Dropped into WTB Mufflers with my 2002 Mustang GT. A friend and I cut out the old mufflers and welded in Cherry Bomb Extremes but ran out of time to get the tailpipes on. The car was drone city. I simply needed to get the tailpipes welded on and I was extremely happy I went to WTB Mufflers. I called a few shops beforehand and I got the best estimate from these guys. The staff is very friendly and professional. Even helped me get my keys that I accidentally locked in my car when I showed up. My check engine light came on in my sons Rover so I took it to our regular shop and they noticed that the driver side cat was cracked. I Called Marlon immediately to set up an appt for the next day and as usual, his team and service was superb. This is my third Land Rover I have brought to him in the last year and I'm pretty picky. They did and awesome job...top quality, reasonably fast while I waited and great price. The center muffler and tip were rusted out and he gave me a screaming deal in a used muffler. Paid $75 for a practically new Magnaflow that was gently used for about a day. They are extremely friendly and constantly talk to you and explain what's going on. I took my Camaro with an after market exhaust because it was rattling when I hit small bumps. They diagnosed the problem almost immediately (loose brackets) and went the extra mile by tack welding the system to give a little more security. Fast, value and really nice guys. read more

This place is top notch, I spoke to Marlon over the phone, I needed a new muffler and resonator put in due to the glasspack on my muffler blowing out. Marlon was patient and took the time to understand what I was looking for and what I really wanted out of my exhaust. i called to ask about pricing and was quoted the best pricing in San Diego for a replacement catalytic converter for my Land Rover. It wouldn't pass the smog test and I had not driven it for about a month. When I tried to start it, the battery was dead. Marlin and Jodie came to my condo to jump my vehicle with a jumper battery. He then drove my car to the shop for me to repair it. They did an excellent job on the repair. Unfortunately the battery was bad in the vehicle. My daughter and I went to pick up the vehicle and Marlin loaned me his jumper battery to take with me to put gas in the car so that I wouldn't get stuck at the gas station with a dead battery. I then later returned it to him that day. That is my idea of excellent customer service. You just don't get that kind of service these days. I highly recommend WTB!!! read more

We brought our Land Rover here for a very noisy exhaust leak of some sort. The exhaust noise sounded louder than a large diesel bus! It sounded like the muffler was going to fall off the vehicle...lol Marlon and Danny placed it on the hoist and noticed a bolt was loose. They tightened it and immediately the noise completely disappeared!Although we offered to pay they did not charge us. I wish the last place in Poway (BNC Auto Repair) had noticed this loud noise but they did not. I believe that the service here is very good and very professional. I really appreciate that Marlon has an in depth knowledge of how the exhaust works on many makes of cars. Marlon and Danny prevented future issues with the vehicle by tightening the bolt. If left unrepaired it could have cracked the exhaust manifold. Thank you so much for such great honest work! read more

I took my car here under the recommendation of a friend. My check engine light was on and after going to both my family's mechanic and another shop, they both told me that I needed to replace my front catalytic converter. I took it in and they were able to give me a quote right away. Both Marlon and Danny were very kind and helpful. As a female, I usually hate going to auto shops because I feel like they take advantage of you, but I felt so comfortable talking to both of them. I didn't feel intimidated at all. They were able to fix my car, at a fairly reasonable price I might add. I rarely ever leave reviews for any place, but as soon as I picked up my car and left the place I felt such a strong desire to. Hands down best shop around! The phone call alone is what bought me to them, very friendly, quick and got me in the same day. The prices are hard to beat, got about 4 quotes prior and nothing came close. I got a muffler welded on to a stock pipe and was literally there 25-30 mins, if that. It's been a few days and my truck sounds amazing!! Couldn't be happier. The guys working there are the nicest men, you would think after labor like that they wouldn't be in the best mood most of time but from phone call to the time I left, these guys were nothing but friendly and helpful. Dropped by WTB Mufflers this morning after reading all the great yelp reviews, and I can understand why WTB has solid 5 stars across the board. Came in right when they opened, knowing I had a strange exhaust request and could possibly take quite some time and collaboration. I was greeted by Danny, and I asked him about custom fabrication for my exhaust....for my scooter lol. Danny worked with me and did an excellent job on my exhaust. The request was definitely a strange one and something they probably don't do often, but it didn't stop Danny from getting it done! Once everything was mocked up and tack welded, I let Danny do his thing and chatted with Marlon, the owner. Marlon was awesome in making sure everything is going well, he's super friendly. Excellent, Excellent Service. First off, without even needing to haggle/negotiate, they quoted me the lowest price over the phone (out of 3-4 places I had called) to do some simple welding work on my exhaust system (ie. splice in a noise reduction resonator into the section 1 of my '03 BMW M3). The day I wanted to come in to get the work done, I called ahead of time and they said they were currently swamped but they would schedule me for later that afternoon. Sure enough when I arrived at the time they told me, they were ready to go and pulled my car right up on the lift. Each one of their employees was very friendly, and I think I shook three people's hands by the time I left :) When they were done, they even asked if I wanted to inspect the work myself while the car was still on the lift. My 1995 BMW 525i wouldn't pass smog. I walked in and talked to Dan. He was knowledgeable and not pushy at all. He looked at my smog numbers and said he thought a new catalytic converter was in order. I worked with Marlon to replace a cracked/warped exhaust manifold on my 2006 Ford F-150 5.4 3v motor. The exhaust leak made my truck sound like a POS and it drove me nuts for too long. This job can get expensive (and unpleasant!) if you break the threaded studs during removal, but Marlon's team didn't break a single stud, installed the replacement manifold kit, and now my truck sounds healthy and happy! Their labor cost was very reasonable, too. Highly recommend this place for all exhaust work! read more

Highly recommend this locally-owned business! My tailpipe detached from my muffler. I called and asked if they could fit me in to see if anything could be salvaged or if I needed to replace the whole system. Not a mechanical person, I am always skeptical. Marlon, who took my call and remembered me when I came in, took a quick look and said he could make it work and I'd be out the door in 30 minutes. He also noticed I am in the military and offered a discount. On the way out, I asked if they did anything other than mufflers. Marlon said, "No. We decided to do one thing and do it well." I walked in to see when they could fit me in to take a look at my truck. The guy at the shop said "how about now?" After an inspection, I was shown what was wrong with my truck. I was pleased I just had to replace the muffler, which just shows this shop will only make repairs necessary. This is a great muffler shop. I came in to have a catback exhaust installed on my BMW, and expected it to go pretty smoothly. However the hardware I purchased (from a separate performance company) did not want to fit correctly around a few pieces of the suspension. These guys were able to make it work, bending, cutting, and welding pipe and hangars as needed to get it to fit perfectly. They allowed for me to watch and show me their work as they did it and allowed me to inspect their work before finishing up. Even after the headache of an install, their price was as they had originally quoted, which was very reasonable. I was very happy to find this place; its refreshing to find a no nonsense shop where the guys really know what they are doing! read more
