After my lady finished she went ahead to another customer. I went to the front to paid and I did but with another lady who was rude (rushing me and after I paid walked away without any manners). I walked in for a pedicure like I have previously and was asked if I had an appointment. I said I didn't but wanted a pedicure if someone was available. She said, it's going to be a really long wait. I was about to say that that was fine - that I could put my name in and come back after I ran errands, but then the guy asked incredulously "you don't have an appointment?!" Not impressed. I'm super disappointed in the way the nail tech did my nails. She was so nice and we had great conversation... I asked for my nails a certain way and she did the complete opposite. I asked for them to be very short with a VERY small French tip because I type and use my hands a lot (workouts especially lifting heavy I can't have super long nails)... she didn't even cut my cuticles or do anything that they normally do for a regular manicure. I am not one to usually make yelp reviews, but I left this place in tears. I got this beautiful set done at this location when I got it done I was passed off to this guy because apparently no one knew how to do designs but him atm and as he's doing this simple, vine, and flower design he is complaining about how difficult it is. It only lasted a week before I broke one of my nails and had to go back I was prepared to pay to fix it to get it back how it was before they lied to me and said that the guy that did my nails was not there (he was )and had some girl do my nails that they kept asking if she knew how to do it. The second picture is what I left with and what they charge me $10 for short not the same whatsoever crooked and just all around not worth $10 for one nail that I previously got done at that salon week ago. Every other salon that I have been to if I was to break a nail and under two weeks I would just have to tip for it to be fixed. $10 is absolutely ridiculous and it wasn't even the same. Not to mention, I still had my other hand completely fine so you can tell they are not the same. I take my daughter for tutoring over by Panera Bread on Red Bug Lake Road and came across X.O nail salon in the shopping plaza and decided to give them a try. I'm so happy that I did. Dat (the nail beautician) is amazing. He did a wonderful job making my beyond irreparable nail-bitten nails look flawless for my elopement. I am always hesitant to go to nail salons because I am typically low-key judged for being a nail/skin biter. Dat understood it and actually gave me some amazing advice to repair my nails and cuticles. Very sanitary environment and friendly techs. He was very personable and friendly too which made the awkward task of sitting there getting your nails done awesome. Inexpensive too which is nice for me being budget-oriented. I plan on bringing my whole bridal party here next year before my actual wedding because he did such a good job. He has made me into a regular for sure. :) read more

BEWARE! I've been going to this nail salon for over 6 months. 1st visit I was cut while getting a pedicure Accidents happen so I continue to go back. I even took an out of town friend for mani/pedi. On 8/15 I went for my normally pedicure and dip and powder for my nails. I was charged $5 extra because I was told I received an extra service for the pedicure. There was nothing different done than all of my previous pedicures. Which I wasnt told about the $5 until it was time to pay I returned on 8/27 for a dip and powder on my nails. I was asked if I wanted my nails cut My response was NO. I like my length. They ask this question everytime. This time in the process of doing my nails I was told it would cost and extra $5 because of my nails are too long. She could have told me that before she started. My nails barely grew from the 15th to the 27th. I went in early because I was going out of town for a week. She wasted $5 worth of nail tips putting different colors of powders on them to show me. I didn't ask her to do that. I tip well after every appointment. I AM DONE. THIS SALON WILL NO LONGER GET A PENNY FROM ME OR OVERCHARGE ME BY $5 EVERY VISIT. HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! I have been back 4 times in 3 days trying to get my nails right with these people!! Acrylics chipped after a day, nail polish chipped off, they told me if I pay for gel polish it won't chip and so I paid the extra for gel polish and it's been peeling off my nails like old wall paper after just 1 day, 4 nails had the gel polish totally peel off! Then they told me to wait 15-20 minutes and I waited 30-40 minutes and when I asked them how much longer they said another 15-20 minutes and when I asked for a refund on the whole thing they just ignored me until I spoke with a manager who said " we already refunded you the gel polish" I have been practically living in the salon trying to get them to do their job right and they won't refund me on the nail Job that they are obviously not qualified or educated on. The first time I went here was AMAZING, $40 for both a beautifully done pedicure and a full set. This time was different. I was rushed in for a pedicure that didn't even buff the nails, just did cuticles and painted. As I was sitting in the chair for the pedicure, someone came over to start my full set, I thought "wonderful! They're quick". I was wrong. She immediately grabbed my hand to glue the nails on, claimed cleaning the cuticles and making the nails looks nice first was not part of the full set - which was different then every time I've been here before. When I asked for her to clean them she said it would be $65 for just the hands plus the additional for the pedicure. After discussion about why this is different then what I always get, I reluctantly agreed as I was confused and disappointed. She then continued to be aggressive in the cleaning, and blatantly talking crap about how I had been confused throughout the whole two hours. By the end of the appointment I didn't feel comfortable pointing out any difference between the design I wanted and what she gave me. The picture is the finished product. Let me start by disclaiming that I am not an avid nail salon goer (this was my second time going to a nail salon for a gel manicure). Mostly due to my inability to justify spending that much money on my nails, especially when I feel that my nail painting skills are close to the nail technicians skills given they have their nail license and I obviously don't. Over the years, I have gotten better at maintaining my own nails and this experience definitely made me reconsider ever going back to a nail salon for a gel manicure or anything of that nature. The gel manicure here cost $27 and I tipped $10 so in total spent way more than the quality of my nails turned out to be. The nail technician was really friendly but her skills and experience lacked. The same day I got my nails maintained, I noticed that the areas that had bubbles started to peel... the salon owner told me to come back and they'll take care of it. Surely they did take care of it and fixed the areas that peeled but it was inconvenient for me to have to return the next day due to the lack of experience of the nail tech and at the rate of $27 not including tip I expected more quality work for how much a gel manicure cost. She also trimmed and shaped my nails unevenly. My thumb nail lengths don't match up. If you are interested in trying out this salon definitely book an appointment with the nail salon owner. He was the one that had to fix my nails the next day because the other nail technician didn't do so well. Overall, the customer service was okay. Everyone was friendly but the quality of work just wasn't there. Also, they have a special for students but it has to be cash transactions only. They didn't advertise the student discount for me even though I'm a student. So it felt a bit dishonest in a way that they care more about the money than building customer relationships. read more

My original place wasn't open on the day I went to get my nails done so I came here because I've heard good things. I ended up going to my place 3 days later because my nails that were GEL were already chipping, they were all uneven, there were bubbles, and while I was there, they broke my nail but tried to fix it. It ended up breaking officially the next day. My nails were so flimsy from them filing them so thin when my nails are usually very strong and never bend. It was painful and I couldn't do anything with my hands without worrying. Now people that I know went the other day. They did a horrible job and totally overcharged them. Taking advantage of two kids that they supposedly know so well is messed up. They rush their jobs and no matter who you go to, they're not good. I will never go back to this nail salon and neither will the people I know, who have been going here for a very long time. I don't know what is going on, but there need to be changed. I feel that I'm being generous giving them 1 Star, very disappointed. read more

My sister and I went to this nail salon for the first time this afternoon. We weren't even greeted when we stepped in. We had to wait for one nail tech to look up before we told someone we had an appointment. They started 20 minutes late. We both got the same pedicure, and I started after she did, and we both ended at the same time. (So obviously I was slumped on something.) The nail tech messed up 3 of my polished toes when trying to put my sandals on. (There's still dried nail polish on my sandal.) When she was re-painting my one of the toes that got messed up, she kept stabbing the side of my toe with her pointed nail, when repainting, and when I told her she was hurting my toe, she laughed at me. For the manicure, she didn't even trim my cuticles, and there's nail polish on the sides of my fingers. Needless to say, I've had way better manicures before. Also, when she finished putting the polish on my nails, she started talked to another nail tech in a different language, and she looked over at me, and then they both started laughing. (So obviously they were talking trash about me.) Will NEVER go back to this nail salon, and if you're reading this review, do yourself a favor and find a better one!! read more
