Fresh bread, open Sundays, and a relaxed-but-quick stop on the way home from the mountains. What else could you want in a train station bakery?
I dread the neighboring HB Migros, but this Stocker manages to stay cool and uncrowded, even during busy times.
The breads are excellent (especially the St. Galler), but I'm less convinced of the pastries (plum tarts are great, but some others are too doughy) and Birchermüesli (too much cream for my taste).
Definitely the best bread to be had on the way home on Sunday. read more
