The Hobby store for all your board/card gaming and model needs! The staff are delightful and…read moreextremely knowledgeable about the games and models they sell. There is a large variety of board games and models, and quite a few card games. They've done a great job maximizing the space they have and I hope they're able to some day move into a larger space! Would be great to have room to sit down and play games inside the shop. Would definitely recommend stopping buy and checking them out!

Would leave zero if the app would let me. This store does not stand behind it's own return policy…read more There policy as listed on their website states, "Not every decision can be a winner, and we understand that. That's why we like to keep it simple: if you are not 100% totally, completely, and unconditionally satisfied for any reason whatsoever, let us know! Here at LionHeartHobby.com, you are in safe hands." Purchased and item that you can't tell satisfaction without using it, and then their excuse was, "we can't take it back because it was used." This is why Amazon is taking over, price was lower and returns are accepted. No reason to support a local business when their prices are higher, and they lie about their return policy. Their return policy should just state Caveat Emptor, because when we say if you are not 100% totally, completely, and unconditionally satisfied for any reason whatsoever, let us know, we're just gonna tell you to go pound sand. And those safe hands don't even exist. Any business that can not stand behind it's policies is just lying. And liars don't deserve to be in business.

I've tried to give this store a chance, but the management of TCG events is a disaster. There is…read morezero consistency, and the staff constantly provides conflicting or false information. Major issues I've encountered over the course of a year: * Invalidated Sign-ups: I signed up for a Union Arena demo event through the official Bandai app. Despite having a confirmed spot, the store told us upon arrival that it was "first come, first serve." This completely defeats the purpose of official registration and wastes players' time and money. * Lack of Transparency: When asked why they aren't using Bandai, I was told they "can't control who attends" if they use it. Meanwhile, regulars at the store mentioned they received personal phone calls from the shop to sign up before the general public could. * Gatekeeping Promos: During a Lorcana event, staff attempted to withhold promos, stating they were only for "league members" rather than distributing them to event participants as intended This store clearly prioritizes a small circle of "regulars" over following official tournament rules or respecting the time of new players. If you aren't part of their "inner circle," don't bother signing up through official channels they likely won't honor it.

Today was the last time we will be going to this store for purchasing any type of MTG products. I…read morewill also say I have been playing Magic the Gathering for about 26 years, I can say I am experienced with the game, having bought booster after booster. We purchased two booster packs(which were over the general price for a booster), they were different ones. We were not able to hold them till we paid for them, and when we walked out the door, holding them, something felt off with one of the packs in particular. It was incredibly loose. We got into the car and opened one and I noticed immediately, the cards were not in the same order. Usually it is common's, uncommons, rare, mythic , land, then foil and token(if they have a token). This was arranged Token first, uncommon, rare, land and foil mixed within commons. We just got through purchasing cards from another shop, and we compared the packaging and it looks like they were opened down the center and resealed. Not only that, they smelled like - fruity vape (which we do not vape), so it feels like someone was vaping, going through cards, pulling out the expensive ones(because there was not a card in the pack over .35 cents), and filling it with random crap, and then resealing it, and then selling it for over $10. Now I am not saying the owner is aware of it, but something is wrong. I would have written the store(hoping to catch the owner), but the staff are terrible at returning communication with customers, and if something shady is happening, I doubt it would get to the owner anyway. So hopefully this reaches them and they figure out what is going on(shady employees, shady supplier, whatever is it), and it stops. For anyone looking to shop here, check out your booster before you buy it. If it is loose or anything looks weird, ask them to grab another. Do some research on how to tell if your booster has been opened, it is not hard for people to do now days.

I'm a sucker for anything British, even if it's a gaming room. Who doesn't love a board game cafe?…read moreThey had me with the architecture. Pure Tudor elements and vibes. They've got a huge outdoor patio with a Tardis and lots of seating. Inside they've got a couple of different rooms. You enter in the coffee house/bar side that has counter and table seating. They have a wide variety of tea, coffee, cocktails, 30+ beers on tap, n/a, sodas, etc. The center of space is a shop with gaming items, plushies, books, etc. Off to the right is a very large dining area with several cove-like Tudor booths. Perfect for large gaming teams and events and rad that you're able to have a meal or snack while playing (no outdoor food or drinks allowed). This is a perfect haven for D&D peeps. The British theme runs throughout the entire space including the menu. My boyfriend and I shared a Bavarian pretzel and brisket pie. The brisket pie was incredible and made feel like I was back in the UK at a local pub having a bite. Absolutely perfect. I'm not a gamer and you don't have to be to appreciate this inclusive, welcoming environment. It's eclectic, charming, & tasty!

Such an awesome, cozy little pub + board game bar! Met my book club here, and we loved it so much…read morethat we've decided to make it our go-to monthly meetup spot. Made a reservation in advance - for a small table, it cost $35. This includes 5 hour reservation time and unlimited access to their library of board games. They've got an extensive beer + cocktail list, coffee items, and a bunch of delicious pub food items to choose from. We shared a delicious spinach artichoke dip served with hot French bread. We also enjoyed hot cocktails on a cold winter night - hot toddy's and Irish coffee. Absolutely fantastic. After gabbing about the book, we chose to play Ticket to Ride, a classic board game. Had a blast , and look forward to coming back and trying more delicious drinks, eats and games!
