    Chickpea pancakes

I had thought about coming here for a while, because it's reminiscent of the Little Collins in NYC. We queued up around 11:30am on a rainy Saturday - this place is hopping, no reservations taken. We were seated within 20 minutes, and the service was friendly and prompt. The fresh juices were delightful; I had the beetroot, apple, ginger juice and he had the spinach, celery, apple, jalapeño - they were both so good. I was happy that they had a vegan option so that I didn't have to worry about the dairy (as someone who is lactose intolerant), and I did get the poached egg on top. The vegan option that day was a chickpea pancake served with baba ganoush and tahini- I also asked for some hot sauce and they gave me freshly made fermented chili. It really brightened up my meal. We had a side of sucuk (turns out it a type of sausage) and though it was strange that they put the sausage directly in the cream of his French toast, in the end it was still a good pairing. Kinda of like chicken and waffles except sausage and French toast. In general a pleasant brunch catering to the expats who miss brunch. Like most brunch places, it is not going to be a relax-and-hang-out-for-hours situation because there is pressure to give up the table for others who are waiting, but I'd come back.

Food is amazing. Perfect brunch spot. Very cozy inside. Far from tourists. Love the vibe

Wonderful restaurant. Brunch was amazing. Poached eggs with pumpkin and the poached eggs with mushrooms were delicious, but I'm sure you can't make a bad choice here.

mole & guasacaca with bacon & eggs (I added this as this dish is meant to be vegan)

This spot was recommended to me from a friend who has visited Amsterdam and swears by this place! Was she right? YES. Though the menu is very small for brunch, each plate was so different and so good! I also loved the vibe! Natural lighting from the sun and very hipster but also chill and relaxing! I ordered mole & guasacaca (which is vegan) but I added bacon and eggs and I loved every bite! Kept me filled for the whole day! This place is definitely on my list of recommendations for others! Thank you!

Yum! My husband and I happened upon this spot. While we had to wait 30 min to get a table I felt like it was understandable due to the size of the restaurant and the time of day. I just reminded them that we were waiting at the 30 minute mark and they were able to seat us. I found that a friendly reminder was helpful for the busy staff running around. We enjoyed a seat at the bar, where we got to talking with the bartender. Super fun and warm. The food was great! We were hugely satisfied with our choices. I ate the hollandaise waffle, which was like a potato pancake covered in creamy hollandaise and topped with poached eggs. Delicious! Loved this spot.

I enjoyed Little Collins and it's small, comfortable location a lot. The service was pretty nice and the flavours were unique with an Australian twist. We ordered the kimchi bloody mary and the mandarin mimosa. The mandarin was very fresh and was a good pick-me-up. We also ordered the kimchi pocket and the braised beef. The kimchi pocket was definitely interesting and packed a lot of punch. I wasn't in love with the braised beef cheek, however. It lacked distinctive flavours, though it was still really filling and helped sooth my hangover. My favourite of the meal were the sausages. Salty and delicious! I think overall, there was something missing from the meal - whether service or salt, but it was still really enjoyable. Recommend for groups of friends.

I was taken here for a drink so my review is of little value. A nice cafe / bar / restaurant located in the busy De Pipj District of Amsterdam. It was one of the original Aussie inspired cafes in Amsterdam. The atmosphere is nice and cozy. It's a fairly small space with outside seating for the warmer months. Staff are very nice and they make some nice cocktails and offer brunch and other items throughout the day. Their wine selection is limited and perhaps they need to add some decent wine on the menu. The wine I had was ok but not great. A nice place I would like to come back to and try the brunch.

Made of fresh fruits, high quality ingredients, the French Toast are delicious ! Coffee could be better as almost everywhere around but in the acceptable range. Super friendly, American style service, some likes, I don't

Great little Cafe in the heart of de Pijp run by an Australian chef. We went there around 1pm and my was it busy! I left my name and took a stroll around the area until we had a spot outside! And my was it worth the wait! First up I had a smoky chipotle and bacon Bloody Mary! It was just perfect in terms of heat and the flavour profile was perfectly balanced! I ordered the Chistorra and guasacaca - spicy Spanish sausages with gruyere black bean pastry and a coriander salad - again through the roof on flavour and my friend ordered the eggs and waffles with hollandaise sauce which was just as sublime. Definitely worth a visit again and again and again if your in the area!

    Avocado toast

This is a really cute brunch spot near the Albert Cuypmarkt that we visited early afternoon on a Thursday. They have a lovely patio space (perfect for people watching) with a few two-top tables on one side and a few long picnic tables on the other. They also offer a dinner menu later on and are open daily save for Tuesday. Service was friendly and efficient-no complaints at all there. I started with a glass of sauvignon blanc (4.5 euros) and my husband had a long black coffee (3 euros). They have a variety of boozy brunch drinks on offer as well. Their menu is so unique-kimchi waffle, broken egg curry, and haloumi plum toast to name a few options. I saw several tables enjoying the avocado on toast, so I decided to order that despite never having tried that trendy dish before. The avocado toast had smashed avocado, green tomato & turkish pepper salad, tahini yoghurt dressing on multigrain toast , and came with two pieces. This was 9 euro, with an option oof adding poached egg (11 euro) or bacon (12.5 euro). The presentation was beautiful, and the dish itself was quite filling. I loved the tahini yogurt dressing, which added a bit of flavor to the avocado. I also loved the heartiness of the bread. I wish the dish had a bit more flavor (maybe it's just because I'm not the biggest avocado fan), but, overall I really enjoyed it. My husband ordered the ¡A HUEVO! which was chipotle braised beef , beans, baked eggs, smashed avocado, jalapeño salsa ,crème fraîche, coriander, and tortilla (15 euro). His came out in a mini cast-iron skillet, was piping-hot, and was a very generous portion. The braised beef was delicious and had a great spice! All of the ingredients complemented each other well, and he loved all of the flavors. The presentation of the dish, just like mine, was on point! I do believe, though, my husband chose the tastier dish of the two. I would recommend eating here, especially for brunch, for anyone visiting Amsterdam.

    Cilbir (with Bacon )!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Amsterdam might be known to be lackluster of good food, but that's only because you haven't been to Little Collins. The food is AMAZING. Innovative. Sit by the chef's counter for a mesmerizing show of dishes getting artistically composed. Must visit if you are in town. We enjoyed the hot smoked salmon plate and "the cilbir" -the latter was OUT OF THIS WORLD. Sucuk Sausage and the flaky delicate flatbread with labne ... we might have dreams about this meal. You are welcome. Thank me later.

Soo good but needs to be in a pint glass

Yay another great brunch place in Amsterdam! Everything was really good except for one thing and its the only reason why I can't give them 5 stars. The bacon! It's not that it wasn't good. It was just a-ok. When I think of a good brunch place I think of thick bacon cuts. The bacon here taste more like slices of ham :( But... Kudos to the corn fritters, Bloody Mary and egg dishes!

The waiter was super cool and told us to have a seat anywhere we liked and brought us a drink menu. He knew we wanted to eat so at exactly 4:30 he came and took our orders. Through out the meal he was on top of everything and even offered many suggestions! The food was spectacular as well. I had the trio of fries and my friends had other small plates that were all so good! And the sauces that come with the fries, mamma mia! We also shared the Boca's Platter and it was absolutely to die for. Do not pass this up. I repeat, do not pass this up! Between 4 people, the medium was plenty of food. The space itself was also nice. They had outdoor seating for nicer days. We went right when food service began on a Monday afternoon so can't speak to how busy it gets during peak hours. Go for the great service, go for the Boca Platter, whatever you do, just go!

The bruschetta was delicious and if you love blue cheese, get it...it's extremely rich and creamy. The three kinds of fries were solid; curly, sweet potato, and regular with some chili ketchups. The boca platter was HUGE and we got the medium for 4 people. Came with steak, fried shrimp, mackerel potato salad, crostini, and an assortment of cheeses and some pepperoni. Last but not least...my favorite...the tartare. The quail egg was delicately placed atop the center of the meat and placed alongside the four little crostini on the plate. It was juicy and had so much flavor, a little spicy but not an overwhelming amount of chili spice. This meal reminded me of tapas in Madrid; definitely stop by bocas and get everything!

After waiting to be seated, our hostess guided us upstairs to the third floor, where they have several more dining tables and cozy couches that you can sit on while you enjoy your coffee. My parents, having visited this cafe before during their last trip to Amsterdam, raved about this place and suggested that I try their famous coconut coffee. All three of us ordered their coconut coffee, with my dad adding an espresso shot to his own so that he could stay awake for the rest of the night. Once I reached that first sip, OMG. SO DELICIOUS. How can I make my own coconut coffee back at home?! I loved it so much that I really want to make a copycat of it. The straws are also bendable, which really makes it handy if you need to lower your straw a bit. If I could, I would get on a plane to Amsterdam just to come back for their coconut coffee. That's how delicious it is! Local or tourist, I strongly suggest Coffee & Coconuts. You will not regret coming here at all!
