To start off, the service was amazing and sweets wise the standout for me was 100% the apricot sorbet. It was absolutely divine, so smooth. The honey himself ordered the pistachio creme sandwich and the small egg tart (similar to nata) and enjoyed them both quite a bit. The seating was comfortable, plentiful, and this was probably our favorite food spot in Zurich. All in all, definitely a must-eat in Zurich if you're visiting. read more

It's small but can comfortably hold a few people. There are plenty of displays to choose from. I wanted to buy some of their famous Luxemburgerli macarons but had a hard time deciding, so I asked the employee for the best sellers. She suggested three, and I went with those. She also mentioned they last 3-4 days and should be refrigerated immediately. It was a little treat for my daughter, and she absolutely loved them. It survived the 12hr flight . We visited this restaurant on our first day in Zurich after walking around Bahnhofstrasse. On the first floor is a chocolate shop with a small coffee shop next door. We were seated at the restaurant on the second floor very quickly despite the busy time. We got soup of the day which tasted like tomato and crème. It was nice to enjoy the warm soup on a cold day. We also got a Sprungli Caramelito which was a nice mix of hot chocolate and espresso. They have very large selection of coffee, chocolate drink, teas and wines. It's a busy coffee shop but the service was fast. We got to enjoy the street view and the credit suisse building. Highly recommend this cute restaurant for a quick coffee stop. read more

To have breakfast, to get myself a whole Sprüngli cake to eat by myself, to buy chocolates and Luxemburgerli to give to friends and family (and also for myself). At the time of my visits, their seasonal flavors were strawberry rhubarb, and Black Forest. They travel well because the packaging is genius and can withstand tram rides, a transatlantic flight, and a car ride home! 5/5 Sprüngli Gateau: Chocolate sponge cake filled with praline buttercream on a japonais base, decorated with ganache rosettes and caramelized hazelnuts. Usually eaten by 4 people or 1 of me. I've eaten this by myself without guilt nor shame. Sprungli- if you're in Switzerland and don't go here, were you ever really in Switzerland? Lol. In short, Sprungli is worth every pretty penny, whether it's at their cafe or for gifts abroad. I did buy one too many goodies (how can I not) and despite trying several different truffles, cakes, etc, my personal favorite was their hazelnut milk chocolate bark. A lady who worked there (who had the patience of a saint) said it was her favorite and I can see why. I've heard that this is the most popular item at Läderach but despite theirs being really good, Sprungli's was better IMHO. All in all, if you're in Switzerland (or Dubai, I believe that's their only location outside of the country), it would be a darn shame not to go here. read more

Woot Woot - definitely a fan of Sprungli! I came here on a whim and ate upstairs in the main dining area for their breakfast. There's plenty of seating, and is the type of place where you just sit down, find a spot you like, while a server will greet you. There is options for an English Menu - so just ask. I got the Classic Brunch which came with a tiered plate of cheese and meats, and eggs to your liking. It was simple, but the display was elegant and special. After dining, be sure to take a look at the store below, where you can and should buy some of their version of the French Macaron ... Luxemobourgli (I know i spelled that wrong) - basically its a macaron that is way sweeter in my opinion and is way more delicate. Its so delicate that it does suggest to eat it within 4 hours - so taking this home to the US may be a problem, Oh well - i ate the whole thing while people watching right across the street anyhow. Guys I was disappointed by the flavors!! This is a beautiful chocolate shop in Zurich but I ordered three different truffles and 1 raspberry white chocolate almond cluster as well as two of their take on macarons (pistachio, lemon) and I am sad to report they were all really bad in my opinion. The macarons were almost the taste of Crisco, and they were hard and crumbly instead of chewy. The chocolates were also not as good as I expected, and coming from a visit to Geneva, I found much better chocolate shops there so my expectations were high. Definitely buy 1 or 2 to start before you spend a lot of money on something you might not like. The place was really busy. There is also a cafe next door but you can skip that line and come right into the store if you just want to buy chocolate. Wish they had better descriptions of their chocolates as well, but staff was helpful. Tip- everything is closed in Switzerland on Sunday's. Good news this place is open and you have a good view of the stores around. We tried one chocolate cake and one of the raspberry cakes and they were delicious. We also split an eggs Benedict and ordered lates. I would order everything again if I could.
