Nice cafe. We came to this place even after breakfast at Marriott just to have their fresh squeezed juices. Great pastries and excellent coffee. Presentation of their coffee is great. Kids finished their sandwiches. Love this place. read more

Nice little cafe down the street from our hotel. I got the mozzarella and tomato sandwich, which was tasty, and the coffee was good.

If you're craving a late night treat after some bar hopping in Zurich, look no further…read more I ordered like 3 dessert pastries and all were amazing. Their chocolate ones are to die for. Good variety & fast service. The lady that works the counter is to the point, Don't take her the wrong way, she just wants you to order and enjoy your treats. Only speaks German from what I could tell. My French and Italian did not work with her. Neither did English. In summary, if you want a fast dessert after some bar hopping or just a late night snack, check this place out. Look at the picture I posted, It will give you a good idea of how many options for treats their are.

A small chain of bakeries established in 1909 that still make all the classic Swiss breads by hand daily. Zopf AKA braided bread, a Swiss staple for weekend breakfast is outstanding. Think a denser form of brioche with the unmistakable sweet richness of Swiss butter. Soft but with well developed gluten to be perfectly toothsome. Perfect companion to some cooked veal charcuterie. A small 330g loaf for CHF 4.80. You better buy two since one will be devoured before you make it back to the hotel. Verzascabrot AKA Urdinkel Maggia, a very rustic sour dough bread from Ticino Switzerland with an extremely crisp crust, and large holes throughout. Extremely chewy and very flavorful. The flavor of the yeast and the time given to ferment the dough apparent. Mild salinity. Perfect paired with some air dried Swiss beef and pickles. 500g for 7.00 CHF, a bargain. (Sorry no pics, the crust is so hard and the bread chewy it literally self destructed when I finally managed to pull it apart). Note: They also offer take away sandwiches made on their amazing breads. None sampled. German and English spoken. Very friendly counter service. Bread, so simple but such an important part of Swiss culture it deserves to be tasted and enjoyed.

They did ask if we had a reservation which we didn't but still got a table because we were early. Otherwise, it appeared you did need a reservation. My husband ordered an americano coffee and I got the cinnamon latte which was delicious. The bakery is decorated nicely and they have plenty to choose from. I would recommend checking this bakery out if you're in the area.

To start off, the service was amazing and sweets wise the standout for me was 100% the apricot sorbet. It was absolutely divine, so smooth. The honey himself ordered the pistachio creme sandwich and the small egg tart (similar to nata) and enjoyed them both quite a bit. The seating was comfortable, plentiful, and this was probably our favorite food spot in Zurich. All in all, definitely a must-eat in Zurich if you're visiting.

It's small but can comfortably hold a few people. There are plenty of displays to choose from. I wanted to buy some of their famous Luxemburgerli macarons but had a hard time deciding, so I asked the employee for the best sellers. She suggested three, and I went with those. She also mentioned they last 3-4 days and should be refrigerated immediately. It was a little treat for my daughter, and she absolutely loved them. It survived the 12hr flight . Perfect spot to pick up something special for yourself or to take home as a gift!

I had a ham and spicy mustard sandwich and it truly was delicious, although not as spicy as I expected. The varieties are much better in the morning then in the afternoon. I do enjoy the coffees here a lot. A little on the stronger side, which I prefer. The wait staff is not particularly friendly but neither are they rude. They put up with my 2 yr old hyper active daughter every time (and the mess she inevitably creates) so I can't complain really. The Aragosta pastry I had this afternoon was particularly yummy and generously filled with custard cream. It was quite huge and a bit messy to eat but nonetheless, I enjoyed every bite of it along with my perfect cup of cappuccino.
