I've visited their other locations at Lakeline Mall and in San Antonio, and I've always loved the quality service and genuine care they bring to the Pokémon community. This visit was an accidental find while shopping, but it turned into a very pleasant experience. Pokémon is wildly popular, and it can be tough to track down products, so having a dedicated store like this right in the community is truly appreciated. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate, which made browsing even more fun. Inventory was well organized, and the atmosphere felt welcoming for collectors of all ages. Just scalpers with a store. Employees are weirdly rude, trying to justify pricing their sealed product 2x to 3x more than what they bought it for (and even more than current market 90% of the time). Same applies to their singles. They rely on unknowing people and parents of children who don't do their research to keep their business alive, not loyal collectors and people who enjoy the hobby. Store is also nasty, you can tell they prioritize sitting on their phones instead of taking the time to vacuum the store or apply basic hygiene to themselves and the store. Friend of mine was made fun of by someone working there after asking if they could price match something. Never going here again. read more

Pokemaniacs is a fun spot to stop by for all your card collecting or stuffed animal needs. Whether you have been a fan since 2000 or just starting out on your journey to catch em all, the staff here was very helpful in getting me started. The price is a little steep for some items but I believe I fair compared to the current card market. The staff is also usually a little to themselves but upon asking any question, I found the answers and experience to be very helpful. Would recommend just to check it out! read more

I read reviews and against my better judgement I went anyway. Almost everything was severely overpriced. Japanese booster boxes that are currently retailing for 65-75 were listed at $170, individual cards currently priced at $5 were listed for $12-$15 and don't get me started on the booster pack prices. Then came the staff. I stood at a card counter for 10 minutes waiting for the guy to stop playing with his fingerboard at the register. Other customers asked for help and he grabbed the lock keys and walked away before the guy even asked for what he wanted. Comes back, I'm still there staring at him waiting for some kind of acknowledgment but nope. More finger boarding. I finally get his attention and ask for a card that is actually correctly priced and he begrudgingly hands it to me. This store is straight up taking advantage of people who don't know any better. I watched parent after parent pay 200%+ of an item's worth. Not cool. read more

GET NEW EMPLOYEES!!!!!!!! On our visit, we went to the mall and this happened to be the first store we saw (the upstairs first), and we were so excited because we absolutely LOVE Pokemon, we thought it was meant to be. We got in there and we were just blown away with the amount of product. The stuff seemed expensive, but they were actually very cheap compared to other stores, however, we bought absolutely nothing, I'll tell you why. The employee was so rude, she made me so uncomfortable, I'd probably give her the trophy for WORST customer service and WORST employee of all time out of every single one I've ever met in my life, and I'm not even exaggerating. First of all, she was on her phone the whole time, even when she was with another customer. She was loud and had an attitude for absolutely no reason at all. It's like she was born with it. We asked her what the price of something was, and she literally held up her finger to my fiance and told him to come here with it, excuse you? Then she points to the sign she hand made that we didn't see because she was standing in front of and tells him "These are the prices for those". Every time somebody asked her a question, she would just look at them before answering with a look like "You're the stupidest person in the world". It was absolutely disgusting. We wanted to buy SOOO much, would have probably spent over $100 just in that store alone, but walked out with nothing because of how terribly rude this person was. She was short, looked Caucasian, brown hair, glasses, and a little bigger. You probably can't miss her since she can't put her phone down for 2 seconds. ***We went into the downstairs location, hoping It'd be better and we could give them some of our money, but the guy that was in charge of that store just didn't care. We were literally in there for 5 minutes and it wasn't until we were RIGHT next to where he was sitting behind the counter that he looked up and was like "Oh hi", then went right back to watching a video on his phone. No "Do you need help with anything?" or anything. Honestly, PLEASE get new employees or train your employees better, I'd love to see this place close down if these two employees continue acting the way they do. read more

Be careful purchasing anything from here!!! Just came in excited to spend some money and a customer in front of me grabbed a decent amount of packs. The customer came back in immediately after opening a pack to see the pack is resealed with cards from a completely different set. I was about to ring up my transaction and grabbed the packs I was intending to purchase and noticed my packs also were cut and resealed. I immediately told the cashier I didn't want them anymore and I would only purchase the Japanese packs. The cashier was really understanding and apologetic. If you're looking to rip some packs stick to purchasing the Japanese booster packs as they are harder to reseal! read more

I have spent a lot of money at this store, and my son loves to go here. But that all changed today when I went to the Lakeline location. I was going to get some of the new Celebrations items, and what I saw going on was insane. I was told all they had were the single packs for $7.99 each, which is crazy in and of itself. But in the back the employee was opening Elite Trainer Boxes to put the packs out for sale individually, and when I asked if I could purchase one of the 20 ETB's that I saw I was told they couldn't sell me one. What they are doing is shady, to say the least. Instead of selling the $50 ETB, they are busting them open and selling each individual pack for $7.99. There are 8 Celebrations packs in each ETB along with 6 packs of regular series cards. If they sold the regular series cards for $5 each, they would be making over $100 per ETB. If you are going to do that, fine, but please don't freaking open the boxes in front of the customers. All that does is let us know how shady your business is. You are no better than scalpers at this point. read more
