I recall it being one of the only bubble tea spots in the area with decent drinks and I'm glad it's lasted so long. I got one of their newer matcha drinks and the taste was nice - what really pushed the review to five stars was one of the workers genuinely asking for my opinion and being transparent about how they were actively sourcing good matcha and experimenting with drink mixes. Super innovative and friendly! Overall, nice staff and nice drinks. Here's hoping it sticks around for another decade!

There was no one waiting at Okinawa Boba, which worked out for me, since I was in a bit of a rush. I usually prefer to get the fruit tea, but here they only make milk based drinks. I think in the summer, when it's still hot out, it's much more refreshing to have a fruit tea, than a milk based tea. I got the Ichigo Ruby, this is the strawberry flavor. The other options looked pretty good too. This looked so good, the way that the milk and the strawberry sauce marked the cup. As an added bonus, the strawberry jelly was heart shaped. I really enjoyed the Ichigo Ruby drink. It was pretty sweet and very tasty. I would come here again in the future.

Definitely not somewhere I'd bring a big group to hang out, but it's perfect for a couple of girlfriends to sit, chat, and sip. I was honestly a little skeptical about trying another matcha place after my experience somewhere else, but I'm SO happy I gave this place a chance! I tried the guava matcha, lightly sweetened, and added the cheese cloud. Yes, the cheese cloud is an extra charge, but MAN... do not sleep on it! It is a MUST TRY. It added just a little sweetness with a slightly salty twist to the drink, and it somehow made the whole thing even better. You can tell it was made with love. I didn't try any of the baked goods simply because I can't have gluten, but I will absolutely be back for more drinks! Finally found a matcha spot I'm excited about!

There's also a location in New Haven that I've been meaning to go to, I just haven't had the chance to yet. This cafe is so beautiful on the inside. One of the walls is all mirror, they have bar stools and some tables with chairs. The menu has so many options. I decided to go for the Banana Pudding Matcha Latte. It is likely that the man taking my order was hired either yesterday or today. He was so confused, he pointed to the menu at what I ordered and I reassured him, that's it. After a very short wait my order was ready. I was very surprised I didn't see any whisking or blending. My order was entirely wrong. Since I am non confrontational, I took the wrong order. I got the Banana Pudding. I have made this exact pudding before. It consists of vanilla pudding, vanilla wafers, condensed milk and sliced banana. Was it tasty? Yes absolutely! But I'd much rather get something that I can't make my self. The small cup was about the size of a small ice cream cup for $7. The bananas were fresh and the pudding was rich and creamy, the wafers were broken and soft. The mirrored walls were handy for making sure I'm not leaving with some sort of cream on my face. I indeed used it for this purpose. Bliss likely has something I would enjoy, I might stop by in the future sometime.

As a small business owner myself, I love seeing businesses like this grow and thrive. I remember when it was just the owner and one staff...there were now three working their butts off! You order at the counter and pick it up when ready in take-out containers. The cafe has a few tables for dining-in but no table service (and no tableware save for disposable chopsticks and utensils). While we were there, it was obvious that they do a brisk take-out biz. I had a scallion beef which was excellent; my daughter had one of their signature double-cooked pork dishes (which I must have next time), and my wife had a good garlic eggplant dish. My lychee tea was bang-on good, sweet and satisfying; my daughter's kumquat-lemon tea was crisp and refreshing. Service is quick and friendly. Definitely worth it!

It's a herbalife shop, that puts in that extra effort to be better than the others…read more I belong to a bariatric group, and this place was touted to be a very good place to get a protein shake. Since there's a couple good breakfast spots in the area, I decided I would go to this location and give them a try. Place was decked out with decor and inspirations sayings. I take a quick look at the displays, and I see the herbalife products. To the unintiated, herbalife shops are pretty much these MLM shops. Kinda like lularoe. they use social media to attempt to appear trendy while trying to encourage repeat business while harvesting as much info as they can from you. I don't really care too much about that, I care about the end product and how things taste. After being to a few of these shops, I can say that I'm not really a fan of their proteins. I feel that they use a little too much thickener and are a little gritty. the flavors are muted and they always try to justify the price of the shake by giving you a detox + energy tea to go with it. Their shakes pretty much taste like what I would expect a protein shake to taste like, if I didn't know how to make one myself. The biggest difference between these shops is how they are operated. This place is operated pretty well. The owner was very kind and inquisitive, though they could be a little pushy. This specific location actually has lots of extra items like protein balls and cookies. They also got very decorative with their shakes, layering shake and mix-ins and topping with pictures of shakes to help you make your decisions. I got a shake, a tea for the girlfriend, some protein balls, and because it was customer appreciation day I got a balloon, a valentine protein ball, and a gift certificate. I did enjoy the protein balls, they had a strong peanut butter flavor and a good texture. The protein shake was okay, was this apple pie shake with layers of granola, apple, caramel, and a little apple pie piece on top. The tea had a little bit too much of their fruit punch flavoring, but it was drunk. The difference between this herbalife shop and others is the staff and the hustle, and this place is trying very hard to be just that little bit better than it's competition. I respect this place for trying as hard as they do, but it is not the greatest of shakes. If you want a herbalife protein shake, give this place a try.

Get a shake which comes with a tea. They have all kinds of different flavors too choose and the teas are refreshing. Takes a little bit of time to make it all, but not too long. I'm personally not a big fan of Herbalife and their company. The shakes all had a hint of peanut butter that more masked the intended taste. The tea is good but I think our's might have been mislabeled. Overall, it is good if you're close by and have $30 to spend on two shakes and a tea. The best part is the owner who has a great story on how she went through a weight loss journey and is fun to speak to. I might be back but not sure on that since you can get similar shakes at many other places or at your gym. The highlight was the owner, she was worth the trip not the shakes.

It's an unassuming building but they've made it very cute! They have painted the brick around the bottom to look like stone as well as a continuation of the awning painted around the top. The inside is just as interesting. There is a huge wooden map of the world on the wall, a piano, and the lights over some of the tables are made from teapots. There is a large bar in the middle and plenty of seating. This place is larger than it appeared from the outside. The menu offered several types of teas- white, green, herbal, black with several different flavors within each type of tea. I chose a tropical white tea. It came out nice and hot with a packet of honey. My friend ordered a sweet crepe with mixed fruit. She loved it! I decided to try their unique offering of 6 mixed pancakes. It included 4 savory pancakes (beet, zucchini, squash, potato) and two sweet pancakes (Oladi, farm cheese). One of the sweet pancakes was fluffy but dry and flavorless. I think it was the Oladi. All of the other pancakes were excellent and the service was flawless. What a cute place with great food and service! I'll definitely be back!
