After a six hour tour of the Dutch country side, we were extremely hungry for a delicious schnitzel dish. We decided to skip lunch to enjoy a hearty evening meal. The restaurant looks modern, sleek and conveniently located in the Centraal train station. The view of Amsterdam Harbor skyline is spectacular. Our server was friendly and efficient. Now for my dish- I enjoyed the chicken schnitzel plate. The chicken is juicy, savory, and lightly fried. There is a side of corn and veggies- all good. You have a choice of pork, chicken or veggie schnitzel. Oh, the steak cut fries are awesome. It does seem like that the Dutch have mastered the pomme fritte! The eatery has a full bar. I digest the huge dish with a nice glass of Cabrenet wine. Overall, the eatery was satifying and quenched my hunger for a German meal.

Never had schnitzel before, my husband and I and some friends were vacationing here and had lunch. We all had different schnitzels with bratwurst to start and it was delicious! Wait staff was super friendly too! Highly recommend!

The place was very friendly and clean. The beer and bretzels were good. The spatzels were amazing and the Wiener schnitzel was awesome.

Located inside central station. Really yummy authentic German food! Try the schnitzel for something different from American food. Fries were fresh and yummy. Sausage is really good! Our server explained the different options.

Being a Californian it's hard to come by legit German food. Since I was somewhat in that neighborhood I made it point to try the best German food spot in Amsterdam. Overall the food here was extremely satisfying. Portion and price wise it was a great buy. Flavor wise everything on my plate was satisfactory. The German beer was boooooomb and somewhat of a highlight for me at this establishment. Overall the food was great and the service was good. One huge plus for this establishment is the location and the view it has to offer to its patrons.

    The lunch special €8.95

The place was clean and pleasant has a great view of the water if you sit on the far end of the bar. I had the lunch special schnitzel fries and a salad €8.95. it was good but never having authentic schnitzel in Germany I am not qualified to call out great.

My husband got the hollandaise schnitzel and I got the mushroom schnitzel. The hollandaise is my favorite

We were able to get seated right on the window area. We chose menu 5, which was just enough for two people. Everything was delicious! Their pea soup is out of this world. Don't know why as it is a simple dish but wow! I also love their herring. It was so delicious that I wanted seconds. It paired so well with their onions and mustard. And their bitterballen was just enough bite. Creamy and crispy! We also got a combination of the hutspot. They were all delicious! Although for me the meatball was just a tad bit salty but it is probably just me! Everything else was spot on. I love their dessert at the end. It was a great way to end the night. Our server and their staff were all amazing! Very friendly and welcoming. Yes it is a tourist spot but totally worth it.

We did not have one but they were happy to seat the 2 of us and invited us to switch tables once another couple left (they were checking out). Small space, can accommodate groups of 2-4, cozy atmosphere, lots of the traditional blue and white ceramics on the wall (dishes and tiles). Traditional Dutch cuisine: we ordered the Boerenkoolstamppot with smoked sausage and Zuurkoolstamppot with smoked sausage and a slice of apple pie to share for dessert. The food arrived piping hot in about 20 minutes. It was sooo delicious--the tasty juicy sausage pairs perfectly the mashed potatoes with either sauerkraut or kale. The apple pie was also tasty--larger chunks of apple and more spices less sugar than American apple pie from what I can tell. Perfect with whipped cream. A must visit if you're in Amsterdam and want to try traditional fare. Highly recommended!

The Pantry - I hadn't had Dutch apple pie since my days waiting tables at Denny's, in the '80s & this was well worth the wait.

It has a homey vibe inside and I enjoyed looking at the photos and other memorabilia on the walls. We got the stewed beef and Amsterdam chicken. It came with sides of boiled potatoes, cabbage and brussels sprouts. Portions were surprisingly large as they give you generous portions of sides. We had plenty of leftovers to take back. I'm not an expert on Dutch cuisine so I can't comment on the authenticity or the quality, but it was tasty. The beef and chicken were a bit on the salty side but paired well with the basic sides. Overall, it was a charming dinner experience.

The side of boiled cabbage and spinach felt pretty healthy too, consistency was on thicker side like a roux but not buttery. Our servers were nice and checked in to see how the food tasted or if we needed anything else. Only thing I'd flag was the bathroom, it's a very small space. The sink is right next to toilet which is 2 inches away from the door, so anyone that's really tall will have a hard time fitting/maneuvering. Good luck!
