Great local resource for computer issues. My desk top PC wouldn't reboot Tuesday night. I took it to on-site computers Wednesday morning to run diagnostics and find the problem. About an hour later I got a call back confirming it was a bad motherboard or CPU. After a brief discussion, the best fix was a new motherboard and CPU. The rest of my PC could be used with the components. 3 hours later, the PC was up and running. They also recommended replying my data drive which was starting to fail. Done. My PC is better than new, faster and flawless. I didn't loose and data or applications. Service, their recommendations and installation were great. Reasonable price on parts and labor. read more

My laptop wouldn't boot up. I'm not exactly tech savvy so I called On-Site. They were very polite on the phone and told me to bring it in. When I got there Greg was very helpful and said he'd take a look at it and get back to me as soon as possible. Later that day he called me and said he found the problem and it was ready for pick up. I try and use local small business but On-site has given me bad advice on more than one occasion and the the last time it cost me a lot of money. My Dell Laptop crashed and would not power up. I took it in for the repair and to see if my data could be recovered. I paid for a diagnosis, which wasn't too expensive. I was told that there was nothing that could be done and there was no way to recover the data. I couldn't risk the loss of data that was urgently needed so I paid a data-recovery company to recover the data off the hard-drive. After that, I started to have doubts regarding what On-site had told me was wrong and that nothing could be done. So I sent the laptop to Dell. It was the motherboard and was fixed for $120; and all my data was recovered on a functioning hard drive. So On-site told me that it wasn't worth fixing and that all the data was lost. When in fact, $120 gave me a fully-functional laptop and all my data retrieved. Their general attitude is that laptops are disposable and if they are more than a year old then they should just be thrown away. This isn't my first experience with them. I previously took a different Dell laptop to them because I was having battery/power issues. I had replaced the battery but was still having issues. Their advice is that it was not worth fixing even though it was only two years old and the only issue was error messages regarding the battery. I left and decided just to replace both the battery and the charger. And - the laptop was fine. I highly recommend using anyone but On-Site. read more

Went in to check a computer problem not knowing a thing computers and was told he would have to see before he could tell. I said would this cost around $100.00 answer was no should only be about $32.50 ended that the original problem wasn't existent when I came back with the computer so I ask how to download CDs to flash drive? Greg proceeded to set up a" Music Short Cut" All the time waiting for downloads and things, not knowing a thing about what he was doing, turned out to take about an hour,$70.00 total, which I paid, I took the computer, and told him I would probably call him. His response was OK anytime. Got home tried to download a CD and was unable to figure out what was wrong?? Called Greg on Friday after the big storm on Thursday, and was told didn't have the time TO TALK, was working on fixing 10 computers that had failed after the storm and was told to contact him the following Monday. Waited till Today to see if he could show me how (step by step) to download and was told that he didn't train people how to and that he would have to charge me!!!! Well I don't know how to get voted "BEST OF" 6 YEARS with this kind of customer service but I don't think I would have voted that way.
