Divide the newest cell phone and was faced with high stressed sales tactic. I was very turned off they're selection was okay except the problem was a lot of the phones that I was looking at were out of stock. They're having 60 anniversary but they are not honoring the 60 anniversary sales,l today so I have to come back tomorrow. So after I left I was very stressed out I need a new phone because mine is pretty old and I need a newer one that holds more memory. But the fact is I was completely let down. I will come back tomorrow but the problem is I don't like people getting on top of me to buy something that I may not want later. I don't know about you but I sure don't like aggressive Sales people it's like they were desperate for sale you have to go with AT&T service which is very expensive. There's so many other carriers that are way cheaper. So I prefer to go with a great phone not so much the drama. So I may have to pass coming back tomorrow not sure if I want someone to convince me to purchase a phone plus the service which is outrageous. So I don't know why Best Buy allows us to happen in their store but I could see why they're reviews are very poor. I will try to think about what I plan to do because getting out of there was very difficult. By the way you have several sales people not just 1 or 2 but more to convince you to buy certain phones. That was the hard part. So I wish I would recommend this place but I'm not so sure I would I will give it another crack and another time but for now I don't think so. read more

Bummer. This was a miss for me. When I walked in, I was greeted. I was asked if I needed help in an area. I said yes actually, I need help with the printers. He said he would send someone there. I waited for a while looked over the different printers. Honestly I don't need anything fancy. I just every so often need to print emails or documents around tax season. While I was waiting, I thought I would look at the ink that the printers that I was interested in. Get an idea of the pricing. Basically the whole wall was out of stock. And 2 of the printers I liked didn't have any ink. I didn't even see a tag where they would have been. I don't know if ink comes with the printer when you buy. But since I didn't have any help, and there were no ink cartridges to buy anyway. I didn't see the point to stay. I guess I will check another store. read more

DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT use the ATT store inside a Best Buy evvvvveeerr!!! It's a scam. They promise lower bill by upgrading your phone! Nope better to go AT&T Corporate store. The "AT&T" inside Best Buy is a Franchisee. They outsource to other countries which is fine but when they guarantee to reimburse you for being overcharged and then not follow through, it is very difficult to get anything resolved. No one I mean no one can help you inside Best Buy. You have to call a separate number than is outsourced and has nothing to do with AT&T corporate customer service. So basically you are screwed. I regret ever being sold by the sales person named Jay who is suppose to be a supervisor. That is the other thing, I have my contract and show exactly what I am suppose to be paying and they won't honor it! This is unfortunate for we may have to go the legal route. I have called multiple times and tried to straighten this out but I get the run around. Stating "oh we denied that!" Nobody denied anything! I have recorded notes and case numbers. Additionally they broke up the installations into 2 separate Saturday's. I confirm both installations same day. If you want the worst customer service, people who do not care to solve any issues, delay deliveries because they have horrible logistics and talk down to you on the phone, you are in the right place. I purchased a high end refrigerator from them over 4 weeks ago and they just delayed delivery again. Home Depot and Lowe's are able to deliver the same model within 3 days. They SUCK. They hardly have anything in stock to buy anymore. I went in the other day to get a Samsung Book and they had NONE. I was about to spend a few grand on that, peripherals, and other gadgets like those little locator devices. But nope. So I thought I'd try again this week, but call ahead of time to make sure they had what I needed - laptop, gadgets, peripherals AND ALSO a car auto-start that I would have them install. But nope, guess what?! They've outsourced their phone calls - call the local store and you get someone offshore who can't answer if they have a car auto-starter with climate control that starts the car at 77F and can be programmed to run for thirty minutes. So that someone says they'll connect you to someone at the Bee Cave store. Tried twice and waited on hold 8 minutes the first time and 12 minutes the second for nothing. Third time the person said she can't connect me, SO THE OTHER TWO PEOPLE LIED TO ME AND WASTED MY FREAKING TIME. Screw this. It's difficult to find someone to wait on you here. I went in on a weekday, and there were very few people shopping there. I was shopping for a washing machine. I had to hunt for an employee, and the only one I could find was waiting on another customer. While I appreciate the fact that he didn't stop helping that customer to wait on me, he didn't even acknowledge my presence. I walked away for a bit, then came back. Same thing, so I walked away again. I would have left the store at this point, but my washing machine was broken and I really needed a replacement. After going up front and asking, someone eventually came back to help me. All he did was scan the QR codes on the floor models and show them to me on his phone. I could have done that, and he couldn't answer any questions I had, so I gave up and left the store. Selection was very limited and overpriced. The models they have on the floor are crowded, and there's only room for one person at a time in the aisle, so it's an unpleasant shopping experience. My friend who was with me found a toy she wanted to buy. When we went up front to check out, there was no one there. We went to the service desk, stood there and waited for the two employees to stop talking to each other while ignoring us, and eventually someone came up front to checkout so she could pay for the toy. We spent close to an hour there, and I won't be back. It was a total waste of time. I bought my new washing machine at Home Depot. I'm a long-time, loyal Best Buy customer, so it's very disappointing to discover they no longer care, train their employees, or provide customer service. read more

I purchased a dash cam with a rear camera as a way to make myself feel safer out in Austin traffic. Apparently people just like to run into the back of my car, because it's happened 3 times in the last few years. (For the record, none of these wrecks have been my fault!) I figure a dash cam might be of some value when dealing with the insurance companies. After calling around, I found that Best Buy has the best installation prices for front and rear cameras. Very pleased with the ease of getting the appointment, having the work done, and the lifetime installation warranty. Chris Lopez did a great job, and he was a very patient with all my questions. The shelves in this store are often mostly or completely empty and the employees don't seem to be doing much. I'm not sure if they have a good reason for their low inventory but it's hard to recommend this place for anything - the lack of product means it's not even a very good Amazon Showroom. Terrible customer experience. I've been using the local best buy stores after signing up for their total tech membership. One of the first products I bought was a Nest Thermostat. They repeatedly don't show for appointments with all day time windows. So I sit at home and wait, but no one shows up. When they came, they broke my AC. I've made two dozen calls to different tech support numbers, been transferred to every department available, called the store and no one called me back, drove all the way back into the store and was promised resolution and a time frame but no one followed up or responded to my subsequent emails when trying to resolve. Easily the worst customer experience I have ever experienced. Now I am paying out of pocket and will need to chase them down for reimbursement. Use Amazon and save the trip. read more

Only a partial refund was afforded on my $600.00 purchase made yesterday as the manager this evening was not authorized to refund my Microsoft purchase advising me I'd have to contact Microsoft despite Best Buy selling me the product yesterday with the understanding it was fully refundable. I have yet to encounter a solid "customer service" experience at the particular Best Buy store, and unfortunately for me, the next closest location is 45 mins away! I have been a Total Tech paid member for years with Best Buy and have always had excellent service, that is until I moved to the Austin area. Best Buy could always be counted on to provide professional and courteous customer service, but NOT this location. And I been a customer at Bee Caves for almost 4 years now and have spent tens of thousands of dollars there. But, no one there cares. From lackluster technical service to rude and obnoxious sales people, this store is just so poorly managed. And don't get me started with the whole, "We're too understaffed to answer phone calls"!!! You can go into this location and can stand there for 45 minutes and absolutely no one will approach and ask if you need anything. More the opposite happens...if you make eye contact with any of these people they immediately look away and hide behind the next aisle! Had an appointment today with Magnolia for whole house entertainment and Smart Home options, waited for hours and not a single phone call or text message from the technician. Called their "Customer Service" line and THEY can't even reach the guy! (His email apparently auto-replies that he's out of the office.) It took 3 weeks just to get in line to make this "NO SHOW" appointment. If you're on the fence about purchasing a Total Tech package where Bee Cave is your go-to store, I highly recommend you look for other options. Management here has NO CLUE. read more

Decent selection, prices, and service for this type of store. Managed to find a laptop with the features wanted without too much sales pressure. However, this same laptop suffered a catastrophic failure of the hard drive 7 weeks later. This isn't Best Buy's fault - I'm judging the location based on the customer service during the sale, and also during today's visit to the Geek Squad. While not horrible, so far it's extremely 'meh' service. It turns out that the machine is still under the manufacturer's warranty, so we had to go through the Geek Squad system to get the laptop off to the manufacturer, to decide how to repair or replace the unit within 2-3 weeks. Filled out the initial forms and was then asked to come back in 25 minutes in order to 'put us in the system' this was odd as they were just entering in the data into the store's computer, but whatever. Went to a quick lunch and came back, had to wait an additional 15 minutes for service but finally had it taken care of. The new iPhone 12 Pro Max that I ordered would have been cool-in-all; but, you know, a used, damaged ps4 game is way better...... **Disclaimer: this has to slightly do with this specific location but more to do with the experience as a whole. My husband ordered the iPhone 12 Pro Max from this Best Buy location in Bee Caves. We ordered it on a Monday morning. He paid extra to have the phone sent to us by, the latest, Wednesday, as we were heading out of town for the weekend. We did not receive the phone by late Wednesday afternoon. Not super worried, we checked back with the store and they said to wait it out for the rest of the day and that they could refund me the money if it wasn't delivered by the end of the day. Totally fine, no worries. But, of course, It wasn't or I wouldn't be sitting outside of the store right now aggressively typing this. Anyway, we requested a refund (which I have not received yet). That is the least of my troubles here. Friday night rolls around and I got a notification that it was delivered (yippee). But alas... it wasn't an iPhone 12. Nay nay. Instead, I received a USED, OPENED, DAMAGED PS4 GAME. Thus, we hurried back to the store to freak out a little more there. Upon my slightly angered and concerned arrival, the same manager basically says "oh, darn. Well, I can't do anything. so, here, call this 1(800) number instead." Called the number and the poor woman was thoroughly confused and didn't understand what I was saying. I asked for them to overnight the phone, as his current phone has since stopped charging all together. She told me that it would be over a month for the new phone. I, unfortunately but not so unfortunately cause I'm tired of dealing with this, couldn't wait that long. I then requested a full refund so I could just go buy one from somewhere else. So, I could be getting a refund in "7 days or maybe longer". I have had better experiences dealing with the IRS. No, I am not joking. This review pertains specifically to a delivery that I placed through this store, and am still waiting on. Expecting at this point to never get it. I just moved near Bee Cave from elsewhere in Austin. Decided to buy a new TV for the first time in over six years. Best Buy had what I wanted exactly and at a reasonable price. Went into the store briefly and that experience was fine - I knew exactly what I wanted. Problem is, the TV box wouldn't fit in my car or my girlfriend's SUV (first world problem, I know). No biggie! Says the helpful Best Buy floor clerk. Delivery is free and we can have it to you next Saturday (which was 8/8). Excited and eager, I agreed and paid for my TV. Fast forward to last Saturday and I was sent an email and text confirming my delivery for 8/8, between the windows of 7 AM and 1 PM. All right, no problem, I thought. I thought wrong. I woke up early on Saturday and moseyed around the house all day waiting for the TV delivery. When it reached around 11 AM, I wasn't surprised, these delivery windows are usually towards the end of the window anyway. Then it's 1 PM. Still willing to give the benefit of the doubt, I wait until 2. 3. Nothing. No phone call, no text, and no email. At this point, I had friends over (as I informed them I'd be free after 1) and I gave up. I left a note on my door to call me (we were just going to the pool) and I would come back up to my apartment when the delivery team arrived. Lo and behold, they never did. I tried to call Best Buy Bee Cave shortly before they closed on Saturday, 8/8, and after navigating the automated menu I was put on hold, and after thirty-five minutes of ringing, they never picked up and the store was closed. The next morning on 8/9, I decided to call Best Buy Bee Cave shortly after it had opened. Same story. Thirty minutes, and nothing but ring tone. Seriously? I've never been put on hold this long by even freakin AT&T or as I alluded at the start, THE IRS! So I decided to try the online chat. Miraculously, a (seemingly) live person eventually responded and I was informed that there was some sort of issue with the delivery, and that's why it did not arrive. Well, some notice would have been nice. Even an automated text or email. ANYTHING, so I wasn't just stuck sitting around all day. The chat person apologized, told me the delivery would be rescheduled for today (8/12) at the same time window, and offered a gift card as a sorry to be mailed within 7-10 business days. Alright. I was irritated, but no harm no foul, I finally got in touch with someone and maybe this will finally be fixed. But alas, dear reader, as has been a consistent motif through this narrative, I was wrong once again. Given that today's delivery is a Wednesday, I had to inform my job I'd be working remotely today to receive a TV delivery. In a stint of deja vu, I woke up again quite earlier than usual to be ready on the off chance the TV was delivered by 7 AM. Of course, it wasn't. And, of course, it's past 1 PM now and I still have not received my delivery. Having learned my lesson on Saturday, I hopped on the live chat at about 11 AM just to check in on the order and the chat person assured me it would be here by 1 PM, 100% sure even according to his/her records, and that I'd be getting a phone call 30 minutes prior. Well, here we are again, it's past 1 PM, and NOTHING from the store or its delivery wing. At 1 I once again got onto the chat and, was now told, there "might" be a delay, and to wait "until the end of the day" without any clarification about what that means. 5 PM? 10 PM? This is beyond ridiculous and I will no longer be shopping at Best Buy brick and mortar or its online stores ever again. Truly a horrendous experience that could've been smoothed over so much easier with just minimal communication or notice from Best Buy's end. I truly doubt I will even receive the delivery at this point and I'll just have to get a refund and take my business elsewhere. 0/5 if I could. UPDATE: as I anticipated, despite the assurances, the TV did not arrive today. Best Buy took zero responsibility, and now it's being rescheduled, for a THIRD time, to this coming Saturday 8/15, for a 12-6 window. Can't say enough good things about this Best Buy. We've bought several large flat screens, an iPAD, and recently a higher end fridge. Several months ago they were having a sale, and we needed a new fridge after ours had started beeping incessantly. We had our eye on two, and went with the one that was the same brand as the one on the fritz, because it could arrive that week over the more expensive one (that they still price matched to the "cheaper" brand) that would take at least a month to arrive. Cut to almost four months later, and the same fridge brand that was supposed to have fixed it's ice machine feature... shockingly... has not. It's already freezing over after only four months. We go back to Best Buy and ask if they will honor the price match of the other more expensive brand and we can exchange and bingo! We're getting a new fridge this Thursday. I tip my hat to Michigan, who works for Geek Squad out of the Bee Cave, Tx Store. My laptop had been frozen by a malicious app while searching for recipes. The app represented itself as MicroSoft and warned not to shut the laptop down, but to "call a toll - free number for assistance". Being a "Total Tech" Member, I knew not to mess around and brought the laptop into Best Buy to see The Geek Squad. Michigan wasted no time in showing me the F11 solution to getting the function of my laptop back. In addition, he noticed that my laptop battery was swollen and needed to be replaced. He also "cleaned up" my hard drive and showed me how to get to the "temp files" and how to delete them. I brought my laptop in a day later and Michigan replaced my battery. Michigan was polite, knowledgeable, and professional. He was a pleasure to do business with. Thanks to you Michigan! read more

Customer service at best buy has been declining for years. No difference at this particular store. It's to the point now that you can't even reach someone in the store by phone. I'm forced to come into the store, where the workers are typically just walking around, with no concept of customer service. This is what happens when there really isn't any local electronic competitors. At this point I'll just use Best Buy to see which item I want, and buy it from Amazon. Descent employees, but never really know what they're talking about. They'll talk a lot, but usually if you Google or contact a real expert in the game, you'll quickly realize that smoke was being blown up your behind. If you don't know any better, you'd think you were talking to geniuses. They're skilled in fluffing conversations with technical words. I get it. Everyone needs a job, but once you realize that you've been told whatever it took to get you to go away, you can't help but feel dismissed and deceived. A guy who introduced himself as the Geek Squad manager explained to me in detail, why it's impossible to connect more than 3 screens to a ThinkPad laptop. I showed him pictures of my setup, asked multiple questions and specifically asked if I could connect more screens if I invested in a different docking station. He took his time explaining to me how the laptop has an internal chip that prevents more than 3 displays at 1 time and said that if I used a splitter to connect more screens, the screen would simply be a duplicate of one of the 3 active screens. I should have shown him the picture of my co-workers FIVE (5) screens! Five (5) screens that he's supporting from the SAME ThinkPad laptop that I have. My suggestion...when you don't know...just SAY you don't know. Geeezzzzzz. You wasted my time and yours. I'm going to order me a Besthing docking station and get my additional screens going. read more

I've had some good thoughts about Best Buy in recent years. I even forgave them for killing Circuit City. OK, that's a stretch. My tale goes that I have used the car audio bay for some small work. Basically, they did what I didn't understand. Good folks over there at store 749. Or was it 441? I had way less luck at some other stores in the area. Count this review as a double play aimed at two other BB locations. Due to difficulties at my favorite location, I called around to get the work done. One install bay flat refused to take the job for less than $50 plus supplies; another location, got two visits from me thanks to a sign that said they were closed on Tuesdays, but weren't. On my second trip, the doors are down so they are sitting in the bay doing absolutely nothing. Hey District Managers, make them mop the floors or something! I explained what I needed, and they wanted $79 plus supplies. The third store was booked solid and couldn't fit me in. But at least they were honest and willing to take the small job. That makes two locations were willing to do what I needed for some quick money. I ended up back at my favorite store this morning, and while my tiny amount of work was being done I scouted prices for Christmas gifts and made a few purchases. I not going to say that I spent thousands of dollars just to rub it in like some folks would; that's not me. I bought a DVD, and did some research for my mom on e-readers. You have to admit that every dollar counts in this economy, and I gladly spent my paycheck where I've done for many years at this my favorite location. 1229? The other two locations have the lowest customer count I've ever seen when compared to the favorite; wouldn't they take every dollar they could earn instead of refusing to take a paying job? Best Buy in Bee Cave TX allowed someone to upgrade my phones without checking identification. They walked out of Best Buy with two new iPhone X's charged to my AT&T account. Someone on the inside allowed them to not show ID and bypass all the AT&T passcode security. I live no where near this Best Buy. read more

I will NEVER shop here again. Worst customer service Ive ever seen. Girl with the holes in her face and fake eyelashes along with the blue hair avoid. Her attitude is just as unfriendly. Spent a fair amount of money online for pickup. 2 hours later we decided to pop in and see if it was ready. Not only did she get smart with us she walked off and her partner said we can refund you but it will take 2-3 business days. This item was in stock, in the store! Our other option was we could go ahead and pay for it again and wait for our refund. Never tried to make it right or figure out the issue. Mind you, the money has cleared our account. Terrible. The absolute worse experience. I buy a washer, dryer, and refrigerator. Pay for the installs. After the install, I'm away for a week. I come home to see my refrigerator has water leaking all outside, there's an error on the screen, and my freezer doesn't work. I call for warrantee work - 2weeks for a repair guy to come and look at it. 2weeks go by and tech fixes the issue in 10min. Issue? Installers didn't remove all the packaging and blocked the freezer from working properly. Smh. Fast forward to today. I buy a brand new 65" lcd and pay for everything they can offer....rewards program, credit card, service contract, delivery, install, etc. To shorten it up....waited 14hrs today for my install and nada. They can't even find my TV. Now I have to wait who knows how long for an install and I'm leaving town again. Seriously BB?! WTF?! read more

What I like about this Best Buy is that it's rarely full. Go to the one at Mopac and 290 on a Saturday and it's packed. Come here just about any day of the week and it's not. Everywhere my boyfriend and I looked this weekend was out of washers and dryers. No one had them in stock, and no one could guarantee when they would be able to get them in. Best guess was sometime after mid november. I was pleasantly surprised though to find that Best Buy had everything in stock. Was able to walk in and out in less than 10 minutes, and have a washer in dryer on order and set up for delivery for 6 days later. Best Buy really was a lifesaver. Boyfriend is currently without both a washer a d dryer a d has been Going to a laundromat. With the national change shortage, its been difficult. Thank you Best Buy. read more
