I had a very frustrating experience at WSS in Whittier and would not recommend this location. Over the past few weeks, I went in THREE separate times trying to buy black Pro Club shirts in a size medium for my 14-year-old son. Each visit, I was told something different -- first they'd have them in a few days, then they still didn't have them, and finally I was told they could order them for me and have them shipped to my home. I agreed and very clearly ordered THREE medium shirts as part of their promotion (3 for about $32.50). When my order arrived, I received ONE medium and ONE extra large tall. That is absolutely not what I ordered and makes no sense, my son is slim and medium barely fits him. When I called the store, the manager (Manny) told me there was "nothing he could do" because their system shows that's what was ordered. That response was unacceptable. The employee who helped me (Cassandra) was friendly, but the order was clearly placed incorrectly. (AIRHEADS) To make things more confusing, the total I was charged didn't even match the promotion and ended up being around $21.06 after some kind of discount she gave us because he was a student and showed her his school ID. After multiple trips, wasted time, and receiving the wrong items, there was zero accountability or real effort to fix the issue. Very disappointing experience. I won't be returning to this location. Which is unfortunate because it's the closest but they always mess up something and don't properly train their staff! read more

Shout out to the gentleman (Sorry, I didn't get his name) and to Emily for going above and beyond to help me. After picking up my order at another location, I was given shoes with some defects. Being told by that particular location I could exchange at any other WSS, I went to Whittier. Was told that the original location shouldn't have given me the defective shoes. Emily went out of her way to call Customer Service. Unfortunately they were already closed. She continued to help me. Searched for a location local that had the same pair and size. I appreciate the help. Seriously though, WSS returns/exchanges should be able to be made in store even when you're ordering online and picking up at a store location. It's a major hassle printing a label, packaging the item and what not. read more

Rude customer service! There's a bald worker there, he's tall, light skinned, Latino. He was super rude when I asked if they had a particular pair of shoes and he rudely replied back and in a very unprofessional manner "No, we don't have that here". Terrible customer service manager who would not exchange the shoe size of my daughter's shoe. Manager would not budge and repeatedly and refused to exchange because she said the shoes were worn, how can you wear shoes when it was purchased and returned the very next day. It was an exchange in size not even a refund. Terrible experience instead go to any other shoe store but stay away from this one. It is too bad I thought I had found my local shoe store now I don't mind driving to Montebello or Norwalk. I would rather rate this store zero. My husband has 2 prosthetic legs and needed new shoes. Jocelyn provided great customer service for us today. She searched through the shoes in stock to find the ones that fit my husband perfectly. She even put the shoes on for him. I didn't expect there would be this kind of personal service for shoes any more. Most places are self serve. Just left this location and was extremely disappointed in the customer service my family and I received. The cashier, Sebastian, who was also the supervisor was very rude. Made no eye contact and barely spoke. He was busy talking to the security guard trying to locate his staff. He even had the security guard add 47 + 47 on his cell phone. I do want to acknowledge the security guard for having good customer service. He greeted us when we entered and when we exited the store and told us to have a good night. I am a supervisor and understand you are busy and trying to manage the daily store operations but that does not excuse poor customer service. As a supervisor you are held at a higher standard. Like an another customer had mentioned take the time and drive to the Montebello location. read more

Never order shoes for delivery. I've order a pair since the beginning of September and I'm yet to receive them. There was a file claim and they don't know what happened to the package nor do they care about it. All they said was you're gonna lose your package and your money. File a police report. I normally do not write reviews however the costumer service of Emanuel was amazing! Thank you so much for helping me with my problem. I went in to buy my toddler some shoes at the Whittier location, when I got to my mom's house in Paramount, we realized it was 2 left shoes... when I went to the paramount location to return them they immediately turned me down and did not help me, in which I called the Whittier location and spoke with Emanuel. Emanuel went out of his way to provide excellent costumer service in which I then was able to return the shoes at the paramount location. Terrible customer service by Jessica the manager. Claiming there was a scratch on one of the shoes I bought, that had been previously tried on by someone before (they were missing the paper inserts and the paper was wrinkled) she refused to exchange my daughter's shoes for a bigger size. My daughter had tried them on in the house, never went outside and took them off in less than 3 min. While there may have been a couple dog hairs which could've been easily removed by tape or had told me clean them and she would exchange, she focused on a "sctratch" on the toe of the shoe. There was no scratch. And she insisted they were absolutely perfect the first time she looked at them. Apparently they weren't after one little test inside the house. Anyhow, I went to a BETTER WSS, with BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE. The manager there did an inspection, was satisfied and IMMEDIATELY exchanged the shoes without question. I was tempted to go back to show her employees what better customer service looked like. It's too bad I couldn't get the help I needed from WSS in my own community. Do better Jessica. I would have paid the difference not to deal with her. She was very rude even when we thanked her. I think they named her Jess to Jess leave her alone! read more
