpriced. Most items I looked at were well over fair market price. For example they had a Taylor GS Mini for $549. Those have never sold over $500 and almost always sell under $400. Picture attached. You'd pay $150 more than average market and $50 over highest price ever. Another a Takamine EF400SC sells at $655, $720 shipped to your door. They have one with a cracked neck very damaged for $770. There were others as well. Be very cautious because you could pay highest price ever recorded for an item and it could be damaged as well. The people were nice but that doesn't make up for overpricing. If they were on the high side of the market that would be reasonable although I don't think people go to pawn shops for high prices, but this store was even beyond high prices into overpriced. read more

They shrug their shoulders if there is even a scratch on something that you want to sell despite selling old and scratched items themselves. The store on N Bell Blvd is dark and creepy. The staff are dark and creepy and have the customer service skills of a wet turtle. You have to pay $15 for a longer return policy. There are many other pawn shops you can buy and sell from that have better staff that actually know about the products that they have on the shelf and don't treat customers like an interruption. read more

Absolutely incredible experience. These guys know their stuff and are so much fairer than any other pawn shop you'll ever go it. Went in there with a few items and they gave me competitive offers in everything, nearly 40% more than any of the other three pawn shops I had visited on the way up. They then were extremely accommodating to my lack of gun knowledge and helped clarify all my questions without once trying to push one down my throat and sell it to me. This is how business should be. I will definitely be coming to this shop at least once a month to check out their new inventory, or whenever I need something. Not only the biggest pawn shop I've seen but also great prices on nearly every niche. The main boss, Johnathan, was a stand up dude that really walked me through everything and explained why the price he gave me was his top dollar. His employee John then took over and spend at least an hour talking to me and helping me with any questions I had. Not only did I take care of business, but I was treated like a human being all throughout. If you haven't, you gotta go check them out! read more

Terrible service. I can read you the ticket 1 necklace 32 grams 14k wht gold. 1 bracelet 10 grams 14k wht gold. 1 ring 8.7 grams 8 round diamonds. Assholes took it all and gave $450. My problem with that is they didn't need to take it all to get $450. The necklace alone would have been plenty. But no because someone doesn't know about gold they just try and screw you. gold is at $27 right now granted it goes up and down. But really over 42 grams in gold and only $450. I was so angry. And then the old man tries to defend why they did what they did. Awful service and I will never go back. I went up the street to cash america got offered over $500 for just the ring and bracelet. I have been dealing with a few of the original guys of Best Pawn for 20+ years now, and up to this past week would have bet my kids lives on their integrity, honesty, and upfront truths. I got a quick emergency loan on a one of a kind gold coin that has collector and auction history, valued at $25k on ANY day of the year easy. It was an error and also only one of 20 known to exist in that MS67 state. After being in their care for a week, and calling to speak to a newbie to rrenew the pawn, I get there to conduct my business only to find the coin has been SWAPPED OUT (the new guy said 'that year isn't RARE I own a few of that year myself, its not worth what you think') Idiot wasnt notified nor did he know until I showed him a picture I had taken of the coin for insurance purposes, about the rarity that made the value. So not only did Mr.I-think-Ive-covered-my-ass near shit himself as I flipped out...kept going on and on how JUST at that moment when he pulled it from the safe that he nor anyine else seen it or touched it. Give me a break, my children at kindergarten age could have done a better job of makung up some wtfe story. Remember everyone...pawned, kept in a safe at the bank, under your grandma's bed...insure the hell out of everything you own. Unfortunately, this poor idiot might get the luxury of meeting my insurance agents Smith & Wesson. So no, probably not going to go there anytime in the future, and I highly suggest you don't either until the owners can get their squad in check. Skye P- Are you forgetting that 14k is only 58% gold!? As well as if you go to any pawn shop and offer X amount of merchandise and its worth more of course they would take it all, it is more insurance that you would go back to pick up your stuff. I shop at best pawn whenever i have time to stop by, the fellas there are always couteous and willing to help with my needs whether it be a loan or shopping. Personally i would rather support local business over a corparate store anytime. Im rating it 4 stars only because i did buy a drill that burnt up within 2 days of buying it although they did give me a full refund with no problems. read more
