First, Marlon deserves 6 stars. It wasn't an option. It was clear to me that Marlon knew what he was doing when he looked at my damaged exhaust system. He accurately diagnosed it, gave me a quote and lived up the quote. Also, when he was under my 26 year old car, he found some loose parts and welded them back to eliminate an annoying rattle that I knew about but didn't tell him. All fixed. They are wonderful people, honest brokers and do great work! read more

Marlon was really nice! He was able to troubleshoot my exhaust on my Kia forte with ease. Very friendly, pricing is solid for how fast he gets it done. Hard working dad I love his work! read more

Best exhaust business. I was 20$ short on a cash bill. He said oh come later and pay me. I mailed him a check.

If you are second guessing or contemplating, don't. Just do it. You WILL NOT, I repeat WILL NOT regret it. They took in my Camry XSE and made it not only sound like a beast but look like one too. These guys will take care of your car or truck, just give them the key and let them go to work on it. They are so nice they even let me watch step by step how it was getting done. They value their customers and it shows. You will not get better service or get a better price than at WTB Mufflers. Love what they did to my car and if anyone I know wants work done, I already know who I'm calling. read more

Good guy, reasonable prices. Added resonator on my exhaust, done while I waited. Solid welds, and sounds so much better.

Took the car in with a noisy exhaust. Ended up that a piece of the tailpipe (non-factory) was rusting out and had to go. I was able to watch Marlon do the repair, with obvious skill and perfection. I was impressed with the precision alignment of the pipes before welding. After completion, we had time to swap stories and just chill. I can highly recommend WTB without reservation. read more

Quality work at a reasonable price! Had them install an Eisenmann catback on my e36 as it required welding the muffler to the connecting pipes. Fitment and install was spot on. read more

I feel very fortunate to experience such great service that you just can't find these days. Marlon who is the owner was so patient with me to help diagnose my rattling noise in my muffler. I had to make 3 trips back to his shop and each time i was greeted with a willingness to fix whatever issues and/or questions I had. Thank you so much getting my 23 year old gal running normally again with a new exhaust system. Cheers! read more

Marlon was kind, approachable, and refreshingly honest. After explaining that he'd had multiple issues trying to repair Subaru exhaust systems, he let me know he no longer services them--and instead encouraged me to contact Subaru of America about the catalytic converter on my 2016 Outback (PZEV model). Thanks to his advice, I got it covered under the manufacturer's warranty and saved $4,000! I truly appreciate his honesty and integrity. A rare find in the auto repair world! read more

Did a great job tweaking my 69 GTO to stop the exhaust pipe rattle. Did the job fast and reasonable cost.

I came here to modify the exhaust tips on my car. The owner of the shop has the trade knowledge and skills that you don't see too often in the industry anymore. The shop has all the necessary tools for performing regular or customs exhaust work. I was very pleased with the result of the modification performed on my car. I would go back for all the exhaust related work in the future. read more

Great service from Marlon. None of that bait and switch. I asked for a quote to install a muffler. When I got the the shop, he went straight to work to get it done. After said and done, the price was what was quoted. I will definitely return back for other exhaust and emissions needs. Price was fair and excellent workmanship. read more

I felt so violated that someone stole our catalytic converter then had to go through all the trouble of getting it repaired and trying to move on with the inconvenience. Marlon was easy to work with and actually got our car done 2 days in advance. Great welding job and quick to order exactly what was needed. Reasonably priced and hopefully I'll never need to see him again for a catalytic converter! read more

Was looking to extend and replace the stock borla exhaust tips with some blue with carbon fiber ones I found on amazon. Came in one day just to get a quote and see how long it would take. Spoke with Marlon the owner and he gave me a very reasonable price. Went around to some other nearby shops and they quoted anywhere from 2x to 4x the price of what Marlon gave me! Came back a couple days later and was happy to hear that they could get my car on the lift and worked on right away. Took about an hour and they let me watch the whole process along with making sure the alignment looked good to me. Great place, would totally come back to them for any future welding that I'd need. Would recommend calling in advanced before just showing up to make sure they can fit you in though. read more

I was lucky enough to come when they weren't busy, but they gave me a legit price on an exhaust pipe that I damaged out in Ocotillo Wells doing some off-roading when I backed up into an embankment. Danny and Derek were super helpful and friendly. They replaced the whole exhaust pipe from the muffler back to the exhaust tip. It was a fair price for the time, mandrel work, pipe, and welding. I first went to Midas in Encinitas to have an 45° elbow and a bracket/hanger J-Hook replaced. They gave me a rip-off price of $250, I'm glad I came to WTB Mufflers. I highly recommend WTB Mufflers if you want quality work at a fair price. They got me in and out in under an hour, I will definitely be coming back. read more

These guys are awesome. Best price, very honest and hard working. Told me the truth about exhaust cutouts and still installed thoroughly and quickly (under an hour). WTB built a complete exhaust system for my 1974 FJ40 from the header back. The pipes needed to be routed above my skid plate and muffler tucked in high within the frame rails. I also relied on MTB guidance on the specific muffler to be used based on what I was looking for sound-wise. WTB did an outstanding job on all. Routing, muffler selection and quality of work were great. Their welding bead was spot on. WTB really stands out as a shop you can trust. I rarely write great reviews. WTB earned this. read more

I'm so glad my husband finally did something about his exhaust because it was driving me crazy everytime I have to drive his truck. It is loud and obnoxiously louder inside the truck when I'm driving and it would drone everything out, music and conversations. That's why we always take my car instead of his. I am so glad Marlon, the owner at WTB muffler took care of us and the truck. The quick service Marlon and his employees gave were phenomenal. I have my almost 2 years old and my teenage son with me and Marlon were able to get us in and out within an hour. The exhaust looks amazing and the sounds are awesome. I can actually listen to my music without hearing too much of the exhaust on the freeway. Definitely will always come back for more work when we get another car soon lol read more

Someone tried to make off with my catalytic converter. Seems like someone interrupted them. Took it to WTB and they were professional from the front desk to the mechanic. Mechanic told me that replacing the catalytic would've been $3400. But because they didn't get it, WTB only charged me $100 to weld the pipes back together again. Well run business! Brought my truck in to have a cat-back installed, and to investigate a rattling sound I had after installing headers myself. The team at WTB was friendly, fit me into their schedule quickly, and charged a reasonable price for the cat-back install. The only reason I'm leaving 4 stars instead of 5 is they didn't put much effort into finding and resolving the rattle. They told me they couldn't replicate it and that it might have just been a lose mesh blanket around the flex pipe. However, as soon as I got back home and went under the truck myself, I found that the y-pipe was sitting only a hair away from the transmission oil pan, and one of the catalytic converters was now rattling against the floorboard of the cab (both due to headers being slightly shorter than the stock exhaust manifold). This should have been an easy discovery for a shop with a lift, so they lost a star for the lack of effort. Overall, I'd say I recommend the shop for your exhaust needs. read more

I have been going to WTB for over 10 years now and every time WTB has exceeded my expectations. I have had several cars with custom exhaust and will never go anywhere else. I don't even live in the area as I live out in the East county. Staff here is friendly and the pricing can not be beat. Very trustworthy, family owned business. I called WTB Mufflers because I was having issues removing a 15 year old axleback exhaust myself, due to extreme rust, in order to make way to install an aftermarket exhaust I purchased for my vehicle. They told me I could come in that same day a little after noon. When I arrived, they were very friendly and welcoming and took my car in right away. They removed my old axleback exhaust and installed the new one in less than 30 minutes. On top of that, they made me pay less than what they originally quoted me over the phone. Marlon and his crew are very honest mechanics that work efficiently and effectively. I'm so glad I went to them for my exhaust system work. I would definitely recommend these guys to anyone who needs this kind of work done. read more

Went in and had my cracked muffler replaced. Charged me triple the cost of the muffler (found it everywhere for 55 and charged me 175). I called and questioned it and he stated that you can find mufflers cheaper online then what he can get it for....i get a markup on a part but not triple. Be sure check prices before you agree to what they're charging. read more

I finally decided to swap the single 4" tip on my Silverado for a dual 4" tip after seeing one by my work and thinking it looked really cool! I ordered up my tip on Amazon and it arrived on a Saturday. Having limited free time during the week, I decided to take my truck and the new tip to the one open exhaust shop I could find on a Sunday. The guy welded it up for me and on the rack it looked just fine. I drove home and it was then that I realized he didn't take the time to level it or match the lines of the truck. I was bummed out, but decided to take it to a shop by my work on Monday to have them fix it. The second shop did a better job and didn't charge me much, but after a day, I really still wasn't happy because it still wasn't installed level. Finally, a couple days later I decided to swing by WTB in Poway. I hadn't seen these guys in at least ten years, but they had done multiple vehicles in the past and always had done a good job and now that I live close by, I thought I'd drop in. I got there too late for them to help me that day, but Dan took a look and immediately realized why I was frustrated with the tip. It was a good looking exhaust tip but wasn't installed at the right angle. I ended up swinging by this afternoon and Dan was able to put my truck on the rack. He and Richard cut my old exhaust pipe off and began fabricating a new one versus making the old one work. They got everything perfectly level and aligned and tacked it together just so I could see it and make sure I was happy with it. Once I confirmed it was perfect, Richard hit it with some clean welds and got it all finished up. Their attention to detail is really what impressed me. They got my opinion to make sure I was happy, they checked their welds thoroughly with a mirror to make sure I didn't have leaks and to top it off, they hit it with some high temp black paint so there wasn't a bright silver pipe leading to my black exhaust tip. These guys are seriously the best in the business anywhere in North County and I regret not waiting and coming to these guys first. I would have no reservations referring friends and family here! read more
