This is one of several branches throughout Switzerland. It is visited by tourists but also Swiss folks (like me). Prices might appear high at first, but compared to factory-made chocolate it is definitely worth the extra buck.
They have nice Pralinés (with and without boxes) and other chocolate-related products. But we always come here for the chunks of fresh chocolate. Even though at first we weren't much into dark chocolate, that changed after trying some of these products here. They just taste different (and better) than their famous counterparts from Lindt / Cailler etc.
Some of our favorites are the white "Glacier", the "Florentiner Milch" and the "Honig Milch". But the dark ones are somewhat the best. We love the "Orange Mandel", "Grand Cru Brasil", "Cabruca Baumnuss" and the lovely fruity "Brombeer Dunkel". All good stuff.
You can ask for some samples if you're not sure and ask nicely. You can get it by weight or also in a nice tin can, stays fresher that way.
Since their standard is equally high in any of their branches it doesn't matter you buy them here in Zurich, in Lucerne or wherever. Highly recommended. As a souvenir, as a gift....or just to treat yourself :) read more
